From the WhatsApp FAQ:
At this time, WhatsApp Web is available only for Android, Windows Phone 8.0 and 8.1, Nokia S60, Nokia S40 Single SIM EVO, BlackBerry and BB10 smartphones.
Unless and until WhatsApp decides to make the option available to iPhone users, it will not be.

    Try holding down the trackpad button while starting up the PowerBook.  Holding down mouse button during start up ejects the disc in the optical drive, so I'm guessing it would work the same with the button the the trackpad.

  • Why it take so long to start the SAP Web Application Server?

    As I read from the doc that starting the SAP Web Application Server will take from 25 to 40 minutes, I don't believe. But as I try it on my machine, it does take really so long. Isn't it a wonder?
    I am used to work with Tomcat, JBoss, BEA etc. None of them will take so long.

    Hi Chen,
    In a WAS I assume that it has dual stack (ABAP + JAVA)
    For the startup of a ABAP Stack it generally takes about 2 minutes or so.
    And for the WAS JAVA STACK should take around 8 to 15 minutes depending on the application, services and hardware sizing.
    The reason for the long time required for a WAS Java Stackis:
    JAVA Stack depends on three diffrent components: a) dispatcher(java) b)SDM c) Server0 process.
    Now before the execution of all these the first thing what happens is the initializastion of jcontrol which inturn initiates the java bootstrap process.
    At this moment of time the JVM environment takes some time for the loading and memory management. Once the JVM is loaded successfully then only the three compnents (SDM, dispatcher and server0) are initiated to run.
    The SDM and dispatcher do started up with a couple of services and hence require not toomuch of time.
    But the main component i.e Server0 process consumes a lot of time to startup at it requires many of the Java stack services to start before it reaches running state.
    Again the port configuration for HTTP for SDM , dispatcher , server0 and java process also takes place.
    So this was an overview for the Time required for a WAS Stack to come up in operational condition.
    Apart from this , seeing specifically to your scenario, wherein it takes 25 - 40 minutes could be an issue with the Hardaware sizing of the Server and the Sofware compnents / tools loaded. We might need to analyze it in more detail to get a clear picture.
    I hope this helps you!

    Prem

  • Using the Embedded Web Server To Connect A Wireless Printer To Your Network

    AKA:No Wireless Setup Wizard Button, which would be way easier.
    The Prelude
    Some entry level printers do not offer a 'Wireless Setup Wizard' button, or a menu option that is accessible from the front of the printer. Printers that do not offer this luxury option, can still be easily configured to communicate to your router if you have a Mac or Windows PC.
    You still may have an easy option to get your network settings configured in your printer, if your router supports WPS. I personally do not like to use WPS as it can bring its own frustrations. WPS is not within the scope of this document.
    This document is geared towards the last available option, and in my opinion the best option. It can however be the most involved option. I am referring to using the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Most modern network capable HP Printers have a setting page that can be accessed from a web browser. The process is rather simple, but many confusing hiccups can occur, and that is what I hope to prepare you for.  There will be variances for different printers. I am using my experience with consumer printers that have been around the last few years.
    First, do not get overexcited about this document: Accessing the HP Embedded Web Server. Don't get me wrong, it is a great document, it's just that the instructions, while accurate, will not work until your printer is configured to connect to your network first. We will revisit this later however.
    Seatbelts Please
    The first thing we need to do, is have the printer broadcast its own network, sometimes referred to as AdHoc, sometimes referred to as Auto Wireless Connect. To do this, you need to navigate the menu system of the printer, and find the option to reset the network settings, network defaults or something similar. If your printer has the Wireless Direct feature you won't need to reset the network settings, but this is a perfect time to make sure Wireless Direct is turned on. If you aren't using Wireless Direct, the timer starts. Generally speaking, for the next two hours, the printer will broadcast an 'HP Setup' network, or have some variation of the printers name listed in available wireless networks. Regardless you should have plenty of time, if you read it all first and then went throught the steps.
    *Preparation:
    Here is where you want to use your favorite device, one capable of seeing 2.4ghz networks. Android phone, Apple iPad, Chromebook, Windows or Mac Notebook that you decided not to install the printer software on. Any of these devices will work. Apple iOS devices required a bit of coddling, as Safari doesn't work well with the EWS Wireless Setup Wizard.
    Do you know your network SSID? What about the passphrase, passkey or whatever the security word is called?
    If you didn't set it up, and just started using it when the internet guy installed it, then there is probably a sticker on the router with that information. If you still can't find it, call your ISP, router manufacturer or favorite family member for help to find that information (If you use a family member, remember to buy them something nice on the next gift giving holiday in your region).
    *Apple iOS specific, device preparation:
    1. You will save yourself a lot of frustration by downloading the Chrome Browser for iOS now. Go ahead, I will wait...
    If you are installing Chrome for the first time, when it completes the install, open it, and get passed the greeting and tutorial before continuing.
    2. You need to forget your home network connection when you are done with step 1. Just hold down on your home network in the wireless networks list, and 'Forget' the connection (or find the arrow that leads to the same option). If you do not take this step, it will reconnect to the home network once you run the Wireless Setup Wizard, causing you to have to back track.
    3. Be aware, when you connect to your printer's network, that it may appear to not connect (ie. spinning wheel, no confirmation) to the printer. This is a known behavior. Just close the wireless settings, and proceed as normal.
    Begin The Journey
    Open up the wireless section of your device and look in the list of available networks and tell it to connect to the HP printer network. The SSID will usually start with HP, and may have the printer model or the word SETUP in the name. Once you are connected (see "Apple iOS specific, device preparation #3 if you are using iOS), it is time to open your browser, preferably the Chrome browser when at all possible. In the address bar type 192.168.223.1 and press go or hit enter. I use the colloquialism 'hit' when I just mean 'press' again, sorry for the redudancy.
    If all is well, you should see a web page that should refer to your printer. Now is the time to find the 'Wireless Setup Wizard' button. Most printers should have it here on the main page of the EWS. Just take your time, it may not be obvious at first. Once you press it, the setup process will begin. Follow the instructions. It should see a list of detected wireless networks, and you can select your home network. Then if it requires a password, it will prompt for you to enter it. At the end of the Wizard, it might say something about not being able to test it, or show a page cannot be displayed screen. This is OK. This means the printer is now talking to your router and not your device in your hand.
    Proof Of Concept
    You can now tell your device to scan and connect back to your normal home network. Once you connect, you can verify if you can see your printer. Keep in mind, with dual band routers, that the printers will typically only be visible on the 2.4GHZ network, so your device should also connect to that network as well for testing. Once connected, now we need to find out what IP Address the printer has. Remember the document I started with “Accessing the HP Embedded Web Server”. It now is relevant, and you can complete those instructions to make sure you can see your printer on the same network. If your device can enter the printers EWS with its new IP, then you have officially connected your printer to your network. Also your printers wireless light should be solid, indicating communication.
    If It Worked
    Now the fun begins. If you are setting up ePrint, and if there is no option to configure ePrint from the front panel, find the Web Services tab, and proceed with that process. If you are setting it up to a Chomebook, you still need to setup ePrint (if it is an ePrinter) before configuring Cloudprint... but that's another document.
    I hope I have not missed any small detail that pertains to your configuration that made this hard to follow. Any comments would be welcomed to improve this for future use.

