Why cant i delete messages in my apple mailbox
I delete the messages and they don't go to the trash.
The messages just stay in the inbox and won't delete.
With the message open or highlighted, are you using the delete button in the toolbar?
Or, you can just highlight the message and drag it manually over to the trashcan in the sidebar.

My kids have verizon phones as I do. I was looking on my bill for a specific text message I sent them but cant see any of my texts at all to them. Why?
If the messages are sent as iMessages, they are sent via the data plan and not the text message system. The iMessages log won't be included in the text message logs on your bill and usage on the MyVerizon account online.

The greyed out send button means the person you are sending to is not recognized as an ios5 user that has turned on his i message.

Can't "See" or delete messages in the Sent Mailbox in Safari Mail
This message for a handicapped friend of mine.
Can't see any messages and so can't delete any in the Sent mailbox. All other mailboxes have messages you can see. Suspect that mailbox is overloaded with Sent pictures. Message above the viewer window (in small font) reads 3323 messages updating color for message 3323 of 3323. Running system 10.2.8 on an iMac (pwr PC G4). There is plenty of hard drive space but only 256 MB of memory. Is there anyway to force the mailbox to empty or is there a file in the library somewhere that I can delete to cause it to happen?

Why cant i delete text messages
I used to be able to delete these, but now when I hit the edit button, the red - sign shows up in front of each text message, but when I select a specific one to edit, the delete button shows up and goes away very quickly, not allowing me to delete these messages. VEry maddening.
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
