Why clone the default JRA configuration?

When I follow the xMII install guide, I see a step called "Cloning the Def ault JRA Configuration".
Why is this necessary?  I did not see this for a pure Java system install.
Could you kindly explain?
Thanks a lot!
Regards.

Hi,
I have used JRA Cloning in SAP MII 12.1.6
As per my knowledge when you want to use JRA action blocks in SAP MII Workbench under transaction.
In JRA Start session action block you need to configure JRA Connector Name which contains following info.
Than you need to configure clone of default JRA in which we will pass all SAP system (to which you want to communicate)details like
SAPClient
The SAP ECC client number to which you want to connect
UserName
The SAP ECC-defined user for the communication
Password
The SAP ECC-defined password for your user name
Language
The logon language for the user
ServerName
The SAP ECC server URL as it resolves on your network (Fully Qualified)
PortNumber
The SAP ECC-defined system number to which you are connecting
just for understaning as we pass different parameter in JCO action blocks like  client, username, password etc..
Hope this help

Why is the default charset is GBK , not UTF-8 or GB18030 for Chinese OS???
    GBK is obsolete in China.
UTF-8 is reasonable for modern computer.

Thus input into java always becomes UTF8.
And output starts as UTF8 and then is translated into whatever the target is.

  • Why did the default save location use the users appdata location and not create an Adobe Premiere Folder in documents.

I have a user that started working on a premiere pro project 2 weeks ago.  She then received an update from adobe which she ran and the next day the premiere pro project she was working on was gone.  After I looked at found that the save location was in the users AppData\Adobe\Premiere\6.0 folder (which was empty).  I would first like to know why by default did it store the saves in the AppData folder?  Why was the folder over written after the update?

  • Why does the default install make a partition for boot?

The installer, if one lets it prepare one's hard drive, makes a partition for boot, and formats it as a second extended filesystem. I know that people debate the need for/desirability of a partition for boot, and I do not mean to revive that debate. Rather, I am interested in knowing why the Arch developers, like the developers of some other distributions, such as Gentoo, but unlike some, such as Slackware, call for a boot partition, with ext2fs file system, on a default install. Should Arch users interpret this as a recommendation? Also, why is the partition quite a bit larger (although tiny compared to the available space on hard drives these days) than seems necessary?
    Thanks.

I've looked at a couple of books and a fair number of internet posts on this, and I must say that these responses are a good deal more concise and clear than what I have come across. I did find it interesting that the Slackware on-line manual doesn't make any effort to encourage it. On the other hand, what you guys are saying sounds sensible enough.
I have both Arch and Gentoo running, sharing a boot partition, which I set at 50MB. I'm using 25% of it, which is why I ask about size - obviously not in terms of overall capacity, but in terms of need.
Why not a lot less - say, even if one is considering dual boot, 20MB? And where do numbers like 32MB come from (the Arch, and indeed Gentoo, default, also referred to by T-Dawg)? Why not use round numbers?
Does 32MB have some rational/irrational/astrological/lucky 7 connection to 64MB RAM, sort of like designating 128MB as swap instead of using numbers like 120MB or 125MB or 130MB?
As you probably know, in Gentoo this stuff is done on the command line in fdisk, and I found it quite odd to be told in their manual to tell fdisk that the boot partition should be 32MB (assuming a single operating system) and swap should be 256MB, especially since fdisk and my hard drive took these numbers with a grain of salt and conspired to adjust them to slightly different numbers complete with decimals. Arch, on default, does the same.
Then I find out that with two operating systems, I'm using about 13MB out of 50MB (or rather 49.9MB, as fdisk and my hard drive decreed)
To change the subject a bit, I think that it is a good idea that the current version of Arch .08 would create, on the default track, a /home partition. There are some nice ideas in the install dialogue, including in the section on setting up a hard drive.

  • How do you clone the "Default" Templates V1.6

Does anyone know how I can clone then use the Report Template called "Default Vertical Look 2" in V1.6? I've created a new theme and the associated repository templates, but that does not list the "Default" Templates. I want to change the colours of the template background in a vertical style report.
    thanks in advance

yes, thank you i see that.
i don't know much about servers, but it kind of sounds like i would be running the OS from a server and not the individual macs. i don't think that will work for me either.
it sounds like i will need to by the multi-license then exchange the DVDs for CDs so i can install on the G4 DP 533.
i could use the clone method, but the mac isn't really a clone, they have their own identities in mutlti-user log in.

  • Why does the default theme for firefox 4 only work with add-ons such as personas? It will allow me to preview an alternative theme with a persona but won't let me apply it without switching to the default. No option for disabled and visually impaired.

Firefox 4 will no longer allow me to use a theme (other than the default) with a Persona. When I "try on" a skin, FF4 allows me to ''preview'' the theme with the persona but will not allow me to ''apply'' the persona without '''automatically''' switching my chosen theme (disorganizing my menu's, bookmarks, and tool-bars) back to the default. Firefox 4 also begins to load an all-default setting browser when it is first opened slowing my browsing start up. All issues were not experienced before the Mozilla Firefox 4.0 upgrade.

    Hi David,
Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?
Do you have any stored preferences for PDF files in Firefox?

  • Why does the default Mac print dialog show up in Acrobat?

Instead of the Acrobat print dialog:
    The Mac print dialog:
shows up when I invoke the Print command.
Is there a preference that needs to be reset? Sometimes quitting and restarting Acrobat fixes the problem, but I've had computers that have never shown the Adobe print dialog, only the Mac dialog.

according to your illustrations you have two different Printers setup.
Unfortunately, in Acrobat 9 the Page setup Dialog does not function  it shows any printer.  I've explained here.

