Why created package with SE80 can't be found in Transport Connection?

We want to transport our custom InfoCubes from Developement environment to Test environment:
RSA1 -> Transport Connection, select an InfoCube we created and drag it over to the right frame, group it by "In Dataflow Before and Afterwards". The Package column shows it's attached to $TMP that we would have to change it to a custom package that it can be transported over. We click the Package picture icon with a pencil trying to change the package attached from $TMP to a custom one, but can't find any custom package we created with SE80 from here. Could someone tell us why?

Yeh, if I run rsdcube and follow the menu you specified, I can assign the InfoCube to the custom package I created with SE80. I wonder why it's to work in this way? If clicking the Package picture icon with pencil in Transport Connection doesn't work or successfully to bring up the correct custom package we created, then why SAP has this stupid picture icon over there to mislead our developers?
You asked me how we created the custom package, we created them with SE80.
BTW, someone says that's BASIS work to create package to do the transports in their companies, how about your company? You don't have to create custom package and just assign the objects to the package BASIS creates for you?
Also someone says the ideal transport strategy is to group by "Necessary" other than "Dataflow Before and Afterwards", how do you think?

Hello Experts,
I am trying to create an ABAP Proxy based on my Service Interface. Before I do that I need to create a package using SE80/SE21. But, I am unable to create a package because it keeps asking me for a superpackage and there are no values in the drop down. Creating packages with path's

Can I create a package with a full path? i.e. the exact location of the package?
Maths in "C:\java\maths> "
so that... even if a package wishing to call it is not in the tier bellow, it still refferences it.
Additionaly, when creating a package, can it be created with a full file path? I am still having problems with accessing classes in the same package.
Any ideas?

in the tier bellow, it still refferences it.You just need to make sure you include the parent directory of the package, in the classpath. And that the actual class file resides in the appropriate subdirectory of that parent directory (follows the package name)

Why the metadata created with EM can't be found in JDeveloper

I created some dimensions and measures. then put them in a cube.And I created a measure folder and added the measures .
I do all the task with EM. And when I use JDeveloper to build a crosstable, only the demo measures and dimensions are in the available box . None of mine was there!
Any one can tell me if there any thing necessary I haven't done ?

You need to do 2 things:
- make sure you've applied the 9.2.0.4.1 Oracle patch
- run the cwm2_olap_metadata_refresh.mr_refresh stored proc. Make sure you're connected as OLAPSYS. You need to run this after any OLAP metadata change.

Create package with prompt from other application

Hi Experts!
I need to create a package in the planning application. In the screen selection I need some dimensions of my planning cube and one dimension of the Ownership application. I don't have any problem with the current application dimension, but I need to retrieve the members of INTCO dimension from Ownership because the user should make the selection. Is it possible to create a prompt from other application?

I create the package in Planning application:
PROMPT
(SELECTINPUT,,,"Selction members","%ENTITY_DIM%,%CATEGORY_DIM%,%TIME_DIM%,%CURRENCY_DIM%,INTCO")
When i try to select one member of INTCO dimension it appear the following message: "Dimension INTCO is not found". BPC is not finding this dimension because it pertain to another application.

Why does Lightroom say "file can not be found" but I can see the image?

I have uploaded pics from my Fujifilm XPro1 but some of them can not be moved, exported or developed(?) The image is there but I can't do anything to it.

Thanks very much. I found the missing images in another folder on my desktop although when I originally uploaded from the camera card they did not automatically upload to Lightroom as usual. I found another folder with icons came up as Lightroom and Lightroom2 with those images. When I opened it it automatically imported to Lightroom but now the Lr app only opens with that last download and my entire library of 2500+ images is empty!! and all of these new ones have "!” on the thumbnail. Now what have I done, if it was me?

[Solved] Recommend a package with pacman for "Command Not Found"

Is there a way to get Pacman to recommend a package name like in ubuntu, for example:
If I were to type in a terminal ifconfig and it said "Command not found"
Could Pacman recommend the package net-tools?

Why the "Change Package" in Transport Connection shows "Request/Tasks"?

We want to transport our custom InfoCubes from Developement environment to Test environment:

The last column is "Object Name". I wonder if the "Change Package" picture icon only lists all the request/task for the selected transport objects selected other than the packages we expect? Weird!

the 'normal' way has been explained by Roberto and Siggi.
if you still want change package screen in transport connection, it will go to package change/object directory entry screen after you mark the 'request/task' and click 'V'

A question about creating packages as local objects in ABAP

Hi,
I have a question about creating packages with SE80. Whenever I create a new package it is assigned a new transport request. After that, I can create new programs inside this package, and each time I can choose whether to assign the new program to a transport request or just save it as a local object (I often do this for test programs that I don't transport and I remove them once my tests have been done).
What I would like to ask is that, is it possible to create a package (and not just programs inside a given package) as a local object? so that every new object created in this package will be considered as a local object?

