Why cant I save a cs4 file as cs5 in adobe flash cs5
When ever I try to save a cs4 file as CS5 the adobe flash cs5 will stop responding for no reasons
also, some times and only for some files when I save the cs4 file as uncompressed cs5 and then save that uncompressed cs5 to normal cs5 the conversion works and some times not.
ofcourse any of the cs5 files cannot be saved as cs3 or cs2 for no reasons..
p/s: microsoft office can be saved to any previous versions.. adobe should learn something from them..

The text itself may be universal but the end-of-line characters are not. TextEdit on the Mac uses a line feed character (LF = 0x0A) as it's end of line character... the standard on Unix systems. Windows uses a combination of both a carriage return and a line feed (CRLF = 0x0D0A). It's the lack of the carriage returns that's causing the Windows machine to treat your text file as a single line. (Note that pre-OS X Mac apps used just a carriage return (CR = 0x0D) as their end-of-line character... so there are actually three variations you might run across).
Some editors can deal with all three types of end of line characters and will also let you convert a file from one type to another. I'm not sure if TextEdit can do this. I believe the editor built into Xcode can though and probably BBEdit or TextWrangler. I'm sure there are probably some Windows editors that will also deal with different line endings.

I have a PSD file I cant "save as" a jpg, I alsi get nothing when I print it and save for web and devices is greyed out...
Could it be you're using 32 bits/channel?
If so, down convert to 16 bits/channel, then you should be able to print and save as a JPEG.

Ronda, Thanks again for your support. However, I would like to mention that doing it your way there is a particular issue. I have now realized it saves the document in question with the same file name, as the last document saved on that particular day, and not in the file name as you received te document!
This has a major implication, because you will not be able to quickly locate the document if you need it. The strange thing than is, you will discover the same document being listed in your "home account" Mac username folder in the file name as you receive it. I save all my documents that I donwload, into my download folder, and not into any other folder!
Do avoid this, one needs to specifically change / rename the document as one want it to be. But this greatly slows the speed of processing considering that few similar documents everyday!
Do you know a way to speed this process of saving PDF files, and only into one particular folder? -

I have developed a video player in adobe flash cs4 and used all vector arts but when I open this fla file in Adobe Flash CS5 and published it, the swf file size more then fla file.

Adobe Flash CS5 (Same file when open in CS5 and published)

I'm not knowledgeable with chmod under Linux, let's say if we give it full accessibility, what will be the result?
Anyway if you can see the image from file system, that already means the upload is succeed, I think you may need get some suggestion from php side to see how can we save the image with a correct permission.

It is difficult to know why because we don't know what version is your PSE and what is your operating system.
That aside, if your camera is fairly new then first try to update your software by going to:
Help >> Updates
If this doesn't solve then it may be that your camera is not supported by your PSE (mainly 10 and before) and so you may need to use DNG conversion utility. The latest version is 8.1 but unpaid MVPs here will tell you more about it.

Adobe CS4 Creative Suite Web Edition and Flash CS5 Crashing Problems
Hi, just a simple question;
I have a Windows XP Pro x64 & x86 Machine which both have Adobe Creative Suite CS4 and Adobe Flash CS5 installed onto.
The problem i have is that when i install Flash CS5 onto the machine which already has Adobe Creative Suite CS4 is breaks basically, Flash CS5 keeps crashing, even if just creating something simple like a box with colour in it.
I have installed every update available for both products and this still does not rectify the problem. Ive read numerous articles about fonts, hotfixes, updates etc etc etc.
None of the forums has an asnwer to this. I would post an error report but as the machines crash im unable to gather this information.
This is a big problem for us as we use this in industry and we need to resolve this asap, no point paying for products if they cant work together, my theory is something to do with shared libraries which both products use, i could be wrong, but this is what im left to think is wrong.
Has anyone else had this same problem, if so, whats the answer to rectify this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for the lack of information provided, i would post more but cant gather extra information whats causing this.I'm using CS3/CS4/CS5 and a standalone After effects CS5.5 here side by side without issues - on Vista 64. Can't tell you much specific about Flash, though, since I use it too rarely. Bridge may have a temper, but most of these "issues" relate to Mini-Bridge in Photoshop CS5, which nobody forces you to use and people being unhappy with thinbgs like contact sheets or PDF catalogs having moved to Bridge ratehr than still being PS scripts. So from where I stand, these are non-issues. Of course you'll have to live with the fact that things like browsing in Bridge or editing originals are always wired in such a way as to use the latest version of a suite, which might cause compatibility issues when e.g. trying to invoke Bridge in CS4 to browse something, which will then launch Bridge CS5. None of this is unresolvable, though, and mostly requires editing Bridge prefs and your system's fiel association handling... With regards to your otehr issues, I realyl recommend you give Process Explorer a spin. if this happens even on fresh system installs, the most likely cause is some missing DLL, which you also can only find out this way. A blindfire approach to this problem would be to simply install any .NET and MSVC runtime you can get a hold of and similar stuff, but this might only add unnecessary files and still miss the one that you would need...

It sounds like your downloaded archive file the big is eithe corrupt or not where it should be. That file is a 7Zip file which can be extracted with 7zip. If the downloaded file is bad delete it and download it again Download CS5 products
