Why did 3.0.4 change synchronized file destinations?

Have both Facebook and PhotoBucket accounts.
In 3.0.2 pictures and photos were store at:
• /media/internal/.photoApp/com.palm.facebook/UserName
There were sub folders for the folders saved on the Facebook account.
• /media/internal/.photoApp/com.palm.photobucket/UserName
There were sub folders for the folders saved on the PhotoBucket account.
Since 3.0.4 there were only the older photos like those stored above, yet duplicates and newer pictures and folder propagated over to:
• /media/internal/.photoApp/Generated
Under this folder were 3,507 files at 107MB with no folders - just rather long file names.
After deleting the old pictures and folders - the entire pathing set of folders (to prevent duplicates and wasted storage space) the paths recreated themselves below only having the UserName's folder - no other folders are underneath anymore...

• /media/internal/.photoApp/com.palm.photobucket/UserName

On my computer '''F10''' key will show Menu bar, but is not permanent.
You must then select:
View > Toolbars > Menu Bar
If the firefox top Titlebar is also missing, you can get it back.
Title bar, which is hidden by default in Firefox 29+ versions.

Correct. When you purchase devices, they would have stated the OS they needed to work, on the box. This can be overlooked, but it is very important to check when purchasing.
You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

Why did I have to enable Windows File Sharing to share files between two Mavericks iMacs?

File Sharing failed between my Mavericks iMacs. The console logs showed that the target iMac saw the ntlmv2 protocol as unknown to the kdc. I fixed it by enabling Windows File Sharing on the target Mavericks iMac. I had tried disabling SMB on both iMacs and leaving AFP on, but then nothing happened when I tried to connect. Why did I have to enable Windows File Sharing to share files between two Mavericks iMacs?

When you enable file sharing you need to have either SMB (Windows) or AFP (historically Apple-native) file sharing checked. The default in Mavericks is SMB, and not AFP.
If you uncheck both, then the system will turn off file sharing. Apple supports the use of both SMB and AFP connections in Mavericks, so with only AFP enabled you should have been able to establish a connection, but there could be a small bug or configuration-specific snafu that you're encountering.
With AFP enabled only, try pressing Command-K in the Finder to open the Connect To Server dialogue, and in here enter the address to the system using afp:// as the protocol, such as the following (the name can be looked up in the Sharing system preferences):
afp://my_imac.local

Why did you have to change the layout of Firefox?

I would like to know why you have gone and changed the layout of Firefox?
I am still on Fx 3.6.18 because quite frankly 5.0.1 looks horrible.
Why did you have to change everything and move things around. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new upgrades.
I will never download Fx5. 3.6 was perfect.
Also how can I contact Fx without upgrading?

Sorry the old Feedback page - Hendrix - used with older versions of Firefox was disabled near the end of 2010.
In Firefox 4+ versions there's a Help > Submit Feedback... menu item which leads here: http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback <br />
But you can't submit feedback there with an older version of Firefox, currently you need Firefox 5.0 or higher.
The decision to change the GUI was made by Mozilla collectively, not by a small group of developers or by one person. If you put your efforts toward customizing Firefox to suit your tastes, it would be a lot more productive than trying to find out who to blame and where to complain about the changes made to Firefox. Geez dude, it ain't the end of the world. It's only a web browser, which can be easily modified to make it look like you thing it should look.

Why did my base station change names?

For the last 3 years my network had two names. NicTonTimCap and NicTon guest. I wake up this morning to see flashing Amber light and can only find Harry's WiFi Network. The same password worked but why did this happen?

When you open the airport utility go to the wireless tab.. has the name actually changed for wireless..
If so this might all be part of the way Apple is trying to help you automate file transfers by a strange peer to peer process.. although how it can self setup the airport is a mystery..
I would put it down to a fresh bug in Yosemite.. reset the network names to what YOU want.. if it happens again and you have applecare then ring apple to see if they have some new functionality in Yosemite that automatically changes names of the wireless network.
I presume your computer name is Harry (or some part thereof).

Why did ISO 7.1.1 change the feature where you could use four fingers to close an app and see if he other apps on your home screen as you were closing an app. This was the handiest feature I thought because I could partially close the app I was working in and see the date or other things on my home screen and then released the four finger position and be right back to the app I'm working in. Please change this in the next update back to the way it was!!!!!

Why did the Share dialogue change from display in a frame to not displayed in a frame

SharePoint 2013 via TFS install package which installed SharePoint Central Administration v4 and a default SharePoint team site. This is my system:
When I initially started working with my default SharePoint Team Site (SharePoint - 80) and clicked on SHARE, I was able to see the Share dialogue in a
popup frame. I added a single user to the site. I also stopped the site in order to start the Default Web site; I had to do that because I guess both sites are default installed
with the same port number. Then I stopped the Default Web site and restarted the default SharePoint Team Site. I have no idea if these steps are related, I just thought I should mention them.
I later noticed that the Share dialogue no longer appears in a pop-up. Instead I get the following:
Why did this change? Can I change it back? (It's not important to me to change back, I just want to know if I can). If not, why not?
I also notice that this dialogue in a new window behaves oddly. After I add a group or user and click Share, the new window returns to a blank page. I have to close that page and reopen the Share dialogue to add another entity. Is this
normal?

if you can recreate the issue. check what you see in event log and ULS logs.

