Why control records disable in mapping for idoc communication?

Hi, In the mapping we disable conrol records in file to idoc ...why is their any specific reason..>? plz respond me soon..accurate question reward more..thanq

Hey,
EDI_DC40 contains the data about control records.
Before the message leaves the Integration Server, the message header contains values that are exported and used later to complete the IDoc control record.
Adapter populates it runtime.
Correct me if i am wrong

    Target field is Rate.
    Mapping rule is as follows.
    zero when Condiditon type (E1EDP05-KSCHL ) = YCSE  ( enter total 15 digits without any decimal in it. The last 2 digits will be treated as digits after decimal )
    Can someone explain the mapping?
    I have to map KRATE and Rate but where does KSCHL comes into this?

  • Changing IDOC control record by XSL Mapping

    Hi,
    I am using scenario: legacy -> XI -> R/3.
    In the first step I am mapping XML -> IDOC. I have to map the field "SERIAL" in idoc control record in EDI_DC40 (idoc control record structure) with a constant. When I view the message in XI monitor. I cannot see the change and that field is not visible as before.
    Any suggestions would be highly appreciated !
    Regards,
    Faiq

    Hi,
    If you have set the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the following fields are filled from the IDoc-XML payload:
    MESCOD
       MESCFT
       TEST
       EXPRSS
       STD
       STDVRS
       STDMES
       SNDSAD
       SNDLAD
       RCVSAD
       RCVLAD
       REFINT
       REFGRP
       REFMES
       STATUS
       DIRECT
       OUTMOD
       CREDAT
       CRETIM
    You can change the contents of only above  fields by using a mapping and getting it replected in the SAP System.

  • Idoc control record DIRECT field mapping

    Hello,
    I have a file to idoc scenario where the receiver system is an external one.
    I have the necessity to set in the outbound idoc control record DIRECT = 1.
    The XI system is XI 3.0 SP 19 and I've set up the mapping of the idoc control record in the message mapping and selected Apply Control Record Values from Payload and Take receiver from Payload in the Receiver Communication Channel but the idoc is still generated with DIRECT = 2.
    In the documentation the field DIRECT is listed as one that will be filled using the message mapping if Apply Control Record Values from Payload is selected.
    How can I generate an idoc with DIRECT = 1?
    Regards,
    Elisa

    Hello Punit,
    I know that logically the right value should be 2 but the request of the receiver system is to have it as 1.
    They only elaborate the idoc they receive with DIRECT = 1 (outbound).
    In SAP documentation the field is listed as one that can be mapping with the message mapping but the idoc adapter is ignoring the mapping even when the Apply Control Record Values from Payload is selected.

    Elisa

  • Questions to a Mapping for IDOC-to-File Scenario

    Hi all,
    I want do develop a Message-Mapping for an IDOC-to-File Scenario. A SAP System sends an IDOC to the XI-System and the XI-System should make a mapping an send a XML-File to a FTP-Server. The Strukture of the target message is very easy:
    <xdoc>
       <Invoice>
          @purno
          <HeaderInfo>
             <invno/>
             <shipdate/>
             <extvalue/>
          </HeaderInfo>
          <DetailInfo>
             <LineItem>
                @lineno
                <vpartno/>
                <descrip/>
                <qtyord/>
                <cost/>
                <vendmemo/>
             </LineItem>
          </DetailInfo>
       </Invoice>
    </xdoc>
    The source message is an IDOC. This IDOC can contain one or more positions (E1EDP01). Those different positions should be mapped into different LineItem's (see target structure) -> so in the target file one or more LineItems can appear.
    Is it possible to implement this process with a common message-mapping or have I to implement a business process?
    Thanks
    with best regards
    Christopher

    Hi Christopher,
    <i>Is it possible to implement this process with a common message-mapping or have I to implement a business process?</i> - This thing is possible with common message mapping......you dont need business proces for it.......in msg mapping after taking the source IDOC and target xml struc, map the E1EDP01 field to LineItem field.......just check the occurance of these nodes.....it should be 0..unbounded.........so as many E1EDP01 nodes will be there in idoc, that many LineItem nodes in target will be created.......
    Thanks,

