Why cant i sign into my account

For ages now When ever I open the app store on my imac I can't update any apps nor can i sign in. I obviously did work at one point becasue I bought a couple of little apps but now I cant do a thing. When clicking to sign in or update something my cursor thinks for about 3 seconds and then stops...nothing happens.
I've downloaded new versions of 'app store' but still the same problem. Must think I havent signed in therefore wont let me do anything. Can anybody help.....PLEASE!!!

Might be a cache issue.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
~ (Tilde) character represents your Home folder
Restart your Mac.
If you are running Lion > To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library

Some times a disk permisions run will fix this. If the account that you can log onto is an admin you can go to Utilities -> disk utility. Select your disk on the left. Normally named Macintosh HD. click on the first aid tab and then run disk permisions repair.

If you're trying to sign in on icloud.com you can only do that froma a computer.

Why cant i sign into icloud from my laptop?

I have an acer netbook. When i first got icloud on it it worked great. For a couple weeks, maybe more i have not been able to sign into icloud from my laptop.
It says,"You can't sign in because of a server error." Then it says "icloud status" and you can click on it. I end up here http://help.apple.com/icloud/
I am logged into icloud on my phone. But cannot get into it on my laptop.
Anybody know a fix for this?

I have an Ipod touch 4 I cant get facetime to work on it.
I just bought it a couple weeks ago, and havent been able to sign in to face time at all
The unit let me sign in my user ID and pass word, but on the next page it say "verifying", and then goes back to the sign in page.

I just asked the same thing and did some research. Some people have said that the UDID code is like banned from instagram, but your account isn't. I'm able to use it on my phone but not on my iPod.

Open up iTunes. Go to Store. Go to Account and sign in. Click on Purchase History. Find your purchase record.

The wrong apple ID pops up on my new iPod touch 5th gen. It is asking me to sign into an account that has my friend's email address. She has never even touched this iPod. Why is this happening?

My son got a 5th gen iPod touch today. We have an established Apple ID from my iPhone and we are able to log into it just fine on the new iPod. After a few hours of use, the iPod started asking him to log into an Apple ID account that he doesn't recognize. It appears to be a gmail address of a friend of mine who has never used any of my Apple products. What is going on and how do I stop it? We have to keep hitting 'cancel' every time it comes up. Sounds like apps purchased from those accounts got synced to the iPod and it is asking to log into that account to update them.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
What do yo see if yo go to the Updates Section of the App Store app?
