Why dbconsole won't start with emctl in Windows 7

SYSTEM information : windows 7 ultimate WITH Oracle DATABASE 11gR2
I'm connected with a windows user that reside in ora_dba and administrator groups
I execute all commands with "run as administrator"
'administrator' is also in ora_dba group
after installing oracle software I executed dbca to create a new database, but after the creation dbconsole won't run!
emctl start dbconsole gives me An instance of Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control is already runningand the service 'oracleDbConsoleorcl' is not started, when I start it mannually it gives me windows could not start the service in local computer
so now I know that this errors is caused by a running process, it's the 'java.exe : 5520', I kill it and try to start dbconsole again:
emctl start dbconsole it gives meThe OracleDBConsoleorcl service could not be started
A service specific error occurred: 2.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.
and of course the result of >NET HELPMSG 3547 is A service specific error occurred: *** :/
so I tried to recreate the repository but after the creation (successful) the result is the same errors when I want start dbconsole :
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreateYou have specified the following settings

  • SatelliteU300 Won't start with AC power connected and fully charged battery

I just bought a U300-13U. It works great when battery is charging and AC is connected. However if left to charge up fully it won't start with AC connected. Unpluging the power or removing the battery and running on AC makes it work fine. Is this a 'feature' to stop overcharging or overheating the battery, or just a problem with this machine. I want to run with AC and battery both connected all the time as I have done with all my other laptops.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hello Andy
Friend of mine has this small U300 and everything work well. I have had it few weeks ago to test WXp installation and it works perfectly.
Please test it again very carefully and if the same happen again I recommend you to contact Authorized service partner in your country. Let them check your notebook. I must be honest and say that described issue sounds strange to me and please do not wait too long. Contact service as soon as possible.
    Bye and good luck!

  • My PC won't start with only one push of the start button.

hi guys my pc won't start with only one push of the start button. It takes me 1 to 10 pushes for it to start. I encountered this main bios error once when my pc started but it fixed on its own. What could be the problem?

    Hi
The problem can be fixed by running a latest BIOS Update on your unit or if it is a mechanical issue it could be the power button itself.. you can call HP tech support if the notebook is still in warranty.. they'll be able to help you.
    Hope this helps.

  • Computer won't start with battery in it...

have an Aluminum 15" Powerbook G4. I have had this since 2001, when I bought it. I recently updated to OSX. I hadn't used the computer in months and when I went to try and take care of the computer and update to OS 10.4.5 I encountered a problem. When I turned it on nothing happened. I had to turn it off, hit the reset button and then plug in the computer. THe battery was dead so I expected that. But what happened next puzzled me and still does puzzle me.
I managed to get the computer on by holding in the power button. I heard the familiar start up sound(the sound splash if you will) and when that ended I heard this incredibly loud, white noise coming from my speaker. The noise occured about four times. I was in the room with my wife and mother and they both looked at me like 'what the heck was that?"
Now I thought maybe this was an issue with my one battery so I uncovered my second battery and the same thing happened. It won't start up with a battery in there. I took the battery out and found that when it seemed to turn on just fine, I managed to get online and run a complete update. When it came time for the software required restart the computer started up and didn't make any noise at all.
I guess I don't know what to do now. I ran the diagnostics on the computer, from the disk utility and it seemed to come up clean. I don't mind not having the battery in the computer but I don't always want to fix the date and time and the like.
    THis is why I'm posting.
I also noticed tonight, when I was charging up the battery that I had to stop and take it with me someplace. When I went to turn it back on, with the battery in and it plugged in the noise came back on and I had to fix the date and time again.
Thanks to those who post, I really appreciate it.

not sure if this will solve your problem but you can try..
look at the battery exchange program if your battery is eligable for the replacement or take it to the local dealer so they can check if your board sound is ok.

