  • How can i remove one song from a playlist on the iPod?

I would like to remove a single song from a playlist.  When i connect to my laptop and click manually mangage music, i don't see an option for deleting a song.  I can click on the song, but delete does not work.  I also tried dragging to the trash, also unsuccessful.

If you want to delete songs directly from the iPod, it needs to be set to Manually manage music on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes.  If you are using automatic syncing, you cannot delete songs directly from the iPod; instead, you update (remove songs from) the playlist(s) being synced to the iPod.
If the iTunes sidebar (left side of iTunes window) is visible, select the iPod under the heading DEVICES.  If the sidebar is hidden, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
Click on the small triangle to the left of the iPod's name, to drop down the iPod's content list, indented under the iPod.  Click on Music there.  Over to the right, you see the list of songs currently on the iPod.  If the iPod is set to Manually manage music, you should be able to delete songs from that list.  Select the song (or set of songs) you want to delete, and press Delete on the keyboard.

  • I am using a macbook leopard why can't i bring songs from my playlist to my ipod i get an error message saying ipod can't be synced disk not found this just started happening

i am using a macBook Leopard and suddenly I can no longer ring my songs from my playlists to my ipods. I keep getting the message Ipod can't by syncd disk cannot be found. this has never happened before and I have 4 ipods that cannot be upedated or changed.

This happens with ALL of your iPods?  So, it's probably not a problem on the iPod side of the connection.
If you have not recently (at least since this problem occurred), be sure to restart your Mac.  At the same time, you can also Reset your iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1320
A Reset just restarts the iPod (it is not a Restore).  Then try it again.
If that does not help, select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, on the Summary tab, if Enable Disk Mode is currently NOT checked, see if checking it and clicking Apply makes any difference.  This is more of a test.  If that setting makes a difference, it may provide a clue for the actual cause.

  • Cannot select or play songs from iphone playlist

just started having an issue of not being able to select songs(all purchased from itunes at one time or another), photo display of artist closes immediately

When you enable iTunes Match on your phone you can no longer manage your music using iTunes, you have to download it from iCloud.  With iTunes Match, when you play a song it simultaneously downloads in the background.  You can also download complete albums by going to the album and tapping on the cloud download icon.  Unfortunately, at the present time, the only way to delete music once downloaded is to delete all music by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swiping All Music and tapping Delete.  Hopefully they will restore the option to deleted individual songs again in a future update.

  • How do i remove purchased songs from my playlist

I have 1 playlist designated for my iPhone.  All songs purchased on iTunes show up on my phone, regardless of whether they are on that playlist or not.  I'm sure there's a setting I'm missing!

On the iPhone: You can swipe to the right on the song you want to delete. Then tap the Delete botton.
In iTunes: Go to: iTunes > Prefrences > Store. Turn off "Automatic Downloads".

  • How do I remove itunes songs from my Itouch

When I sync it, all my music library went into my iTouch, and that wasn't my intension, how do I remove them?

I'm been asking the same thing, on how to remove songs which I don't want on my iPod touch anymore. I remove some songs from my playlist on iTunes and I still got them on my iPod(even after syncing my iPod to the computer). In my opinion, I'm not doing things the right way in order to delete those songs fro
my iPod since there still on my iPod.... Does anyone know if there a feature on the iPod to remove them manually from my list?

  • HT1451 how do I remove a song on a playlist

How do I remove a song from my playlists?

If you want to remove it from a playlist, but leave it in your library, highlight it and click Delete.  (This works in regular playlists, not in Smart Playlists, since the latter populate themselves by their rules.)
If you want to remove it entirely from your library, highlight it and hold Shift while you click Delete.

  • Why cannot I drag and drop songs from one playlist to another?

Actually I have two questions.  I just updated from Leopard to snow leopard.  Now when I import songs, it says "Do you want to import to burn playlist?"  I click "yes".  Then when it is finished copying, I go to "playlists" on the top of the screen and click on the "burn playlist" and it says there are no items.  Where did the songs go.  I would like to burn a playlist that I imported this way.  I haven't tried arranging songs in the order I want them yet, but now see that is an issue also.  I also used to see a list of my playlists on the left side of the screen and the songs within each of those playlists when I clicked on them and easily could drag and drop songs from one playlist to another.  How do I do the same functions that I used to do before I updated? Does this update make it impossible to do the same functions as before?  Where can I find a "manual" of sorts to direct me to explain this new format?  If there is no way to do these things, I will have to say that I want my old iTunes back.  Can I do so???  Actually, the only reason I updated was so that I could play pix and movies from my camera into iPhoto.  When I did so, it said I had to update other programs to get iPhoto to work.  I am trying very hard not to be very frustrated.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After poking around for a while figured how to do things in this new iTunes.  Not as intuitive as the old one.  Sorry I don't have time to tell what I figured out.  Maybe some other time.

  • I would like to know, on the ringtone page, where you can select songs out of your music library, is there a way to remove a song from the list after its selected? I would thin there would be a way to "delete" the songs from the list. (Clock app)

    Let me explain:
In the clock app for ios 6.0.2 I am a little confused. It allows you to go into your music library, and create a ringtone using any songs you choose. However, I cannot find a way to remove a song from this list, just like I cannot delete one of the preset ringtones (which I'm not trying to do, but just as an example)
Thanks for your time! If you need more information just ask.
(I believe both my iPod and iTunes are up to date)

I believe you just are able to delete them from iTunes.
    Hope it will be helpful

  • Why can't i sync songs from other sources in my library into my iPhone?

why can't i play songs from other sources in my liberay that i sync in my phone

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

  • I can not remove a song from my ipod

I can not remove a song from my ipod and already synced more than 5 times and I do not know what I have to do.
    Please help me.

You cannot delete from a smart playlist unless you also delete from your iTunes library (or change the criteria of the smart playlist).
Just delete it from the library and it will delete from the Smart playlist.
Option Delete removes it from the library and the playlist.
