Why cant I type in Finder??

All of the sudden I can't type in Finder.
I can type in Safari or Firefox but I cant type in Finder. I cant rename folders or files for some reason.
Does anyone know how to correct this?

Try relaunching Finder by using Force Quit.

A while ago my iphone started rebooting on its own after I try and open an application or just on its on. I restored my iphone and that really didnt stop the rebooting from happening. That was late last year. This year the phone still reboots and as of yesterday if I need to text or simply type something whether it be in safari, dialing a phone number or typing in my passcode, the keys are off. Say i type the letter A well A might come up or 4 Ds might come up making it very difficult to look up anything or text. Even if i try and touch someone's name to dial it. it will either dial that person or my screen will jumble and it will dial whoever. Today I restored my phone and it is still doing this. I even experienced a blank white screen yesterday while trying to turn the phone off. Today my phones battery is running down while it is plugged into the wall charger. Im now on my third charge for the day with the computer charger. Anyone know what could be going on? I understand maybe its simply time for a new phone and I'm trying to hold out for the iphone 5 but may have to give in.

If a restore as new didn't solve your problem, you likely have a hardware problem. You might be better off buying a used iPhone off craigslist and waiting until the next iPhone is released, unless yours is still under warranty.

Why cant my Apple TV find my Apple account?

Im trying to set up my Apple tv. I finally get my ID changed to my email and now when I try and log into anything on the Apple TV. It says "The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again". I know this is WRONG because I just used everything to log into THIS support. I've attempted MULTIPLE times double checking spelling etc.. just wont work. HELP!!! Please

Ok so I figured it out. I had another ID before I got the iphone. And now getting the icloud and Iphone you must make sure EVERYthing is all synced up through the SAME itunes account. If you use a sepperate ID for one just make sure your cc is set up with the account your going to use for Apple TV. They dont want to give anything away. iMatch for instance.

Still it could not find the data network.it searches for voice network instantly and works too. but even full voice network available, there is no data network.when i restart the phone it could find data network.

2 Made a folder and called it imagies
3 made a folder and called it media. I have put the media

8 When I try to play this in design view i get the error
message (unable to find media that handles this media type

browser plugin folder and put it in my webwork media folder still

9 When I view it on my browser the media icon(shockwave)

and load it up to my web browser it downloads the tune and plays

My MBP is Early 2011 but dunno why cant use mirroring with apple TV, the icon cannot be found. So cannot use mirroring.
I have follow trouble shooting , they recommend to go system preference -> display , thus can find out the mirroring icon if no mean it doesnt support. But according to the web, Early 2011 MBP should be able to use, dunno why.

Just realise I havent updated my OS to mountain lion and this is the reason why I cannot use mirroring before ^^

Why cant I drag and drop into playlists

I used to be able to drop and drag inrto playlists. Now I get a message which says press + button to add, but there seems no way of doing it. I'm using windows 7

Apple Support Communities updatesI’ve tried the control-I route and then tried to locate the file without success. What I get as a file location starts with //localhost/C:/Users. It may also be useful to know that most/all the missing files seem to have been copied from CDs. I can’t be sure if it’s all because the whole music file has nearly 9000 entries! The ones that still seem to work were copied from an external hard drive.

                                The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place. (In the case of a library moved from one system to another there are also potential permissions issues. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows if this might apply.)
                                Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to Get Info, then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Due to a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say No twice!) Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, a folder renamed, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. If the difference between the two paths is an additional Music folder in one path then this is a layout issue. I can explain further if that is the case.
                                In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info but this time click Locate and browse to the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links. Although it says something like "use the same location" it expects to find the tracks in the same artist & album layout that it generates, not all in one big folder.
                                If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

To make it display on the desktop, Finder > Preferences > General tab > check external disks.
The drive might be formatted NTFS for Windows which is treated as read-only on the Mac. Need to reformat it using disk utility.

Why can't I turn find my mac on?

I tried to turn on "Find my Mac" via the system preferences and I got an alert stating "Some configurations, such as software or hardware RAID, do not support a recover partitioned and cant be used with Find my Mac"
Why am I getting this message and what do I need to do to solve the problem and turn Find my Mac on?
I have 3 partitions on my hard drive, HFS for my OSX files, NTFS for bootcamp and a FAT for transferring stuff between the 2. Not sure if this is what the error message is getting at, if it is I still have no idea why?

Hi All,
When we run webservice, as I am using File Adapter to read/write the file information.
Usually, File Adapter reads once every file and it wont read again the same file whcih already red.
Where and How this status maintained by File Adapter/BPEL in the system.
Where this will be avvailable and why cant File Adapter read/poll the same file.
Pls can any one of you share your ideas on the same.

Tried to get some information around where ftp adapter stores the timestamp but couldnt find anything useful.
But we have a table for File adapter which captures the processing information (FILEADAPTER_IN )
I dont have the setup for FTP adapter to run an example. If you could try the below we can clarify that the timestamp is not stored in memory.
Configure as usual for a folder with a file pattern for FTP adapter.
Drop a file to process it and then restart the SOA Suite and try to drop the same file with same timestamp to see wheather FTP adapter picks up or not.
Ideally i feel once you restart the SOA Suite it should pick up the file, if still not picks up the file for second time then we need to dig indepth to see where this information is stored.
btw what is your usecase ?

Well we are all "getting up to speed" with HTML5 because, as it stands, it is still not a standard.
As to styling in CS4 vs CS5.5, Dreamweaver is an engine that assists in making good HTML code. It's agnostic. If you don't close your tags properly in CS 5.5 and then open the same document in CS4, it will notice that you did not close your tags properly.
Adobe makes plugins that will allow CS4 to do code hinting properly with HTML5 selectors and CSS3, assuming the document is peroperly defined as an HTML5 document.

Why cant the controlfile be in sync, when using backup controlfile

i understand a few point ...from a dba friend of mine..
you need a resetlog to sync the datafile headers and the controlfiles
1) you need a resetlog when doing incomplete recovery
2) you can recovery completely using a backup controlfile provided you have all the necessary archived logs and online redo logs.
3) but in order not to do resetlog after 2) , you must re-create the controlfile
my questions are
q1) are the following point above true ?
*q2) why cant oracle update the controlfile when recovering using the backup controlfile ? in that case, i do not need to recreate a controlfile , isnt it ?

q2) You need to OPEN RESETLOGS. You can choose to create controlfile OR not create controlfile (i.e. open with the backup controlfile that was used for the RECOVER).
If you do a CREATE CONTROLFILE it has to be CREATE CONTROLFILE RESETLOGS, followed by ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS.
in what circumstances, would i need to re-create the controlfile when i can still use the backup controlfile ? as in any case, i would still need to resetlog.

NoobIf you have backup controlfile then do not need recreate control files.And you need use backup control file.If you lost all backup of control files and copies then or you want change database name then you can use RECREATE CONTROL FILE again.