My computer won't startup or restart with the nano connected to the USB port. It just hangs on the startup screen. I have the same (or similar) problem with an iPod Video 30GB, and have found a solution. It is not a boot order problem. I've just posted the following as feedback to http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93953
There is also another reason why a PC may not start with an iPod connected. It is also related to USB, but is a different problem, and there are different work-arounds available.
Problem: PC will not POST or boot with iPod connected to a USB port
    Description:
With an iPod connected to any USB port, the PC will not pass power-on self test (POST), and does not attempt to boot. It remains completely unresponsive to anything except a hard power-off; in particular it is impossible to reach the BIOS configuration screen. This is not a problem with the boot order: the internal disk is first in the boot order, and in any case, POST is not passed and so booting is not attempted.
With the iPod disconnected, the PC boots normally, and if the iPod is plugged in later, the iPod and iTunes function normally.
    Solution: either:
    1. Disable "USB legacy mouse support" and "USB keyboard and legacy support" in BIOS. Disabling legacy USB mouse support stops a USB mouse being used by BIOS and DOS programs, which is not usually a problem. Disabling "USB keyboard and legacy support" will prevent a USB keyboard from being used at all, which is a potentially serious problem.
    2. Boot with the iPod disconnected.
System details: a PC based on the ASUS A7N8X v2.0 motherboard running BIOS version 1008. It has a USB mouse, PS/2-compatible keyboard, and a USB-connected printer and scanner as well as the iPod.
    Comments:
This is not necessarily a bug with the iPod, but may be. There are three possibilities:
    1. There is a bug with the BIOS implementation of USB keyboard and mouse support
    2. There is a bug with the way the iPod responds when the BIOS is looking for USB keyboards and mice.
    3. There is a bug in the USB spec itself.

  • Satellite Pro 460 won't start with new hard drive in

I recently got a Satellite Pro 460 but it had no hard drive in.
It starts great with no drive in but as soon as I put a brand new hard drive in it won't start.
I thought that it might be to new a hard drive so I took my old working drive out my old Toshiba Satellite and still it won't start.
Any one got any ideas why this is and what can i do about it

It sounds like 80GB is too large for that model, I really doubt the BIOS and Chipset can support more than 8GB HDD. 8GB may not even work.
Here is some information regarding different HDD modes and limitations: http://www.adminxp.com/hardware/index.php?aid=129
504MB - limitation where the system is limited by the compatibility with the values of the BIOS system and the ATA interface by help of using the CHS mode. This limitation is valid for older computers 286/386/486. (1024 cyl 16 heads x 63sectors/track x 512 = 528,482,304bytes - 504 MB). In many cases special programs will help (Disk Ontrack Manager - Seagate, Disk Wizard - WD). Some operating systems can have problems with this software support and can have higher requirements on your knowledge of the OS and used programs.
2GB - Limitation of the maximal value of the FAT16 file system partition for DOS and Windows 9x. Some older computers cannot address more than 4095 cylinders (4,095 x 16 x 63x 512 - 2,113,413,120 bytes)
4GB Limitation of Windows NT - Partition with the FAT16 system cannot be higher than 4GB - Fdisk cannot be used for creating, but the Disk manager is used (Disk management in Windows 2000)
8GB - Limitation of the BIOS system. For the support of larger capacities you need extended functions of the BIOS system. Limitations valid for the x86 computers and some motherboards with Pentium and Pentium II processors. Some other operating systems must know how to use the extended BIOS functions (Extended Interrupt 13). We can use Windows NT 4.0 as an example where you need an updated disk driver or the Service Pack. (OS - DOS 6.xx and lower, Windows 3.x and lower and some other older OS do not have the support of the Ext. Int13).
8 GB - Limitation of the FDISK program in the DOS 6.22 OS.
?? GB - Possible problem with disks larger than 67GB under Windows 9x... See article WD800
    32GB - (65535 x 16 x 63 x 512 - 33,822,351,360 bytes) other limitation of the BIOS system.
68GB - Possible problem with disks larger than 67GB under Windows 9x... See article WD800
137GB - Limit for the ATA specifications (28-bit addressing for particular sectors - 268435455 sectors - 137,438,952,960 bytes)
2,2 TBytes - 32-bit addressing used by new operating systems (in Windows 98 by help of the FAT32 file system).
144 PetaBytes - a limit for new ATA specification using 48-bit addressing, in peparation. Maxtor, Microsoft, VIA, Compaq and other companies under name Big Drives participate the development. The standard should be implemented and authorized by the ANSI NCITS T13 Technical Committee organization (www.t13.org) in the prepared ATA/ATAPI-6 standard (see www.maxtor.com/bigdrive)

  • [Solved] Audition won't start with [...\Preferences.cpp-253] error on windows 7/vista x64.

