Why configuring clock using clock set command is not accepted in nexus 7k?

Hello,
I have a message like this:
Admin-CORE1_VDC# clock set 15:26:00 7 december 2014
Setting clock from CLI is not allowed in this VDC.
Use the following config command to use the "clock set" command.
clock protocol none vdc <vdc_id>
If I issue that command the message shows like this:

No help what-so-ever. All I want to do is download the $299.00 Acrobat XI

It should be one simple procedure but it never ends!!!!

  • Why is Clock Set unstable?

In my practice i realized that setting clocks always change to "a dead old time of 1993 i think this was the factory default" whenever i restart the router, even though the new "clock set" is saved to "startup"
Can anyone please help as to why this is happining and how to come about resolving it?
The command used was "clock set hh:min:sec MONTH DATE YY"
    Thanks

Olu, the seting time/date unfortunately is not saved in configuration , in most cases this is normally resolved by configuring network time protocol also known as NTP , in the event that you do not have an internal server that provides NTP information there are numerus public NTP server out in the internet where you can pooint your local NTP servers to sync up with public NTP servers, do a search on google for public NTP once you get some of this information then you don't have to use anymore clock set but point your device to NTP servers to pool time date information onto your router or switch.

  • Need to download Global address List for Kiosk user while configuring Outlook using POP3 setting

    Hi,
We have configured Kiosk User in Outlook using POP3 setting but we are not able to see the GAL in the Outlook Client.
Kindly whether there is options to download the GAL using LDAP query in Exchange Online.
An answer would be of great help.
    Regards,
    Manoj Issac

    Hi Manoj,
POP3 was designed to support offline mail processing. With POP3 protocol in Exchange, client user can send and receive message from Exchange server. But POP3 doesn't offer advanced collaboration features such as calendaring, contacts, Address
    Book(GAL) and tasks.
Therefore, the POP3 client can’t access address book. It is recommended to use MAPI protocol to connect to the Exchange server. For external user, the users can also use Outlook Anywhere or OWA to access the mailbox with better Exchange features
    experience.

  • A summary of set commands that are accepted by SQL Developer...

Sorry, I've been looking for a list of commands that are used by SQL Developer such as "set verify off|on", etc.
Can anyone point me to a list of these commands (the equivalent to SQL*Plus set commands)?
    Thanks in advance!
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
Try Help|Table of Contents|SQL Developer Concepts and Usage|Using SQL Worksheet|SQL*Plus Statements Support and Not Supported in SQL Worksheet.
What you see there depends on your SQL Developer version. Over time, SQL*Plus support keeps improving.

I'm guessing it needs a password to update your system - that is, the administrator password. Most software needs this when you install it.
This is the password you (or someone) chose when you first switched on your computer.

  • Error in updating custom database table using UPDATE SET Command

    Hi,
I developed an automated collection system program in one of our clients simulating FBE1 (Payment Advice Creation) and F-28 (Posting of Incoming Payments) transaction codes. Upon posting, we encountered an error in PRD server wherein, for some of the posted items, the STATUS field in our custom table was not successfully updated. We tried to reverse the clearing document and debug the program. Upon posting, we were able to successfully update the status. We could not simulate the error in QAS since all the postings in QAS were successful and all status' relating to these postings were updated as well. We tried posting multiple times and the program seems to be working fine. In PRD, this behavior is just random and there is no specific pattern as to how the error occured. Provided below is the code I used for updating custom table ZFIACSF28. The STATUS field should be equal to '4' once the posting is successful. We are not sure if this is a database related issue. 7 users are authorized to do the postings in PRD and they are using the same user account.
    CODE:
      CALL TRANSACTION 'F-28' USING gt_bdcdata
                              MODE   'E'
                              UPDATE 'S'
                              MESSAGES INTO gt_messtab.
READ TABLE gt_messtab INTO wa_messtab WITH KEY msgtyp = 'S'
                                                     msgnr  = '312'.
      IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
update status for items cleared bearing the same OR Number*
        UPDATE zfiacsf28 SET status       = '4'
                             zsapdocument = wa_messtab-msgv1(10)
                             zruntime     = sy-uzeit
                             zrundate     = sy-datum
                       WHERE zor          = gv_zor
                       AND   customer     = gv_customer.
        COMMIT WORK.
    ENDIF.