    That printer also has a USB port why don't you connect it using that port?
    If you insist on using ethernet, Mac OS X can create two network connections at the same time. On the iMac you can configure one of the network connections to be wireless and the other to be wired using the ethernet port.
    Since you already have a wireless network configured and connecting to your AirPort Extreme for Internet access all you need to do is plug in an ethernet cable from your iMac directly to your printer and configure them to use self-assigned IP addresses. Self-assigned IP addresses take the form of 169.xxx.xxx.xxx and are used in this configuration to avoid any conflicts with your other network. You have to configure the iMac and the printer to each have a unique IP address in the self-assigned range, just make each of the last group of numbers in the IP address different, and then the iMac should be able to print to the printer.
    Note that when you configure the Imac and printer this way no other network devices will be able to print

  • How to post a XCelsius in the BPC Web Application Getting Started page

    Hi Experts,
    I'm new using BPC 7.5 on NetWeaver. When opening the Getting Started tab in the BPC Web Application there is a white page that I would want to fill with content. This content should be a XCelsius Dashboard linked to the Query or InfoCube on which I`m planning. Creating the XCelsius Dashboard is not the problem, but to insert it in the Getting Started panel of the BPC Web application. Has anyone an idea how to do it or how to proceed. Ideas or a little how-to would be perfect.
    Thanks very much in advanced,

    const string LIST_PAR_NAME = "lu";
    string listName = string.Empty;

    listName = this.Request.Params[LIST_PAR_NAME];
    else

  • There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of target web application and the source web application after migrating to claims

    I've had my farm upgraded from SP2010 to SP2013 for over 6 months now and all is well, however, I was refreshing my staging environment from production and I noticed that one of the databases still shows these errors when I run test-spcontentdatabase:
    Category             : Configuration
    Error             : False
    UpgradeBlocking : False
    Message           : The [SharePoint Web App] web application is configured with claims authentication mode however the content database you are trying to attach is intended to be used against
    a windows classic authentication mode.
    Remedy              : There is an inconsistency between the authentication mode of target web application and the source web application. Ensure that the authentication mode setting in upgraded web application is the
    same as what you had in previous SharePoint 2010 web application. Refer to the link "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=236865" for more information.
    This doesn't make sense considering I converted the production web application to claims during the upgrade and then verified all sites were working with claims logins. I also verified that existing AD user identities were converted to claims by checking out
    the database tables. Yet test-spcontentdatabase still thinks there is a mismatch here.
    My farm is SP1 and no further CUs. The point of this particular refresh is so I can update to the November CUs in my test farm. Anyone else see this? Seems like it's a bug/safe to ignore because my stuff is working.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

  • Why cannot I use hidden or display only item to store value for insert?

    hi, Gurus:
    I have a question:
    I implemented a form with report region in a page, the update works OK, but the add function has a problem:
    There is a column, offender_ID, which is a foreign key for another table, it should not be null during insert. However, even I pass the offender ID from master page when user click the create button, and it did shows in the form, it must be a text filed to insert successfully, why cannot I use hidden or display only item to store this value for insert? (If I use hidden or display only item, insert won't be successful, apex reports I tried to insert a null value to offender_ID column.)
    Many Thanks in advance.