  • Error in Operation Mapping for Idoc to File Scenario

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing Idoc to File Scenario for Timesheet IDoc "HRSM_C" and following step are through,
    Sender agreement --> Receiver Determination --> Interface Determination
    got stuck in Operation mapping, it sahows error
    "Unable to find resource 193c0e01-bd37-11dd-850c-d879ac131b1f in the following software component versions: http://clarityPOCcom/sap/xi/tf/_MM_Timesheets_iDocToFile_.class-1"
    Also not all the fields of IDoc HRSM_C are transferred to the XI server as I am unable to see all the fields in xml file using transaction idx5, as I suppose the reason behind may be there are no values in those fields.
    Please suggest how to resove the issue and transfer all the fields from R3 to XI in Idoc eventhough it doesn't contain any value.

  • Route of the operator.... while creating mapping for idoc to file

    Hi,
    Scenario is IDOC to File but certain rules are there while creating a mapping in XI.
    This is the description for my scenario :
    Within XI this Idoc message needs to be translated into 2 text files:
    1 file for the route of the operator
         - Read the idoc data.
         - When reading a new order first get the customer. This will be a new line in the file.
            The customer number will be set into the filed u2018CustomerIDu2019.
         - Then read the items. For every item create a new line in the file. The machine number will be mapped to the field CustomerID
         - The field RouteOrder should get a sequential number. Starting at 001 and updated by 1 for every new line.
    Could you please guide me how can i implement this above scenario.
    Regards,
    Y.Raj

    Within XI this Idoc message needs to be translated into 2 text files:
    this can be done using multimapping i.e. defining your target messages at mapping tabs in your message mapping.
    When reading a new order first get the customer. This will be a new line in the file.
    The customer number will be set into the filed u2018CustomerIDu2019.
    If there is some condition for identifying new order then you should put condition based on input field.
    if customer no doesnot exists in order then RFC lookup can fetch customerno
    The field RouteOrder should get a sequential number. Starting at 001 and updated by 1 for every new line.
    for this declare varaible in global section and use the same or some builtin function can be used for the same.

  • Conditions on Mapping for IDOC

    Hi,
    I has the following structure of an IDOC
    - <E1EDKA1 SEGMENT="1"> 1..........Unbounded
      <PARVW>XXXX</PARVW>
      <PARTN>YYYYY</PARTN>
    where E1EDKA1 occurs 1......Unbounded at the sender side .
    Based on the Values of PARVW
    PARVW =RG,AG,WE
    Receiver fields :
    RECEIVER1
    RECEIVER2
    RECEIVER3
    If PARVW = RG i need to map the value of PARVW to RECEIVER1
    If PARVW = AG i need to map the value of PARVW to RECEIVER2
    If PARVW = WE i need to map the value of PARVW to RECEIVER2
    Request you to please give me the suggestions
    Thanks & Regards,
    Y.Raj

    1. Check whether u hv changed the context of PARVW to IDOC in all the three mappings.
    2. u hv to use equalsS function of text category.
    PARVW----------->equalsS---->if------->receiver1
    Constant[a]------>           then<---PARVW
    Similarly change constants for receiver2 and receiver3.

  • Its possible to Create Bussiness Service for IDOC Communication Channel

    HI FRNDS,
    My scenario File to Idoc,
      When we will go for business Service , Its possible to create Business Service SAP R/3, its a Good advice.
    To which Adapters we will use business Service, business System
    Regards,
    raj

    Hi,
    This is the basic difference between Business Service and Business System. This will help you in concluding why you use them and hence you can deduce your answer....
    Business System
    Business systems are logical systems that function as senders or receivers within the SAP Exchange Infrastructure. You configure business systems in the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). A business system is always associated with a technical system (here: SAP Web AS ABAP system).
    Business Service
    Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
    You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.

