Why did I get charged $37.17 for lion OS?

My theory is that because the original appleID wasn't an email, they're making you switch to it when you update to iOS5.  So that creates essentially a new appleID and it isn't recognized as the one that originally made all your purchases.  Sign out of the Store and then sign in using your old ID and it should do the trick.
The other alternative is to sync your apps rather than reinstalling them....if you can.  Hope the phone service helps.

    These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
    If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach.     Why did I get charged for the $100 gift card student deal that came with the macbook pro? I was told that it would be taken credited off my credit card however; that has not happened. Am I missing something? Have other people been charged for this as well?

    The same thing happened to me but it made sense.
    I ordered a MBPR on Jun 12 for $2879 which qualified for the free student gift card. The gift card was available to ship (delivers June 20 - June 21) but the MBPR wasn't available until a month later (deliverys July 3 - July 10). Instead of holding the gift card until the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $100 for the card then shipped it to me.
    About a month later when the MBPR was ready, Apple charged me $2779 then shipped it. In the end, I was charged the correct amount $2779 + $100 = $2879.
    Why did Apple do this? I suspect that some people have cheated Apple by ordering a Mac to get the promotional gift card then canceled their order after the gift card was spent. Apple is trying to protect itself.
    BTW, if you return the mac then you're expected to return the gift card. If you've spent any amount of the card then Apple will deduct this from your refund.

    Since I only have one AppleID and since I'm sitting at the computer showing the previously purchased songs, I'm guessing your third response is the accurate.  I logged onto iTunes Store and "reported a problem" with the two songs and am awating their reply.
    I'm guessing that it's something I did (or didn't do) when I downloaded the songs from iTunes Store to my iPhone.  I forgot to synch these two songs from my PC to my iPhone before travelling.  However, I noticed that the two songs were listed on my iPhone iTunes application in a playlist called "recently purchased."  I clicked on the two songs and they were downloaded to my iPhone (which I would expect); I then received an email receipt for the charges for the songs (which I didn't expect.)

        Oh, that's strange! Your bill should be due approximately the same time each month. It seems like this charge is referring to a bill that we didn't receive payment for last month. Make sure to check all charges at vzw.com and review all the payments were made.

    When ordering a product off BestBuy.com, typically you should see an initial authorization when you place the order for us to ensure there are sufficient funds. Then once the product ships, the authorization would become an actual charge to your method of payment. I looked into your order and confirmed the estimated arrival date of 12/05/2014, just as your email stated. It appears something may have been missed in updating the status of your order.

    Can someone help me get an answer I am trying to contact Adobe but I am not able to email someone to help me and now I am having to think about finding another company to do this for me that will give me the customer service that I need and not charge me when it says that I have unlimited conversions.  I am confused about this product and the online service that ADOBE have sold me.

    I have subscribed to AdobeExport PDF the annual subscription.  I paid $19.99 for it and now I am having $1 amount taken out of the mastercard by Adobe systems Dublin GBR who also took my annual subscription payment.  I did not authorise them to keep my mastercard details but I have seen on my adobe account that the subscription will automatically be renewed each year!  I did not read anything about being charged a dollar for each conversion.  I think it is a great product but I not not paying $1 for each conversion of PDF to word, when they said I have unlimited conversions.

    It has nothing to do with have more than one device using that account.
    After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.
    Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:
    Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
    Make sure that they are really the same app first.

    Btw, a simpler way to do this is to revert to older iTunes app, then hold Option when it launches and choose an older library.
