Why did Hulu plus go to web only so my iPad app ceased to access content?

While watching Hulu plus today, the entire site changed. Nearly all content is now web only, meaning the app is now useless. In addition the web site requires adobe flash which the iPad doesn't support. Does anyone know what is going on?

You'll have to ask Hulu. I'm going to bet it a licensing or money driven change but only Hulu can tell you for sure.

They are only free via the account orginally purchased or if they came pre installed on the computer. Depending on what you have purchased already us the one account for the app store - saves headace and hassel in the future thus not double buying software. Do you have iwork installed on your imac? meaning the iwork 09? if you do your should be able to to to the store and update it. Worked fine for me since i bought the DVD version of iwork 09 and Aperture 3. I did not want to have to rebuy them so the app store noticed i had them installed and changed the update via the app store.

Why did Apple make iTunes 7 look like a Windows XP App.? This version of iTunes doesn't even look like it belongs in OSX. It's ugly is about the only way I can put it. I can't figgure out why they removed the EQ icon and didn't even assign a key command for it. Now yoy have to go into the menu to select it. Also I have noticed that it sometimes downloads the wrong artwork for album covers. The old version of iTunes seemed much better and I have reverted back to it untill Apple fixes the problems with version 7 and makes it look like part of the OSX family of applications.

Well I wouldn't say it was ugly but some changes do leave something to be desired.
I certainly aggree about the equaliser button and the visualiser button has gone too but at least they assigned a key command for it. The scrollbars need more colour and I'd prefer the buttons at the bottom to stand out a bit more like the ones at the top.
I see no reason to go back to iT6 though, especially as I would misss Cover Flow. You could have a long wait for a change of interface and in the meantime you miss out on the good parts of iT7. If your track information is correct and identical to that on the Store then it shouldn't get the wrong artwork. Luckily I already had most of my album covers in place from other sources such as Amazon and just used iTunes to get a few more. My only complaint about the Get Album Artwork feature is that it's getting it from the US store when I want it from the UK store.
Anyway these forums are really here to enable users to help each other solve problems and not to discuss Apple's decisions. If there are things you want changing then do what I and others do and send constructive criticisms and requests via the link below, if you haven't already.

Why did ISO 7.1.1 change the feature where you could use four fingers to close an app and see if he other apps on your home screen as you were closing an app. This was the handiest feature I thought because I could partially close the app I was working in and see the date or other things on my home screen and then released the four finger position and be right back to the app I'm working in. Please change this in the next update back to the way it was!!!!!

I have an Apple TV MD199LL/A I purchased 11/20/12. It died sometime this month. I have run all the diagnostics, swapped out cords, hooked up to my Mac to try and restore--nothing works. I know it is the unit because I moved my other identical device to this room using all the hookups from the other device and it works fine. When I say dead, I mean no indicator lights, nothing--also iTunes does not even acknowledge the device when hooked up to the computer. Is the lifespan on this device only 14 months?

Bad luck I'd say - assume you've tried a different power cord in case a fuse has blown?
The original AppleTVs, of which I still have several, got very hot and I think that contributed to many of them failing within a few years.
The new black models have much lower power consumption, only just get warm and in theory should last much longer than devicesusing hard drives.
That said a small percentage of any product will fail in or just out of warranty - most don't, so probably as I say just the luck of the draw.

You can change the settings in Security & Privacy to "Anywhere"...
That should work... as to whether the printer driver will work, that's another question.

Where did you get this iPad from? Sounds like it's running a beta version of iOS (presently iOS 8). Connect it to iTunes on a computer and restore it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

Without you giving us a specific example all we can do is speculate. Some sites are coded using absolute layout and formatting. Some sites are coded using relative layout and formatting. I speculate that the site you are posting about uses absolute layout and formatting so that the size and format can not be changed. This ensures that the page always displays like the owner wants it displayed.

If we can run a free app such as ABC Player wondering why no Hulu Plus - Id rather watch that over the pathetic Netfix account I am sadly paying for. If Netflix doesnt start getting some actual content they are on my list to cancel.

Hulu Plus isn't available on the ATV because there is no agreement between them and Apple. Hulu also blocks its video from Google TV, so the ATV isn't the only player without it.
In any case, there are rumors that Hulu may be dismantled after Comcast takes over NBC Universal later this month, primarily because Hulu Plus reportedly doesn't have a significant number of subscribers, so fretting over not having it on the ATV is probably pointless.

You cannot download the original YouTube app. There is an iPhone version in the App Store but its not the same. Google is reportedly working on an iPad YouTube app.

AppStore only shows iPad apps in the category lists

In the iTunes appstore, if I go to any of the categories, such as 'navigation' it only shows me iPad apps. I don't have an iPad and would rather see some iPhone apps!
I can't find any settings to change this.

OK, I've solved this. If you go to the US store there are "iPad" and "iPhone" buttons at the top of the store, whereas the UK store currently doesn't so you can't switch to "iPhone".
I fixed this by going to the US store, selecting iPhone and then returning to the UK store.

OK....First,you are right, OS 5 has the 11 page limit....you must create folders of Apps until you get below 11 pages of combined folders and apps...NOTE.....the upgrade to OS 5 killed all of my old folders and folder organizations...this may be an issue for all????.....I have over 300 apps so when the old folders went away...I was left with 20 plus pages....only 11 visible....It took me awhile to find out what happened....Since I have 64G it seems that 11 visible pages is a silly limit since the apps are on the machine...

This is either a Phone issue or an Electrical issue in your home.! when charging Do you always use the same electrical outlet? or did you try others..
You will know or should know if there are any issues with your other Electronics.. that you Plug into it..
If it is the s5 which it sounds like it could be then the Local Verizon store at there Discretion will determined if replacement is needed you have a 1 year Manufactures Warranty that covers for things like what your Describing I would take it too your local store see if they'll get you a Replacement or you may have to go through Samsung..
