Why cant I see the blue guide lines of my paths when I hover my mouse over them?

I'm using illustrator CC(2014) and all of a sudden I cant see the thin blue lines that show me where my paths and anchor point are.
Below is a picture of the blue lines I am talking about. They don't appear when my mouse hovers over them, but does if I select them.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 OS, and I want to know how to disable the small window that appears when I hover my mouse over a tab, bookmark, etc.

Okay, so when I'm using Firefox, say I have multiple window open, I hover my mouse over a window's panel at the bottom of the screen and a small box appears telling me about the webpage on that panel. The same thing occurs when I hover over a tab or a bookmark, it's very annoying and frequently blocks my cursor when I'm trying to work. How can I disable this feature?

I do not use Adobe Reader, but use Foxit Reader in its place, and had the same problem. In Foxit Reader, I right-clicked in the area at the top where you would expect the toolbar to be (it was a blank area immediately above the displayed PDF file), and chose which toolbars to display and that has "stuck" and I still see the Foxit toolbars when I load a PDF file after system shutdown overnight. The only problem is that the area where you would expect the toolbars is still there and blank, but the toolbars that I selected appear immediately below that blank area. See if that works in Adobe Reader for you.

Why cant I see the video frames in the timeline view?

When creating a new video editing project, I cant see the movie frames in the timeline view. I'm not sure why, but I've been pulling my hair out trying to see what I looks like in the tutorial. Even if I have multiple scenes added, they don't appear in the timeline as video 1,2,3, etc(stacked vertically). I'm unable to utilize the editing functions of timeline without having the movies clips broken down into individual frames. Please help me understand what Im doing wrong!!

Thanks for the reply. The Toggle display does stretch out the clips but doesnt still won't show frames. This is all I can see in the timeline view.
I'm using quicktime movies. I notice on the help images the movie files are AVI. could that be the issue?

Why cant i see the opc servers on the computer where labview is running?

i have 2 Computers in a network. On both computers is installed the NAPopc Server. On the computer where Labview is running, i can not
see the OPC Server wenn i go to ->my computer->new I/O Server-> OPC Client. The box of registered OPC servers is empty.
When i choose the network connection, i can see the OPC Server on my other computer.
Can somebody tell me why? I want to use only on computer for my project...

Hi Daniel,
in your post you're saying that you have the "NAPopc-Server" installed. Did you mean the NI-OPC-Server? As you can see in the screenshot attached you should be able to see any registered OPC server that is registered properly, no matter if it's installed on your local host or elsewhere.
You mentioned that you can see the OPC server on the other computer, so you should be able to see the OPC-server on that machine when you choose the settings-tab and select "localhost" as machine. Is that right?

How do I disable the webpage preview that pops up when I hover my mouse over a tab?

I don't know why this started today, but it is driving me nuts!
I was surfing the net, when all of a sudden I noticed that whenever I hovered my mouse over one of my tabs, a (poorly rendered) preview of the webpage popped up from my mouse. I really do not need this feature. I don't need to have a mini-webpage preview of another tab.
Please, how do I disable this feature?
*note: I have disabled all my add-ons, and still nothing. I disabled my hardware acceleration, and still nothing. Please!

I cannot sign in to some websites because Firefox is not responing when I hover my mouse over the Sign In button...some other buttons are not activated either when moving my mouse over it. That prevents me to surf on the Internet.

I downloaded lates Firefox and it sometimes does not activate links and buttons...

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

ok here goes
I have a new 5th gen ipod. For some reason in the ipod prefs in itunes I dont have any options to add video or photos the only options that I get are for music and podcasts.
I have reinstaled itunes 6.0.1 (3) about 4 times each time cleaning every file of the mac that has anthing to do with itunes.
Even though my ipod shows in my desktop and itunes list and in the system profiler under usb 2.0 I still cant seem to reformat the new ipod. When I use the restore option when I load the ipod updater it says to plug it in. Yet its clearly there.
I have also deleted the ipoddriver.kxt file as well

I had my iphone 4 factory unlocked, why cant i see the apn settings.

