Why cannot I import the package of j2ee?

Hello,
I am a beginning learner of J2EE but I am an immediate learner of J2SE.
I have 3 questions. First of 2 is that why cannot I import the package of the J2EE, such as import javax.mail.*; ?
Second question is that can anyone of you suggest me to write what J2EE program in order to let me learn the J2EE? What J2EE program example can you suggest me to write?
Third question is in order for running J2EE application, what tool or tools should I have? Is the tool j2sdk1.4 java tool enough?Hardly enough?

enough?Hardly enough?Since that doesn't even have any J2EE classes in it, not enough at all. Look for the J2EE download link.

    HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...
    Perhaps you have an app running. Try force quitting.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
    If that doesn't make a difference, reset your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds until you see the Apple logo.
    Make sure your iPad software is up to date. Connect the iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes if it doesn't open automatically. Under the Summary tab click: Check for Update

    please can somebody have idea ,what could be the reason .
    thanx in advance
    regards
    pratap

    Pratap,
    Please download the cpcontext files whose package structure is oracle.apps.fnd.cp.request.CpContext
    from the google or other search sites or download it from application unix server $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/fnd/cp/request/CPContext .
    If it is a class file then convert it to java file by using java decompiler.
    then plalce the file respective folder by creating folder of this name. e.g. if
    the package structure is oracle.apps.fnd.cp.webui the create folders in myproject folder in jdeveloper

    Hi Friends,
    I'm pretty new a Portal developement in Java. Can you please help regarding this issue.
    1. i have installed C:\j2sdk1.4.2_09. I did settings for all classpath of jar files.
    2. In Netweaver Developer studio,  when i tried to import the following packages , it throws errors
    The packages are
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.*;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.event.Event;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.page.DynPage;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.page.PageException;
    import com.sapportals.portal.htmlb.page.PageProcessorComponent;
    can please let me know, what i have to do to overcome this problem. Appreciate your help

    For whatever reason, SAP requires that you add a reference to them within you application and project for that sake.
    On your project do the following:
    1) Right click on the project
    2) Select add/remove additional libraries
    3) Expand sap.com and put a check next to com.sapportals.htmlb
    4) click OK button
    It will give you a message window after you click OK which states something like you have to add the reference to the application. Follow the next steps to add the referece to you application.
    1) Expand you application
    2) double click on application-j2ee-engine.xml
    3) Select references and click add
    4) click on the "select library/interface/service" button
    5) Select the same package as above and click OK.
    Build both and deploy.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    From the WhatsApp FAQ:
    At this time, WhatsApp Web is available only for Android, Windows Phone 8.0 and 8.1, Nokia S60, Nokia S40 Single SIM EVO, BlackBerry and BB10 smartphones.
    Unless and until WhatsApp decides to make the option available to iPhone users, it will not be.

  • Why cannot I resize the Tiles area of the start menu when the Task Bar is anywhere but at the bottom (Left, Right, Top)

    I have been using the Taskbar on the LEFT. Even before it came to windows, I used a freeware taskbar written by some dev - if I am not mistaken in Windows 3
    This is because it is always easier to move the mouse Left-Right than Up-Down without lifting your hand off the mouse to reset the position, especially now in these times of hires monitors.
    The taskbar is by default at the bottom in Win 10. Why? Who knows. I moved it to the left.  I found that when the taskbar is at the bottom, I could pop out the startmenu and RESIZE the TILES area.
    But in any other position, Left, Top or Right you cannot resize the tile area of the taskbar. You first have to set it to the bottom, resize and then reset it left and if this is the wrong size for you you have to go thru all this over and over.
    Since resizing is allowed for the taskbar it should not be restricted to only the bottom setting users.
    Bernard

     I found that when the taskbar is at the bottom, I could pop out the startmenu and RESIZE the TILES area.
    But in any other position, Left, Top or Right you cannot resize the tile area of the taskbar.
    I can confirm your finding. It's clearly wrong to have such an
    inconsistency. Have you reported it using the reporting facility?

  • Keeping media on an external drive, why i tunes imports the files to the Mac drive? it doesn't do that on windows?

    I keep music and video media on an external drive. When using itunes on mac it copies media to mac hard drive. this uses lots of space of course. on itunes for windows it keeps the files on the external drive which is great. is there a way to use itunes for mac to sort and manage the library without copying media to the mac drive?

    Well, I can say that the question is partially solved.... while most of my music library popped up, much of it did not.  The only common denominator I can see is that the music I transferred off of disc may not have transferred over, only the itunes purchases?  I can't see for sure.  I am still trying to figure out how to get the new itunes app on my new hard drive to see everything without me having to click on every file thats missing.  Let this be a lesson to all to back everything up on time machine.  I thought that having my data on a seperate hard drive would be ok.  Seriously wish I had used time machine.