Why did my object referance change?

Hello,
I dont know why, but my object referance changed from: form1.JustAfield to xfa.resolveNode("template[0].form1[0].JustAfield[0]")
In the hierarchy window I cant find this "template" object and all my scripts stopped working because of this reference issue.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Hopefully you've figured out a workaround by now, but if not, did you try going into the XML and manually changing that reference back to form1.JustAfield?

Why did my Linksys router change the password?????????????

I've got a WRT610N router. Earlier today I had to shut the power down on everything. When I brought it back up, it looks as though it changed the SSID that it broadcasts for both the 2.6 and the 5 GHz band.
Why did it do that???????

If you press the "WiFI" button on your Router, it will create a new Wireless Network Name and change the Security Key also. Good to know that problem is been solved. Enjoy

Why did Canon sell out for MOV files?

Man, I hate, hate, hate MOV files. With Canon being the #1 digital camera in the world, why on earth did they sell out and use MOV files for their HD video on their DSLR's.
Like really. AVI is the world standard, so easy to work with. MOV files to convert to AVI means you loose something in the process. I just wish Canon didn't sell out.

You misread my statements regarding what I'm implying...I think Canon made their own point when they stated that they intended the 5D as a professional stills camera with an interesting video feature.
To my point, and to Canon's point (again, as they have stated)...when they invented the 5D, they weren't shopping it around to the production houses as "the new digital cinema camera" to replace the standard ARRI or Panavision cameras.
I know all about the episode of "House" shot with the 5D. How could I not? Of course, nobody wants to ponder why they didn't shoot more than one episode with the 5D if it was the better choice in terms of price, workflow, technology or visual accuracy. Or, why is it that more shows have not followed suite? There have been a few, but everytime I ask people to give me examples, somehow I always get the same one ("that episode of 'House' from last year"). There are some good TV shows, and a few short scenes in major motion pictures, that were shot with the 5D. It's just that the only thing ever put out there as a showcase piece is that one episode of "House" and nothing more.
Really off the point, but as I said before, it wasn't Canon's "intention" to market the 5D or the 7D as a video camera when they built it. That was a happy accident.
Of course Canon targets professional video producers now, and I could neither imply or fully declare anything to the contrary without being easily rebutted. Again, just to clarify, we are talking again about the difference between the original intentions of the Canon engineers when the camera was built, versus the adapted marketplace strategy once a new use was discovered for the video function on the DSLRs.
I just used a chair as a stepstool to change a lightbulb, and I'm sure while the manufacturer appreciates that I've found additional uses for the hardware, they probably would still admit there are certain drawbacks, and that a fully-engineered stepladder has much to offer that a chair can't really provide in the original design spec. Likewise, while I can sit on my stepladder, it's not nearly as comfortable as the padded cushion on the chair.
That's the 5D...very capable, and sometimes the best tool for the job, but it wasn't built to be a video camera and so it has certain limitations that are all more than well known at this point. Video cameras, which have multiple tools for the standard video production environment, lack the same lens selection and image characteristics that have made the DSLRs such a popular option at a reasonable price point.
You can create a whole rig around a Canon 5D to get it to more or less OPERATE like a video camera, but there's a cost there anyway and some of the better rigs are downright expensive once you build out. Likewise, you can get a good lens adapter for most video cameras to gain some of that DOF and image that the DSLR offers, while maintaining all the "video" controls like built in ND filters, waveform/vectorscope, zoom rockers, auto focus, zebras, whatever...you get the idea.
BACK to the original post, you can probably bet that if Canon can work it out, they will find a way to streamline the video recording on the next generation of video-capable DSLRs and that may or may not include the Quicktime/MOV file garbage, but it's certainly a complaint they are aware of for now.

Why did Photoshop CS5 quit opening .pic files?

I have Photoshop CS5 installed on an iMac 10.6.5. I opened a .pic file. A few minutes later I installed the optional plugins. I restarted Photoshop CS5 but it will no longer open .pic files. If I change the name of the file by adding a t, .pict, it opens. What happened?

Maybe so. But ten years ago, extensions were not critical on the Mac at all. Even files without extension suffixes opened without further ado.
Also, at what point did Apple stop looking at the creator of the files? That has been another headache—which could make a difference in your case.

Why did a desktop folder change names after restart?

I have a MacBook Air, 2011. I just restarted it, and one of my two folders I have on my desktop now has a different name. I did not change it and I live alone. What is going on?

Also, this is showing I have Mavericks, but I updated to Yosemite, so I don't know why it is showing OS X Mavericks (10.9.5).

If you moved or deleted the photo it will default to a stock image.

The name on a network? There still may be a session still connected on the router that never got released. You can reset the router and should restore things back.