    Hi,
it's not possible that status isn't updated in zfiacsf28 while date and time are updated there, because it's hard coded.
There must be other programs that also change your table zfiacsf28 and maybe clear those fields. Maybe the key fields zor and customer cannot provide  duplicate access, what is the meaning of field zor ?
Please check the where used list of table zfiacsf28 to find other update programs.
    Regards,
    Klaus

  • SSO using spnego set up but not working for an Enterprise Web Service

Hello, I am looking for some guidance. I have a function module that is exposed as a web service. I am trying to be able to access the web service with sso so the user does not need to logon. Systems has set up SSO using spnego to issue sap login tickets on our dual stack and sso is working if I try to access a netweaver link such as http://mycompany:8001/nwa but it is not working when I try to access my service
http://mycompany.com:8001/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/myservice/500/myservice/myservice. I am wondering why this would not work and if it is possible to use sso with enterprise services?
Thanks for any help...we have been stuck for a while now.

Hi, I have created the redirect app with a jsp page in it. So, would you be suggesting that I add another call within there? In the error pages section of my web service in sicf I have the redirect going to my redirect jsp which is then sent to my web service.

Here is  part of the the log from SMICM. It looks like I am making a connection but I am not sure what to look for to determine if the tickets is being sent and received.

  • Why does DB2 Data Flow Task query does not accept a date coming from a string or datetime variable in SSIS?

I am trying to compare a DB2 date format to a date variable from SSIS. I have tried to set the variable as datetime and string. I have also casted the SQL date as date in the data flow task. I have tried a number of combinations of date formats, but no luck
yet. Does anyone have any insights on how to set a date (without the time) variable and be able to use it in the data flow task SQL? It has to be an easy way to accomplish that. I get the following error below:
An invalid datetime format was detected; that is, an invalid string representation or value was specified. SQLSTATE=22007".
    Thanks!

    Hi Marcel,
Based on my research, in DB2, we use the following function to convert a string value to a date value:
    Date(To_Date(‘String’, ‘DD/MM/YYYY’))
So, you can set the variable type to String in the package, and try the following query:
    ACCOUNT_DATE  BETWEEN  '11/30/2013' AND  Date(To_Date(?, ‘DD/MM/YYYY’))

  • Why is the trial version of iWork '09 not accepting my boxed serial?

Recently my MBP crashed, which caused me to lose everything on there, including my iWork software.
My install disc is in another country and I won't be there for at least a few months. I have the serial number, but the trial version of iWork I downloaded doesn't seem to be taking it.
    Then again, it says:
If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, install from the DVD and follow the onscreen instructions. If you purcharsed a serial number for iWork '09 from an Apple Online store, the serial number was emailed to you.
Does this mean that 'boxed serials' (not to be confused with boxed cereals) won't work on the downloaded trial version of iWork?

As Fruhulda wrote, there is no serial number for the in_a_box iWork '09 so what you wrote is inaccurate !
If you have a serial number, it's not related to the in_a_box iWork '09.
Are you sure that what you had is iWork '09 ?
If your serial number is one related to iWork '08, it's normal that it doesn't apply to the iWork '09 trial.
If it's that, you may get the iWork '08 trial on my iDisk (address below)
    Download :
    For_iWork:iWork '08:iWork08Trial.dmg
I wish to add that before installing the in_a_box iWork '09, we must remove every files related to the trial version.
This is why I delivered an uninstall script.
Go to my iDisk (address below)
    Download :
    For_iWork:iWork '09:uninstall iWork '09.zip
expand it and run the script.

  • Why is InfoObj which is a CHAR STRING not accepting 'True' from ENDROUTINE

    Hi,
I was loading data through DTP and the load failed, with a message to the effect the characters were faulty.i.e that True and False are faulty characters.
The problem is that I had a statement in my EndRoutine like:
            "..........-/BIC/AAAAAA = 'True'.
          Else
            "..........-/BIC/AAAAAA = 'False'.
So, I verified and the InfoObject AAAAAA properties were:
    DATA Type: character string
    Length : 5
    Master data/Text:
       With Master data
           With Text
So, if AAAAAA is a string why the problem with the acceptance of 'True'  or False'.
    Any hints.

    Hi,
Sorry, the * was a typo. I was just trying to BOLD it. It should have been:
    "..........-/BIC/AAAAAA = 'True'.
    Else
    "..........-/BIC/AAAAAA = 'False'.
Can you explain the following sentence you made further:
Remember, this is a key field, so you may be better off with 0 or 1 -or- blank and X with the text description of 'True' for 0/blank and 'False' for 1/X.
I am not getting it. Also, why are you assuming that AAAAAA is a key?
What is the difference if it is part of key? Or, if it is not part of a key.
    Thanks
