Why cant i Sync rented films to my iTouch 2nd Gen?

Hey, i have an Orange contract, so i have got myself the Orange Free Thursday Film thing. downloaded the first to my iTouch fine, but not watched it yet, got yestardays via the PC, tired to move it to my iTouch to watch it at home on the 2nd Gen Apple TV, it keeps saying "The Ghost" was not copied to the iPod "Tigger" because it cannot be played on this iPod.
Any hints/tips or fixes for this, running latest iTunes and iTouch software. it has 2+ Gb of free space, but still wont let me move the film.

Make sure you are logged in as the admin on the laptop, not another user account.

What you do mean a lock icon?
On the whole screen or just in the status bar where it shows "iPod" and Time/Battery?
If the icon's there everything's ok. The feature was removed in iOS 6, anyways, the icon should be only in the lock screen.

That is likely beause the developer deceided to drop suport for the 2G iPod, not an Apple decision.

It's not Apple's fault that you can't have iOS 7 for your device.
It is simply the fault of your device - the hardware won't do it.
You should be glad that you just got iOS 6.1.5.

I can't sync a t.v. show to my itouch 2nd gen

Hi,
I recently purchased a bunch of episodes from a show I like on iTunes and realized they were in HD. I saw that it also came with SD so it could be compatible with my iTouch only now my iTouch refuses to download it at all and I can't seem to find an option to download/sync the show into my iTouch using the SD version of the episodes. I can't even find the SD versions at all and I went to the previous purchase re-download tab and it already said that the SD version was already dowloaded. I am currently re-downloading all of the episodes.
I've done my research online and I can't seem to find a straight forward answer. Is there anyone out there who can help me sort out this problem? How do I download it?
My iTouch is 2nd generation, runs 4.2.1 (8C148), model MB531LL and has ample free space.
Is there anyone who can PLEASE help me?

Itunes says "syncing" but ipod does not. 2nd gen nano

My wife has a 2nd gen nano that will not sync. Itunes says "syncing" but ipod does not, you can scroll through the menus and use it like it was not connected. When I first connect it, the do not disconnect sign appears then after a few seconds the main menu. She has used it for 2 years and it worked fine until today.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?

"Cant allocate memory" in safari error, iPod Touch 2nd gen

I get "Cant allocate memory" in safari and I cant check my mail, it sayes that the server is not responding. I tried reebooting twice already, reconecting to my wireless network, reseting network settings in general settings and reseting my router, I dont know what else to do.
My iTunes version is the latest and my iPod version is 4.2.1
Can someone help me before I have to restore my iPod

That answer is where the problem comes in....
They are NOT AUDIO books, they are just plain normal e-books, for reading.
They do not show up on any lists on iTunes.
I would suppose that only someone who downloads ebooks from the Library would know
how to delete books from the Archives on iPod 2nd Gen. Audio books are handled differently.

Why cant i sync contacts/calendar from iphone to itunes

I have just ordered a new iPhone 6 plus and awaiting its arrival. I currently have an iPhone 4 which I inherited from my dad, so it was still listed as his phone when I plugged into iTunes, but my outlook email address is listed as the current active email account on the phone. Problem is, when I try to sync my mail, contacts and calendars to iTunes (when signed in with the apple id that matches my outlook email address) so as to back up the device ready for transfer to my new iPhone, I am unable to, it only backs up the apps on the phone. When I click on the phone in iTunes and select the info section, it says that I can only sync 'windows contacts' (there is no other option in the drop down menu) and underneath that I cannot sync calendars because outlook must be installed, and further below under the 'sync mail accounts' section there is no accounts listed. So I suppose I have a number of questions which don't seem to be specifically answered anywhere, or I cant find them-
1. Is the issue because the IPhone I am trying to sync was not the original one that I had synced on iTunes to my apple id, or because my dads iPhone was registered to another email account? Do I then need to ensure that the phone is mapped only to my iTunes account?
2. Or, Is the issue because I don't have Microsoft outlook installed on the PC hard drive? I am using windows 8 and login to the PC using my email account and can access outlook using the mail app.
3. Or. is the issue related to another article I have found about Apple and Microsoft refusing to fix an underlying issue to allow this?
4. If I were able to do what I am trying to do, would my entire contacts library stored on the phone be transferred to iTunes as back up for transfer to the new phone, or would it just be my outlook contacts? (I would hope the entire contact list stored in the phone)
Appreciate any help, what I am trying to do should be quite simple but after a few hours trying and searching I fear it may be easier to just copy everything over manually which doesn't sound right!!

You should be able to do this just as you did in iPhone. You can use OS X's mail application. Go to Preferences menu and you'll see an Accounts tab. Go from there.

I have heard about i sync but it is through the bluetooth which for me wont work hardly at all so i got an ipad hoping it might work however does not so im wondering why it wont work. Im also questioning if this isync is just a lost cause and was not meant to work at all. I wonder if this is not a lost cause why hasn't iTunes used that a to make a quicker syncing process.
Also why is it through bluetooth and not through WiFI so that you wouldn't be sitting for 3 hours for iTunes to fill you iphone with songs.

iSync is for non-Apple devices only and only for contacts and calendars. You use iTunes to sync music, movies, contacts etc with Apple devices via USB.
WiFi sync is not a feature of iOS devices for media.
You can sync Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks etc. "over the air" using MobileMe on iOS devices.

Why cant I sync my mp3 files to my iPhone 4?

Around 4 months ago, I found a load of old mp3 files that I ripped from a CD. I put them onto my iTunes and synced my iPhone (4) (iOS6) over wifi, and it all worked perfectly. The songs stayed on my iPhone for around two months, but since I have updated to iOS7.0.4, and iTunes 11.1.3 on Windows 7, and now nothing will sync over Wifi, or over cable. These songs still show up on my iPhone, but with the (stationary) installing icon next to it.
Recently I found (even) more songs in mp3 that I wanted to put on my iPhone. I added them to my library, added the artist, album and cover, and attempted to sync my iPhone. They are not going across, and I'm getting fustrated. I can still listen to the songs in my Library through the "Share" option in the iPhone music app, but for that to work, my laptop and my iPhone have to be connected to Wifi. I want to be able to listen to music without Wifi, and without having to turn my laptop on.
Is anyone else having this problem? If so, why the **** hasn't Apple fixed this problem?
