Why cant I download Mountain Lion from the app store??? the message pops up telling me to agree to the new terms and conditions, and I do so, then it pops back up... im just going in a little circle with no end... help??

I click "buy now" and this pops up
Then I press "ok".. Click the check box... then "agree"... and back to the top image... and thats it, over and over again... ***?

It seems to be some kind of wide-spread problem since discussions are appearing in the Mac App Store forum. I already contacted the Mac App Store support page located here:

If you go to System Preferences > Network do you see other networks listed on the left panel? Is the lock in the lower left corner closed? If not, highlight your network, then close the lock so you block other networks.

Unable to download Mountain Lion from the App store

Hi, when I try to download Mountain Lion from the app store I get the message, " The product distribution file could not be verified ... " Obviously I'm doing something really stupid. Advice welcome!

A belated thanks for your help. I'd never have solved it otherwise. Maybe Apple could change the automatic reply that I got initially ("The product distribution file could not be verified ....") othewise they risk loosing customers.

If you mean the DL appears to be stalled give it about half an hour, if there's no movement restart and the DL should pick up from where it left off.

I keep getting "hash mismatch" when trying to download Mountain Lion from the App store

I've been trying to download the new Mountain Lion from the App Store & keep getting "hash mismatch" message. I was able to download on my 1 computer, but no luck on the 2nd computer, which is up-to-date on all updates & software. Support even put a fresh copy of the App in my account & I still get that same message. Someone suggested AppCleaner, but how do you delete the OS to re-install the new. Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
        the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.

I am currently running snow leopard 10.6.8. I have updated all of my software, run time machine, and backblaze. I have purchased Mountain Lion through the App Store, but have tried to download it three times without success. I get a pop up window about 3/4 of the way through the download that says "download failed" , check our internet connection. I have checked it in the Systems Preferneces and I have green buttons on both the ethernet and wireless connections.
Any suggestions for how I can successfully download and install Mountain Lion?

If you want to reinstall the original Mac OS X version that came with your computer, you need the Mac OS X DVD that came with the computer.
If you want to reinstall Mountain Lion, the installer creates a recovery partition to reinstall OS X and do some maintenance tasks. You can access to it pressing Command and R keys while your Mac is starting