Newly created user packages with no admin rights

Hi all,
Have already opened a ticket with Novell on this one as i've never seen it before...
Have upgraded a site to ZFD7 SP1 IR2 using the iso's from the Novell site, so it's a full upgrade install, everything went perfectly on the server, consoleone snapins upgraded fine and all
however, if I try and create a user package with consoleone from the server, it hangs and never completes and I end up with packages with no rights for any users, so i'm unable to edit, delete or do anything with them
also tried using a workstation with IR4 snapins which gives the same result, using a spare consoleone with earlier zfd7 snapins I can create packages with no issues
Anyone run into this before and will we be able to get rid of these objects from the tree?
And are the IR4 snapins not compatable with IR2?

How to create package?

Hi All,
I'm new to ABAP and want to create a package for BAPI.
While creating package in SE80, I't shows a message
"cannot select component".
The details i'm filling in the package window creation are as given below:
Package:                     <package name>
Short Description:         <Description>
Application Component: BC-DWB
S/W Component:            HOME
Transport Layer:              SAP
Package Type:                Main Package

Go to TC Code : SE21
Ex : for creating a package:
Package : ZBAPI
Choose Create option
Then its asking about following deatails
Package : ZBAPI
Description: Give some descrion
Application Component: SD
Software Component: HOME
Transport Layer: SAP
Package TYPE: Not a main package
then save .
then continue.
By this procedure successfully package will be created .
Then Go to TC Code SWO1( for BAPI creation)
Object Type : ZBAPI1
choose Create
Then give the following values
Object Type:ZBAPI1
Object Name : ZBAPI1
Name::ZBAPI1
Description: Give some descrion
Program :zbapi_prog
Application: *   (Crossed Application)
Then contiue.
Its give a pop up asking for package name.
Package :ZBAP I   ( In SE21,Previously created package name )
Then Save
A pop up comes
Press continue.
Then
Utilitties ->API methods ->Add method
Give ur function module name
Then continue.
Then a pop appears
press " >"
press ">"
then yes
A method will be created.
double click on that method
select ABAP tab
Choose API function.
then
EDit->Change in release status->Object type->modeled.
EDit->Change in release status->Object type->implemented.
EDit->Change in release status->Object type->released.
EDit->Change in release status->Object type componenet ->modeled.
EDit->Change in release status->Object type componenet ->implemented.
EDit->Change in release status->Object type componenet ->released.
Two pop ups comes press yes .
Click on Generate Button
Successfully BAPI will be created
for check this go for TC code BAPI
choose alphabetic order
check ur bapi name is there or not.
For testing ur bapi
Go to SE21
place ur bapi name and press execute
give ur fields content and press execute
you will find some entries there.

None of any script will help u. Followings are the steps to create manually database
Assume you have selected f drive for the same -
1. Choose drive with sufficient disk space
2. create folder (folder_name)
3. create bdump,cdump,oradata,pfile folder in (folder_name) folder
4. open notepad and create pfile as named "init_sidname.ora" with required parameters (check parameters in sample pfile or ask to resend
5. go to os prompt
6. type commands
oradim -new -sid init_sidname.ora -startmode m -pfile (path of init_sidname.ora file with filename)
orapwd file=f:\oracle\ora92\database\pwd_nameoffile.ora password=sysdba entries=3
create a sql script to create database with extention .sql
set oracle_sid=sid_name
sqlplus /nologsql>connect sys as sysdba
password : sysdba
sql> create spfile from pfile=(path of pfile)
(it will create spfile in database folder of ora92 folder)
sql> startup nomount
sql> execute catalog.sql and catproc.sql scripts
your database will be create and can be checked with select commands like
select * from dba_datafiles;

Why i can't create PDF with right format by LiveCycle?

Hello,
As we know that PDF format has four sections, the header, object body, cross-reference table and trailer.
But after I create a PDF by Adobe LiveCycle, and open it by UltraEdit or Notepad, I cannot find the cross-reference table and some objects, “trailer” word either .
I try to download several PDF files by follow link:

and open them as the same way as before, it was the normal format I learn.
So, why my PDF is not the right format? And how can I create PDF with right format?

Adobe LiveCycle Designer makes XFA forms - a thin PDF wrapper around XML, no useful PDF page objects. Still, they are valid PDF. Like any PDF, you might not find a trailer or xref if a cross reference stream is used. See ISO 3200-1 7.5.8 "Cross-Reference Streams".