IF this is Acrobat 9 - I have sent back bug reports, I've posted in Fedback forum (not discussion Forum) about this as well.  I have yet to see an answer to the problem. What you need to do is on the 2nd one that has the different dialog is set that to the same printer as in the first.
IF page setup does work in your version of Acrobat make sure that while in acrobat choose correct printer then in page attributes click and choose save as default. That way acrobat will always default to this setup to start with when opening Acrobat.
Another thing you can try is if you have removed a printer and added a new printer go to Printer Utility, and remove the old printer. If you have added a printer make the new printer the default Printer.

  • Why do the .default profile folders in XP and 7 have different names?

I am a new user of SugarSync online backup that synchronizes folders between computers. My XP has a Firefox profile folder wjfvu1mr.default, and Window 7 has a profile folder 6fogozjd.default. Both systems use Firefox 4.0. I cannot sync these folders between systems because they have different names. Any ideas so I can use SugarSync? Rename on of thee .default folders?
BTW. I would like to use SugarSync to do this but what about Firefox Sync? I know nothing about how that works.

Profile folders are named randomly for your security. However, you should be able to change the name if you like. I have not tested this procedure, so you might want to wait for further input.
First, make a backup: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, with Firefox closed, rename your profile folder.
Then, navigate up to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox and edit the path in profiles.ini to match the new folder name.
Regarding Firefox Sync, since it works with desktops and mobile, I don't think it relies on profile names to match up. But Firefox Sync is a very young offering and may not have the full functionality of SugarSync.

  • Why does the default update install add McVee Anit-virus, I didn't want it the first time?

Everytime an update comes from Adobe the "Add McVee" is automatically checked. If I miss it, the update installs McVee and screws up my computer, I already have Norton and do not need nor want MCVee. I didn't want it the first time so If you can't have the default un-check that option I will have to find an alternate or some other .

You can set the Microsoft updater to not update automatically. It can be set to update manually. Eliminates one issue. Second issue is get rid of virus checking software. You don't need it.

  • Why is the default zoom 125%

Is the default zoom in Numbers 3 supposed to be 125%? Is there a way to change the default zoom?

    Hi Jeff,
New From Template Chooser opens at 125% zoom, even for a custom template saved with 100% zoom. However, a document saved at 100% (and not locked) reopens at 100% and at the position when last saved. But is not the same for everyone!
View after saving at 100%, closing, reopening.

  • How to restore the default web configuration in Lion

Hi guys so I was messing around with apache/php/mysql, and after trying to enable openssl I think i made a mistake because when I try to enable web sharing by checking off the checkbox under system preferences it just turns back off right away. If i go to 127.0.0.1 it doesn't work and neither does the localhost. I could try going through the httpd.conf files to fix it if someone could help me with that but I'd rather just try starting over, so i was wondering if there's a command to restore the web configuration back to factory settings. I know there's one for lion server which is $ sudo serveradmin command web:command=restoreFactorySettings Is there anything similar i could do in Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4??
    Thanks

No I haven't, could you explain how that works?? i can try it, it's something like this right? http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5289

  • G780 2183 model, I'm trying to install the default sound configuration in my fresh installed system

I would love to be able to get back the sound configuration that was there before I reinstalled.
The first time I tryed to install Dolby I got a message saying it needs PCEE installed first. I messed around allot and now it says DHT cannot be installed. I did have an old version of PCEE installed but apparently whatever I did wasnt correct because the sound is so horrible.
This is very important to me because I make music so please anything I can provide to help you diagnose this farther ask me and I will give it.
I deleted the recovery partition so I can setup a tripleboot system by installing everything from scratch.
If I have the correct drivers I would have good bass sound which I dont have now.

    Hi vectoravtech,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
In order for the Dolby to install properly, you will have to:
Make sure to un-install the Audio driver first under Device Manager
       > Open device Manager
       > Go to sound, video and game controllers
       > Look for Audio driver might be Conexant or Realtek Audio
       > Right click on it and select uninstall put a check on Delete the driver software for this device
Check you Control Panel / Programs and feature / Uninstall a program list for any Realtek Audio and Any Dolby Components you can see
If there is one uninstall it as well
If non then just proceed to the next step,
    Download and install this
    Conexant Audio Driver
    0qau10ww.exe
    104MB
Now you will have navigate your folders and find the Dolby Installer that came with the Conexant you just downloaded/Installed
You can try this to search it
Got to My Computer and open your drive C: and on the top right of your screen,
you will see a search option, type in Dolby.
Once you found this file, install it.
You will now then have the program for Dolby and Equalizer.
    Hope this helps,
    Let me know your findings
    Cheers!

  • Why is the default value for "scale relative to target page" set at 50%?

My goodness, I can't believe that this isn't fixed and there aren't more people jumping up and down about it! drives me crazy and waste's time on each use of the watermark.
The situation is: add watermark to document, screen appears with default settings and the "scale relative to target page" is not only ticked but is set to a value of 50%. You would think that it shouldn't matter as my saved presets are all saved without that tick box checked but in fact it does. Each preset I use initially opens at 50% scale. I then have to click the tick box once and then tick it off again and full scale returns.
This is an old issue that has never been addressed. There is a work around here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/689463 but it is a work around and I would rather not scale every document even if it is in theory at a scale of 100%.
Anyone got a FIX for this?
    Thanks,

You're not the only one who wants to expand that dialog. Someone wanted it badly enough to create an add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/ (I haven't tried it myself)