I have a Iphone 4 iOS 6 AT&T that was factory unlocked.
Went thru the whole process itunes confirmed it was unlocked
When I went to put my APN Information that option is not available
If I go thru a 3rd party APN installer I get the internet but no MMS.
I did the Iphone configurator with no success
I'm running on a AT&T network, but with NET10 Provider

Apple does not give any official method to set MMS Settings even with the ICU Program. You can use the "Sim Swap" method to set MMS Settings but apart from that there is no way (Unless you want to jailbreak the iPhone which most people don't want to do)

After updating to 9.0.1, the drop-down Bookmarks list "freezes" open when I hover with mouse on any entry. Have to start over if I land on the wrong bookmark (I have imac w OSX 10.5.8)

To clarify, I'm talking about the toolbar at the very top of the screen (After the Apple icon, it's File, Edit View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Window and Help) If I move the mouse to the "Bookmarks" choice I get the same drop down menu as before, i.e., "Show all bookmarks", Bookmark this page, etc.
What's different is that if I hover the mouse on a bookmark folder that has more than one entry, that folder comes to the front and stays there. I have to move the mouse back to the top of the page to "unfreeze" so I can choose another bookmark. It never worked this way before, and I didn't make any other changes except updating to 9.0.1.
Any ideas?

I did read through the links you supplied. In the first link there is a giant list of all the files the archive function backs up. It backs up a lot, but not quite everything. If it backed up everything, they could just say "everything".
The directory I'm concerned with is the /Applications one. It seems the only things backed up in this directory are specific Apple apps, for exapmple:
/Applications/Chess.app
/Applications/Clock.app
/Applications/DVD Player.app
/Applications/Extras/BlastApp.app
I have many many GB worth of other apps I'd love to be able to load back up, rather than spend hours re-installing them.
But I will try to use the Archive and Install feature though, once I have safely backed up my files. I found this on the Apple site also:
Archive and Install installations require the largest amount of available disk space because you need to have room to preserve your existing System and the new one you are installing
On my 250GB HD, my installation uses 200GB, and I only have about 40GB free. Will Archive and Install be able to work with this little space?

Immediately on upgrading to 8, portions of my screen "black out" as I move my mouse over them. Links in particular are blacked out (that is to say the block of screen that the link is part of) when I move my mouse over them.

Also, scrolling functionality isn't working; when I try to scroll most of the time it is unresponsive and whether or not it responds to the scrolling the Entire page (everything below the tabs to the taskbar) has a better than even chance of blacking out. Tinkering with moving my mouse pointer or clicking in random places will get rid of these.
I've restarted the browser in Safe Mode, Reinstalled, Restarted computer, Drivers were updated incidentally on Friday (before this started), Full virus scan on Thursday morning. When I restart Firefox in Safe Mode the problems aren't as bad by an order of magnitude, but still bad enough to be unusable.
Firefox is essentially unusable for me at this point. Since I can't downgrade to 7, I'm very close to just washing my hands and switching to Chrome (which I dislike).

In Firefox 4 and later [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode Safe mode] disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Looks to me like you installed a software wich tries to pull you to a certain website.
If you click on one of the words, is it always opening the same website (for example Google, Yahho, Ask.com etc)?
Sometimes you have installed a toolbar/extension in you're webbrowser when donwloading something else.
What browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome etc.) do you use?
Can be that you just need to delete this extension and everything should be fine.

Whats happened then is iTUnes basicly "Copied" its empty library file onto the iPod. When you connect the iPod to iTUnes it copys music over AND the library/database iTUnes has. Id say the music is there, but the iPOd Library hhas no "Link" or "Direction" to ponit to these files so it shows nothing.
The only option you have now is using yamipod http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/ and seeing if it can recover these songs for you off the ipod. Read the "docs" on yamipods home page here to learn how to use it and what feature you need to use to recover off the iPod (Like Find lost music and repair iPOd) http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/docs/
If it can not recover songs off the iPod, and you have no backups made, your going to be VERY limited in your options. you will have to "Re" import all your CDs. All songs you bought online you will have to email apple and see if they will offer a "Re" download of them. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Why cant i see my photos that i have on my phone on the computer? For some reason, since i moved my itunes to an external hard drive, all sorts of issues keep happening. I cant see any of my photos when just plugging into a computer not with my itunes. It ays apple, etc, but 0 pictures show. Help?

First close the Photos app, then remove it from the multi-tasking bar: double tap the Home button, tap & hold the Photos app until it starts to wiggle, tap the red minus sign. Tap Home button when finished.
Then, reset your phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
