Why Cant get my Organizer to open on Photoshop elements 12 on my mac OS 10.6.8
Why Cant get my Organizer to open on Photoshop elements 12 on my mac OS 10.6.8
Pse 12 isn't officially supported on mac os x 10.6.8, but your able to install it.
Mac os x doesn't have some of the updated/newer os features that the pse 12 organizer requires but the editor part seems to work fine.
Also, camera raw 8.3 is the last camera raw version that will work on os x 10.6.8 and newer versions of camera raw or the dng converter won't be compatible accoording to what adobe has said so far.
more info in this post:
http://barbarabrundage.com/2013/10/08/pse-12-and-older-operating-systems/
If your os x 10.6.8/computer is able to upgrade to mavericks os x 10.9, then you'll be able to use the pse 12 organizer, but if you have any programs that require rosetta to run you won't
be able to use them any longer, because after snow leopard macs can't use rosetta

Any ideas?
I would try resetting the photoshop elements 6 preferences and see if that makes a difference.
reset preferences
Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys down just after starting the launch of the photoshop elements 6 editor
Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements settings file
Press Yes
Are these files ones you made in photosghop cc? -
I have the error message "Not enough storage. Cannot backup, not enough backup space in ICloud . . . ", but now the "close" and "settings" buttons don't respond and I cant get the IPad to open so I can go change settings. What do I do?
For a "hard" restart of your iPad just press the home and power button at the same time and hold it for at least 10-15 sec. until it restarts.

I have just transferred elements 11 to a new windows 7 64 bit computer using the original purchased disc. Organiser is working fine and all my photos are there, but I cant get the Editor to open. It just says editor workspace is loading and then it eventually gives up.
Try opening directly from your desktop, by passing the welcome screen.
Go to Windows Explorer>C drive>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Photoshop elements 11. Right click, then Send to>Desktop
Double click on the shortcut and see it will open. -

when i try to open adobe photoshop cs6 on my mac an error 16 pops up. can anynone tell me the solution??plz
When it happened to me, it turned out that my permissions to the Application Support folder was unintentionally changed during an update, causing the problem.
A Terminal command fixed it. Copy and paste into Terminal. You need to be allowed to administer this computer from your account.
If you are asked to enter a password, enter it blindly, because usually there are no dots and cursor movement when you do.
sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe -
Why cant DW CS5.5 show html5's new elements in the wysiwyg design view?
Why cant DW CS5.5 show html5's new elements in the wysiwyg design view?
I created a <section> and an <aside> in code view, and styled those elements in my CSS, but it doesnt show anything in design view!
why not?
Its annoying.
CS5.5 is Adobe's spring 2011 release.
Why is it not up to speed??
Isnt html5 very 2009-2010ish?
Is there an add-on i can install?
thanks.Well we are all "getting up to speed" with HTML5 because, as it stands, it is still not a standard.
As to styling in CS4 vs CS5.5, Dreamweaver is an engine that assists in making good HTML code. It's agnostic. If you don't close your tags properly in CS 5.5 and then open the same document in CS4, it will notice that you did not close your tags properly.
Adobe makes plugins that will allow CS4 to do code hinting properly with HTML5 selectors and CSS3, assuming the document is peroperly defined as an HTML5 document.
Here is the beginning of one of my most recent HTML5 documents:
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title>Page Title Goes Here</title>
<link href="css/normal.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all">
<link href="css/navigation.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all">
<!-- include CSS before the Shiv -->
<!--[if lt IE 9]>
<script src="//html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script>
<![endif]-->

Organizer won't open in Photoshop Elements 10. Says it is in use by another program.
Organizer won't open in Photoshop Elements 10. Says it is in use by another program.
This just started happening.... When I open Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 in Windows 7 and click on Organizer to open my catalog, I get a message that reads, " The catalog could not be opened because it is currently in use by another program." I know of no other program. I do backup my pictures with a Seagate backup external drive. How can I resolve this so I can work with my pictures again. Could this have anything to do with Adobe's switch to Adobe Revel?Have you tried restarting the computer?

Having installed an upgrade for Photoshop Elements 13, I cannot open the application. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X".
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

I recently did a system update and installed Yosemite on my Mac. Now I am unable to open CS5 at all. The error message I get is this: "To open Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, you need to install legacy Java SE 6 runtime." I have tried downloading this and it still gives me the same mess
In the details it is mentioned that it is an outdated version of Java.
Is this a security risk that i need to live with to get CS5 to run with Yosemite?
Also i need to reject messages from Java in the future about updates, or not?
thx for any input -
I cannot open my photoshop elements 10. I get an error 400.
I cannot open my photoshop elements 10 to edit pictures. I get a message saying that it cannot connect, error 400. I was using it last week no problem than I shut down my computer & tried to open photoshop the next day & the program wouldn't open. I've heard that this is the result of photoshop.com no longer existing. What can I do about this? There has to be a way that I can still edit my pictures. I've tried opening some .psd docs but they won't open. I tried chatting with adobe tech support & they said that they cannot help me because this is an older PSE program. Anyone know any way around this? Mahalo nui loa!
On a side note: I can't figure out how to respond when someone comments on my forum questions. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I'm obviously not very tech savvy.I responded in your other thread. To reply to a post click the Reply button at its lower right to open up a place where you can type:

Opening my Photoshop Elements 12
When I try to open my photoshop elements 12 I get a small split screen. One side shows "the organizer" and the other side shows "photo editor" and nothing else happens. coley Q
Hi,
Is this the sort of screen you get?
If so, that is known as the Welcome screen. You click on the Organizer or the Photo Editor buttons.
If you want, you can change the settings (using the little gear wheel top right) to skip the Welcome screen and go to your required application.
Sorry if you knew that.