    Divyanshu - sorry to ask but can you explain why i need to update r3load and r3trans to resolve this error? Just want to understand why I'm doing a correction so I can learn from the same.
    Also, can you clarify the file update process:
    For R3load:
    a) the r3load used by the command is dated 8/16/2011 (location:C:\usr\sap\AVV\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64\...)
    b) the r3load i have in my db folder is dated 10/23/2011 (location:C:\Final\Installer\BS7i2011_Installation_Master_\DATA_UNITS\BS2011_IM_WINDOWS_X86_64\ORA\UC\...)
    Do i replace (a) with (b)?
    For R3trans:
    How do I update this file?

  • Problem importing a package

    Hello all! I'm relatively new to Java programming, but an experienced programmer in other languages, which is why this problem is so disturbing.
    I'm running through an exercise in the Thinking in Java book that introduces you to packages and importing packages. The code runs fine if I explicitly import the package by name, but not if I use the "*" wildcard.
    I'm running on Windows NT, and my CLASSPATH variable is:
    CLASSPATH=.;D:\Java\Books
    Here are the programs that work:
    //P.java
    package tools;
    public class P {
      public static void rint(String s) {
        System.out.print(s);
      public static void rint(int i) {
           System.out.print(i);
      public static void rintln(String s) {
        System.out.println(s);
      public static void rintln(int i) {
           System.out.println(i);
    //PrintTest.java
    import tools.*;
    public class PrintTest {
      public static void main(String[] args) {
           P.rint("Test String print - No line feed...");
           P.rintln("---");
           P.rint(1);
           P.rintln("");  //Force line feed.
           P.rintln(2);
           P.rintln("---");
    }Both of these files reside in the D:\test directory, and I compile them from that directory.
    To compile the P.java program, I use the following statement: javac -d . P.java
    The P.class file ends up in the D:\test\tools directory, which is fine. When I try to compile the PrintTest.java file, I get an error for each reference to the P class as follows:
    PrintTest.java:6: cannot resolve symbol
    symbol: method rint (java.lang.String)
    location: class P
    P.rint("Test string print - No line feed");
    However, if I change the first line in the PrintTest.java program to:
    import tools.P;
    Then it works.
    Why is the import working with an explicit call to the class, but not with the "*" wildcard? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been through all of the forums, the documentation, etc. and can't find a definitive answer.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tim

    Here is the error that I'm getting when I compile the PrintTest.java file.
    PrintTest.java:6: cannot resolve symbol
    symbol: method rint (java.lang.String)
    location: class P
    P.rint("Test string print - No line feed");
    Actually, I get one error for each reference to the P class in the PrintTest code, so there are 6 errors total.
    The P.class file is in the \tools directory under the directory where the PrintTest.java file exists, so the "import tools.P;" command works and the file runs OK, but when I switch to the "import tools.*" command, I get these errors. I'm just confused as to why it works when it is explicitly imported, but not when it is wild-carded.
    Thanks for the help! I'll keep trying...

  • How to import a package in jsp

    i've searching here and i've not found answer to this, so i write it here.
    i've created a class to send mail, it imports the javax.mail.* and javax.activation.*, in a package named jspbeans.
    now, when i try to use this package in my jsp page (using tomcat), gives me the error:
    Package jspbeans not found in import
    import jspbeans.*;
    the code for my jsp page is:
    <%@ page language="java" %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Sending mail from JSP</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%@ page import="jspbeans.*"%>

    <%//sendmail.send();%>
    <p>
    Mail has been sent to <jsp:getProperty name="sendmail" property="to"/>
    </body>
    </html>and the path of this jsp page is:
    C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\tomcat\jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1\webapps\ROOT\pruebas\jspMailTest.jsp
    the path for the package is:
    C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\tomcat\jakarta-tomcat-3.3.1\webapps\ROOT\pruebas\jspbeans
    what am i doing wrong?
    what am i missing?
    how do i have to import the package?
    thanks

    it generates a
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/MessagingException
    i changed the package to that directory and the import generates no errors, if i do nothing but the import, and soem printing, the page is generated, but when i try to assign the variables, generates that error, why is it?

  • Why do we import a class

    Why do we import the class TestFile and not call the class instead like in the code given below
    package test;
    import testing.TestFile;
    import java.util.StringTokenizer;

    "import" basically just defines aliases for class names. It lets you specify just the class name, without the full path. It makes the code easier to read.
    You don't really call classes at all in Java. You call methods. You can do that later in the code.
