The youTube App is gone because Apple's license to use it has expired.
YouTube is still accessible on the iPad via Safari (or any other browser) at http://m.youtube.com/
Sign in at this site and your favorites, etc. will still be present. Save the site icon to the iPad Home screen and you will have a replacement for the youTube App.
There is also an iPhone youTube App in the App Store which works on the iPad as well as the Jasmine App.

Is there any other solution? Honestly, I would like to go back to iOS6. Every OS update just slows everything down, on every device. This modus operandi of apple's is getting really, really tiring.
Any tips on how I can sync my phone without further degrading my laptop's performance with an entirely needless OS update? Will smashing it with a hammer help?What OS do you have on the Mac?

If you have the older OS's in your App store account purchase history you could install them.
I'm afraid you don't have much choice now. iOS cannot be reverted, and iTunes 12 doesn't seem to run on 10.6 or earlier.
Contact the genius bar or Apple if you think they can help, but Apple prevent iOS being reverted, so I think you are out of luck, unless you have a warranty & can convince them to exchange it for a device on an older iOS version.

Why can't I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1? Every time I try it gets all the way done downloading it; however when it's processing the file the page tells me "There is a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. or try again later." and next to the file it has err = -3259. I have tried this 17 times and it won't work. My iTunes is completely up to date. I have made sure that my connection is fine and I have tried turning my firewall off with no avail. This has happened to me before but usually the update will go through after 2-3 tries, never to this extent. I don't know what to do. Help!

No idea. What exactly is it that you see when you connect to iTunes (provide complete text, please).
But, before doing that, bring both your iPad and your computer/iTunes combination back to a 'clean' configuration; on the iPad do a Reset, on the computer at a minimum log out and in of your user account (in OS X, or whatever the Windoze equivalent would be) or if you prefer just do a Restart. If any flags are incorrectly set anywhere that should set them back to their proper states and, if that happens, you'll be in business when you connect and will see the update available. -

If you have an iPad 1G you cannot run iOS 7. If you are currently using iOS 4.x.x then you cannot upgrade OTA. Instead do this:

I should have learnt from past exerience with BT that everything that could go wrong would go wrong! Despite my qualms and the fact that Sky were offering me a really good package deal, I nevertheless decided to stick with BT to handle my line transfer from one incoming line to another; mostly because the sales guy inferred that I might lose line speed if I went with someone else. Well, guess what, I not only lost line speed but the Broadband keeps dropping (not good when my son is in the middle of his X-box games) and I've also lost the BT Vision service. I've spent several hours speaking with a very pleasant guy in India, unplugged, plugged, unscrewed, re-screwed, moved and very nearly trashed just about every wire connection in the house....................and all this whilst suffering with a dislocated rib! So I say again.....

JNBecause iDVD is not longer supported or offered by Apple. So now you have to export any iPhoto slideshows at the large or medium size to your hard drive, place it where you will be storing QT movie files and then drag into an open iDVD project window being careful to avoid any drop zones in the menu window.
If you place the file in the Movies folder you can acces it and iPhoto photos via the Media pane in iDVD.
In iDVD follow this workflow to help ensure the best quality final product:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

I took photos on my iPhone on yesterday and they all saved. I looked at my photos the next day and they were still there. I took more photos and now none of the last photos that I took in the last two days are there. Why did they not save? Can I get them back? My storage was not full. I just updated my iPhone to ios 7.1 a few days before.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

The new iWork is a major major major major dissappointment. I'm so let down by Apple. Perhaps it was their goal to bolster 3rd parties like MS Office, cause that's what I was just forced to use again . . . .Now Apple really gave me another good definition of "There is no such a free lunch."
This new "free" iWork really cost me a terrible headache, huge time lost, and horrible frustration. No time to give Apple feedback because I am busy fixing all my iWork's files.
Upgrade should be adding new better features to what already exist. -

In the simplest sense, archiving a file means making a copy that you never change and never discard. You already know how to do that.
iPhoto has built-in archival features, in the sense that it saves all versions of an image that you've modified. As long as you have adequate backups, you don't necessarily have any reason to archive an iPhoto library. If you want to delete images from the working library but still have access to them in case you change your mind, then you do need to archive those images. I don't have a specific suggestion as to how you should do that. You might post a question in the iPhoto forum. -

I have an application that I want to run that is known to work well with iOS 5, but has troubles with iOS 6.
Knowing Apple, I assume they do not allow this. I have been told that jailbreaking is the only way (which I do not want to do).
Any ideas?You would have to find a signed copy of the .ipsw file, copy it to your computer and update your iPhone on your computer without going to the iTunes server. This is not supported by Apple as you well know and you have no guarantee that the copy of the .ipsw file you get has been corrupted, has malware, etc.
Knowing you, and how long you stayed with 3.0.1, I'm surprised you haven't looked for a different app that runs under iOS 4.
Maybe you should just wait until the developer fixes their app or iOS 6.1 is released. -

Photostream has gone including all photos (875), but the update notes from Apple never said they would go and be deleted.
Camera Roll - I had photos in there from 2012 and quite a few from 2013. They are not there and the only ones start from February 14 unto present.
I have restored using a backup from before updating to iOS 8 but they are not there. Not in collections or anything.
It is frustrating and disappointing. They are in my iPhoto on my Mac but thats not the point. -
Why did the latest update (31.1.2) delete database files for primary email account in profile?
After restarting TB to apply the 31.1.2 update, all of the database files for my primary email account were apparently deleted. Restarting TB again got it to start syncing with the IMAP server again, but it has to download around 100,000 messages again because of this. Was this a design decision or is there a problem with the update itself? And why did it only affect my primary email account and leave the other 4 (much smaller ones) unscathed?

Account5 is the one affected which is still attempting to sync. It also appears that my sync choices were altered without permission or notification. I always keep the Deleted folder and the POP subfolder from Hotmail accounts disabled since it is merely duplicating content in other folders. When re-checking the sync settings because it was taking so long, I found that the POP subfoler was selected for sync again.
The crash report is from a later TB crash, the first one ever on this system.
