Why Cant I acces the iTunes Store?

I have an iTunes account, downloaded the latest version but i cant access the iTunes store. I even ran the diagnostics checking for the network connection and results were ok, but all i get when i try to open the iTunes store is and error message "Cannot connect make sure network connection is active and try again" My internet connection is ok but i still cant access. I need help please

I have the exact same problem.
k - here goes...running...
Windows Vista Home Premium
NO anti-virus software
NO firewall
NO Mcafee or other internet filter through ISP
Comcast HS Internet
iTunes 6.7.2.9
Checked HOST file, its fine.
Reset the modem like one post said might be the problem,
Started in only basic processes to ensure no conflicting APP processes (another post said this might help)
Re-Installed iTunes, and tried to just Repair missing and corrupt files.

ACTUALLY NOW THAT I FULLY READ THROUGH THE RESULTS I SEE THAT I MISSED SOMETHING, IT SAYS IM NOT USING A MODEM WHEN IN FACT IM USING TWO, VOIP PHONE AND CABLE!