Display Only items have a "Setting" of "Save Session State" Yes/No? That can be a problem.
    Would you do this? Make these items regular items instead and see if you can get those working. Then, we will try to change the fields back to hidden or display only.

  • How to disable u201Csticky sessionu201D for the particular web application?

    Hi All,
    Is there a possibility to disable so called u201Csticky sessionu201D for the particular web application? We have deployed a WAR file with the Axis 1.4 based web service into SAP NW 7.1. The web service works fine but when the client makes SOAP request the server creates a so-called u201Cstickyu201D HTTP session with the default (30 minutes) timeout. Such u201Csessionsu201D are created on each SOAP request from the same client. The maximum number for Java Web Sessions (SAP Management Console) is 1000. After a while the clients start getting the u201C503 Service not availableu201D errors:
    503 Service not available.
    Error: -6
    Version: 7010
    Component: ICM Java
    Date/Time: Tue Mar 03 14:30:12 2009
    Module: http_j2ee2.c
    Line: 1166
    Server: XXXXXXXXXXX
    Error Tag:
    Detail: server overload: no more sessions available
    The only way to improve the situation we found so far was to set session timeout to 1 minute. That u201Csticky sessionu201D will still be created, though.
    This is a testing environment and we do not use any hardware/software loadbalancer.
    Any help/advice is appreciated. (Please let me know if you need more information.)
    Thanks,
    Dmitry Vasilenko

    The practical workaround we finally come up with for this problem was to create a servlet filter and map it to the AxisServlet. The servlet filter will invalidate the HTTP session and effectively destroy the sticky session created by the server on each SOAP request.
    Here is the fragment from the web.xml
    <filter>
      <filter-name>StickySessionFilter</filter-name>
      <filter-class>com.xxxxx.xxxxx.xxxx.services.StickySessionFilter</filter-class>
    </filter>
    <filter-mapping>
      <filter-name> StickySessionFilter </filter-name>
      <servlet-name>AxisServlet</servlet-name>
    </filter-mapping>
    <servlet>
      <servlet-name>AxisServlet</servlet-name>
      <servlet-class>org.apache.axis.transport.http.AxisServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    The doFilter() method looks like this:
    public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response, FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException {
           try {
                  chain.doFilter(request, response);
           } finally {
                         javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest httpRequest = (javax.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest)request;
                         javax.servlet.http.HttpSession session = httpRequest.getSession();
                         session.invalidate();
    Thanks,

  • Using JavaFx in Web application

    I want to use JavaFx in Web Application which consists of JSP or Servlet. How can I use it ?

    CRatan, this is a very obscure (but valid) question.
    Where does JavaFX fit into Web Applications?????
    Well, normally you use a html 'view' that is generated from jsp. Depending on how you use servlets (and lets face it a servlet can provide almost anything you can dream of providing the request/response is delivered over http(s)) you might typically be providing service to that html page derive's it's content from. JavaFX is a 'view' that is not html. It sure can use http request and fetch data from a servlet and provide a UI outside the browser container (you can lanch it... applet, mobile, or desktop).
    In the coming days/months/years I would expect to see http request/session EE JavaFX client side support be introduced or documented more so than what it is now (so that JavaFX client applications can maintain stateful https sessions between itself and server) much like a browser does. There is DEFINITELY java support for this already (see HTTPClient) but this is something you need to learn yourself. You could also step outside the square by NOT using http (but firewalls do often suck).
    I hoped I helped - I try but I don't charge.

    Maybe you can try to programmatically restart the server every 2 days. Within LabVIEW you would do this by running "HTTP Server Control.vi". Unfortunatly all connections will be closed, thus be aware of that!

  • Connect to SharePoint web service using the XML / Web Service connector

    Hi experts,
    I am currently trying to display my SharePoint list in Crystal Report. Therefore my plan is to use a SharePoint web service to get the data and paste them to the Crystal Report.
    Is it possible to use the "XML and Web services" connector of the Crystal Reports database expert?
    When I enter the web service URL, for instance:
    https://[url]/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?wsdl
    and click next... I have to enter the web service credentials.
    On the next page I have to enter Service, Port and Method.
    Do I have to enter the service URL again here?
    What If, there is no port? Can I leave that field empty?
    I know the methods, but where can I add the mandatory parameters?
    Thanks for any helps and comments!

    Hi Ananth,
    thank you, but this document does not help at all.
    We are using Crystal Reports 2008 SP2.
    We want to use the Web Service Connector.
    What I need is more informationen about the Web service connect. For example - the connection in Microsoft InfoPath is much easier - there I don't have to enter a port and can choose the methods from a list.
    Is it possible to use the Crystal web service connector for MS SharePoint Webservices?
    Or must I use the Crystal SDK to carry out a connection?
