when i try to register my ipad mini, it says already reagistered with another apple id but its not, can anyone help?

Did you buy it used? Are you sure you are using the correct number?

When I try to register my iPad mini with the Apple Support in my profile page, it says that my serial number is already registered to another Apple ID, and to check to see if I've got any other IDs. I ordered this directly from Apple when it was released, and it had never been opened. I contacted Apple, and their records show that it's registered to me. I tried. They said their records showed that the iPad was registered to my Apple ID. They had no explanation why my serial number couldn't be registered. Felt I was getting the run around so I thought I'd toss it out to the community.

Personally I'd continue to backup to your mac, I see iCloud backup as a means to backup for those that don't have a mac/PC or are otherwise regularly away from it.

It's quite common for the 'old' model to be discounted after a new one is released.
If I recall correctly a similar thing happened to the full sized iPad 2 and 3 and 4 when their new models were released.
If you're a retailer and have a warehouse of 'old' models you would want to get those out to make room for the new ones. Same thing happens with computers and tv's and cameras, even cars.

im having the same problem with you. I bought my ipad mini last month as soon as i open it my son use it a bit and then when its time to charge it wont charge to 100% stops at between 85-90%, i have to unplug then plug the adapter to charge it to full its very annoying, my friend bought one yesterday and guess what LOL same charging issues, my sister's friend bought 2 yesterday and guess what same charging issue. My friend bought the 12w charger and it works from 1-100% no issues. The question is why should we buy 12w charger when our charger is still under warranty apple please RECALL all these 5w CHARGER, you know that there is something wrong with your 5w charger but why ship it, it will cause you double now to recall everything. As you can see 70% of the time all IPAD MINI charger dont have enough JUICe to charge from 1-100% without recycling the AC power. If you just bought your ipad mini say like 1 day ago and experience this issue go and take back your ipad mini and better yet tell them replace the adaptor with a 12w one.

Itunes cant find my new ipad mini.

I just got a new ipad mini and i followed the setup to the letter but when i connect it to my laptop itunes doesnt recognize it. Ive looked at hours of youtube videos and searched through dozens of google pages and still i cant seem to figure out how to make my itunes recognize my ipad mini. Can anyone help me please?

Why wasn't the new iPad Mini called the iPad Mini 2 ?

The title given to it "iPad Mini Retina Display" is hardly a snappy title, especially when compared to the other iPads.
Could it be that this is not a major new version but an interim model ( a bit like Windows Vista was an interim until Microsoft were ready to launch Windows 8 ), to try and stem the drift away from Apple to Android this Christmas, until Apple are ready to introduce the real iPad Mini 2 model next year ?

The iPad mini with Retina Display also has the new A7 CPU, significantly improved GPU, the M7 Motion Coprocessor, probably more RAM (though that's not yet confirmed), and options for larger storage along with a few other new features. So it would by most measures qualify to be called an 'iPad mini 2", though Apple chose not to. They didn't designate the 3rd gen iPad and 4th-gen iPad as "iPad 3" or "iPad 4", either. Unable to register my ipad mini

Hello. We picked up an ipad mini for our daughter today and under my support profile it shows the new ipad mini. We received another ipad mini for Christmas and it was brand new, in a box etc. I noticed it wasn't there under my support profile. When I go to add it to my support profile with the serial number which I am copying and pasting out of settings it says it is registered to another Apple ID. Yet this ipad id is in fact used with my only Apple ID and it was never setup with another one. I have ever only had one Apple ID. How can this be fixed. It won't let me change this.

If you are getting no response at all when you connect to the PC, it might be the cable or the USB port. You can rule out the cable if you try charging with the supplied power adapter and.ug into a wall socket which you should always do anyway.
If you test the cable and it's OK, the. It could be the port on the PC. Try another USB port or connect another device to that USB to rule it out as the problem.
If that all checks out, look here for help.

If you are trying to update via wifi, try connecting to your computer/iTunes and update. Make sure you backup befor updating.

Why no panorama on the ipad mini?

I must say I was very shocked & disapointed to find that the new ipad mini did not have the panorama option available on it's camera. I think that feature, new to ios6, is really cool. Panorama works on iphone 4S and the new itouch ipods but not on the new ipads. WHY?

Although I don't have an iPad mini, I tested on my iPad with Retina display and it worked fine, and I have done multiple Panoramas with it on my iPhone.

Return the iPad if you feel it is not made well enough. Note though that accidental damage is usually not covered by the warranty, iPads, in my experience, do not warp on their own.
