Why cant i see replies in my text messages?

Im texting my friend over my iPod gen 4 to his iPhone 5 and i have 3 problems occur.
1. the message never fully sends. the sending bar is almost there, but never finishes.
2. If the sending does finish, my messages wont 'deliver'
3. If my messages deliver, i cannot see his reply.
This is really angering me. the first two have been happening for over a year and I've tried literally everything. My internet modem is maybe... what? 6 yards away from me? and it says my wifi is fully powered. I have 3 wifi connections in my house and all of them are working great, all 3 bars of wifi, but my messages still. wont. send. Please only legit answers. no "just get an iPhone" because some people can't affored iPhones, okay? I cant text him over my phone because his phone deactivates at 10 every night. im stuck. and I'm not happy. Someone please help me. Im begging you.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

That is why. If you take the time to go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive. Then uncheck everything but the phone number for each particular device, you should be alright after that.

First close the Photos app, then remove it from the multi-tasking bar: double tap the Home button, tap & hold the Photos app until it starts to wiggle, tap the red minus sign. Tap Home button when finished.
Then, reset your phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Whats happened then is iTUnes basicly "Copied" its empty library file onto the iPod. When you connect the iPod to iTUnes it copys music over AND the library/database iTUnes has. Id say the music is there, but the iPOd Library hhas no "Link" or "Direction" to ponit to these files so it shows nothing.
The only option you have now is using yamipod http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/ and seeing if it can recover these songs for you off the ipod. Read the "docs" on yamipods home page here to learn how to use it and what feature you need to use to recover off the iPod (Like Find lost music and repair iPOd) http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/docs/
If it can not recover songs off the iPod, and you have no backups made, your going to be VERY limited in your options. you will have to "Re" import all your CDs. All songs you bought online you will have to email apple and see if they will offer a "Re" download of them. If you don't want to try anything that involved, you can just try uninstalling the security software on your computer and then testing again. I make film collage and want to do multiple layer exposures of different clips.

FCE plays back video tracks in a "top-down" manner: that is what's on track 3 obscures what's on track 2 which obscures what's on track 1. You can control scale, position and opacity of each clip on each track so that you can get the layering you seem to be after.

Downloaded iSO 7.0.2 and now I'm not receiving replies to my text messages. I've tested it with someone standing next to me, their phone shows their reply sent and my phone gets nothing. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks in advance

Try the following:
Go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > disable
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
let it do it's thing and reset.
Then go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > enable
You'll then have to go back to your Wifi and re-enter your router credentials.

I know a lot of people with iphone 5 and have never heard them complain about top button always brake and screen that decides to pop off or the back of their case is bending.
That sounds like a phone that has been dropped a numerous times.