Hi! You have really nice support for Audition - 3 pages of problems here and no solution. Just kidding
So i've decided to help those poor users, that encounter the following problem (it may (or may not) arise after installing Adobe CS* with Audition already installed on the system)):
Adobe Audition crashes at start with the following error:
    [\premiere2.0\Backend\Src\Core\Preferences.cpp-253]
After applying the Windows XP compatibility mode error chages to:
Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check your device settings.
    Then it crashes like before.
Uninstalling Adobe Premiere won't help, by the way.
This problem is somehow related to the audition_settings.xml file in the Data folder and deleting this file solves the problem. You can aslo delete the whole folder - it will be created again on a next Adobe Audition start. Here is the path:
    C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\3.0\audition_settings.xml
Some technical data on my system:
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 (don't be confused - it is in every way identical to Windows 7 x64, at least for Adobe products). I have a strong feeling that Vista x64 users may encounter that too.
    Installed Adobe products:
    1. Adobe Audition
    2. Adobe Master Suite CS5 (without premier)
    3. Adobe Acrobat X
I hope that my post will help you solve the error in the next release!

  • Hp pavillion dv9700 won't start with Ac adapter plugged in

    Dear all,
I have a 3 year old hp pavillion dv9700. The problem is that the computer won't turn on when i remove the batteries and leave the Ac adapter plugged in. The led that indicates that the adapter is plugged in is on, so that means that the adapter is working fine. But to be sure, I used another Ac adapter from another dv9700.
The next thought I had that the problem might be the Ac jacket( that is connected to the motherboard ). So I dismantled 2 dv9700 laptops (one is mine, the otherone from a friend, which is by the way working fine), and toke out the Ac jacket from the laptop that was working oke and replaced it with mine(whIch wasn't booting with the Ac adapter). And still the same problem. So now I am able to say that there is something wrong with thE motherboard.
When ever I plug in a battery that is not empty, the laptop starts up normally. The other thing that noticed is that whenever I plug in the battery the led of the Ac jacket turns on (not full bright, but somewhat dimmed). This doesn't happen normally. That means that there is somewhere a short circuit on the motherboard.
I have looked all over the internet, but wasn't able to find someone who had the same problem as me, or a solution for it.
Ps. It has nothing to do with the video card, because if that was the case, it wouldn't even start with the batteries.
    Already thanks, kdeo2k

  • IMac won't start with Thunderbolt Display connected after firmware update

After updating my thunderbolt display firmware to version 1.2 this morning via the App Store, my mid-2014 iMac won't start up with the external display connected.  I can get the iMac to start up only by disconnecting the display's thunderbolt connector. After the iMac comes up, I can reconnect the display and everything appears to function normally.  I've tried several restarts and the iMac won't start up with the display connected.  Anyone else experience this?

I am using an ultra wide monitor of LG (29um65), and installed windows 7 on my mac, by using VMware Fusion. But the software won't work of LG. It won't start. LG can't help me, because normally the software is working by using windows 7 on a windows pc. I got it also working on a  mac , when I used other virtual software as Virtualbox VM, but it seems not to work with vmware fusion 7. Can somebody help me with this problem?

yes, I think you are right, but I used virtual box in the past, and had no problem with the LG software, so it has also to do wit VMWare Fusion I think.

  • Firefox 3.6.3 won't start with a particular file:///

I can do {"c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" file:///n:\911c\OwenShow\helphtm\ohelpfrm.htm} but I can't do the same thing in a windows exec; firefox runs and hangs-up in the background. I assume this is FF's problem because when I run firefox again after killing it, the file appears correctly; or if I run firefox, and then try the exact same exec process, it works (i.e., in a 2nd tab). And I think closing "Firefox won't start after update 3.6.3 downloads and installs" was ridiculous, since the supposed solution ENDED WITH A QUESTION and WAS NOT a solution. j.g. owen * email: [email protected] * web: http://owenlabs.org