  • Mapping of Control records in file to idoc scenario

    Hi,
    In the mapping part of file to idoc scenario is it necessary to provide the exact control record details
    or will it pick what ever is mentioned ? Can any one please explain regarding the same?
    Many Thanks,
    Sharath

    hi,
    in case of apply control records from payload
    It is indeed very simple to do it and the feature is available from SP10. I have seen lot of posts on the forum for the same and that is the reason for this blog. We can manipulate the control record in the mapping editor and map the EDI_DC40 segment of Idoc as required. Most of the times we need to map only SNDPRN, RCVPRN, SNDPRT, RCVPRT for posting Idocs with appropriate partner profiles in SAP R/3 destination systems. We can disable the rest of the fields as shown below. We need to manually change the control record of idoc for populating partner profiles in the control records while dealing with non-sap sender system, which will be used by receiver SAP system for posting idocs with appropriate ALE configurations.

  • Inbound Idoc - control record settings

    Hi,
    we have a JDBC to Idoc scenario. We get data from JDBC interface (outbound), map some fields and send it to a receiver SAP system as an Idoc (inbound). We did a similar scenario before and PI filled out automatically the control record settings. So in our mapping to the idoc XML format the must fieds in the control records are set to constant="pi dummy entry".
    It worked for the former scenario well. For this new scenario it doesn't! When i monitor the payload, SNDPOR as example is set with our dummy value of the mapping ("pi dummy entry").
    specials:
    - CC checkbox "Apply Control Values from Payload" is NOT set!
    - The destination SAP Business System is configured as a Party in Integration Directory (not such configurations in SLD)
    - We use PI 7.0
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    >>So the control record will not be send. I was expecting, that PI the control record data according to the configuration fills. Maybe this is a wrong assumption.
    Yes you need to disable the control record in message mapping, because you want PI to make it at run time based on the configuration done in PI.  So apart from disabling it you need to do some more settings.
    If you have used parties in SAP PI, then select the
    1.Apply control records in IDOC communication channel
    2. Update the Identifier tab in the IDoc receiver channel with the correct information for sender/receiver
    now when you see the IDoc Outbound (in SOap Header) then you will see the correct sender and receiver details.

  • Error values in Idoc Control Records in File to Idoc Scenarios

    Hi All,
       I am posting 2 different types of Idocs in 2 different File-to-Idoc Scenarios. In many cases both these files may get picked at the same time. One is an Orders Idoc and the other one is Shipment Idoc. The Orders Idoc has a control record value in the Sender Partner Fn as 'ZC' while as for Shipment Idoc that value is not passed. The other Sender parameters are passed and are different for both these idocs. But when the files are processed, the value 'ZC' get populated for the Shipment Idoc also. When 100 files are sent with 90 orders and 10 shipments, the shipments get created with 'ZC' partner fn. This is visible in the Call Adapter Pipeline Step under the node IDocOutbound. . I have 2 different Idoc receiver adapters.Can anybody help me out here?
    Thanks,
    Geetha

    Hey,
    >'ZC' while as for Shipment Idoc that value is not passed
    Check whether the Source/ Mapping  populates the 'ZC' , Did you checked Apply Control record in Receiver Adapter for Shipment, What is the name  you have mentioned for the in the SLD -Logical system  for Sender system

    Hi Vishal,

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/13/95244269625633e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    The messages exchanged between systems are of various message types. The message type depends on the data contained and the process involved. It determines the technical structure of the message, the IDoc type. For example, the FIDCMT message type is used for journal messages.
    The IDoc type indicates the SAP format that is to be used to interpret the data of a business transaction.
    An IDoc type consists of the following components:
    ·       a control record
    This is identical for each IDoc type.
    ·       several data records
    One data record consists of a fixed key part and a variable data part. The data part is interpreted using segments, which differ depending on the IDoc type selected.
    ·       several status records
    These are identical for each IDoc type and describe the statuses an IDoc has already passed through or the status an IDoc has attained.
