Why couldn't I download 8.0 without restoring?

When I attempted to download the update today, my phone power cycled and then the symbol with the charger pointing to "iTunes" logo came on the screen. I got out of bed grumbling and downloaded iTunes and then was told that my phone must be "restored" and I effectively lost ALL of my photos, messages, and everything from the last year. Why did this happen, and is there a way (BESIDES STUPID CLOUD) to get my pictures back???

You cannot download and install any fonts on the iPad. You are restricted to the fonts that are built into the apps.

I want to use applet to call the IE' file download box which does the csv download job.
Here is my idea:
First, click the menu of applet to call the servlet
Scecond,call the IE file download box by this servlet invoked by the applet.
The following code snippets intend to show the file download dialog:

unfortunately, the box didn't show!!!:-(
One thing can be clear that with the IE or NetScape supported ,the file download dialog can be raised by writing the code above.
I wanna make two things clear:
No1:Is it true the file download box is part of function of the browser?
No2:Is there any solution to this problem?

it happens with the keyboard disconnected. I was surprised it booted up without going through the user screen so I didn't have to enter my password.
and on another note, I'm sure it's obvious, but how do I boot up from my external drive with my imac? the other day when I was having serious issues while trying to fix this problem, I was unable to boot from my install disc

I have been one of your customers for c 3 years. Today you tried to send me an update that wouldn't download. I got through to a page about password- didn't knmow mine, to reset a new one. And now I am not sure how to send this to you! So what is going wrong???????

We are fellow users (for the most part) and not Adobe.
That being said, can you give us some details on what you are talking about? We don't even know what software you are using (Adobe doesn't send emails about downloading Adobe Reader).

Why? A glitch. The second copies are links to your purchases in the cloud and are not taking up any room. Sign out of the store and they should disappear. Sign back in again and they should stay gone.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.

Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).

That is really for your protection - a lot of the content you will be downloading from the apple store cost $$, and will be billed to your account. Even a lot of free programs and games have in app purchases. They (and you) dont want other people running up your bill. This is how apple makes sure you are you.
Once you sign in for a purchase, it stays live for a default 15 min - so you can download other stuff without signing in again.
There are a lot of complaints from other useres that 'my kid downloaded stuff and now i have to pay for it'. This is about the only way apple can control that problem.

i tried to re download a purchased audio book after i contacted apple support team for iTunes they said it would be ready for re download or they said id have to re download it from iTunes store i cant remember, so i tried both couldn't re download it from purchased menu and the book id have to re download from iTunes store costs money as if i have never purchased what do i do? I don't have any warranty any more or money to purchase another warranty.

I have bought 1 MacbookPor 17, 1 Macbook air, 1 MacbookPro 15 , 2 ipads, 3 iphones, and this iMac27 and 2 of iMAC24 or 20 not sure   but I do not recall ever doing what you are telling me in your reply.   When you get a extended car warranty, you don't   sign up for it.. it is just there and is included in the sale.   You don't buy this warranty to use it.. You buy it, in case something happens.   Here a perfect iMAC with minimum 100 hour useage has a dead drive. That is not normal and I should not have to even be requesting anything since most MFG offer a 3-5 year warranty on their disc drives and I believe that is probably passed on to Apple regardless if an extended warranty is purchased or not.   Customer service dictates a more flexible approach to make sure the lifetime value of a customer is not lost due to some misunderstanding.
I was in the MacStore that I purchased the unit..and they found and pulled the invoice and confirmed
the purchase of it in front of me. I had paid with credit card and fortunately it was there in their system.   I do not also recall recieving any box or paper although most everything I ever get remains sealed.. I am not in the habit of opening anything since I have never encountered any serious issues before.
   I have used my Macbookpro warranty 1 time and that is all throughout the years I have been investing in Apple equipment.
I just recieved a letter from the store asking me to get the paper to them so they can register it... I don't recall getting any paper actually. But I do have several boxes sealed here.. On this iMAC27, it was a hurry up and get it done thing and I don't remember taking anything extra with it.   Regardless, my request does not seem unreasonable.
