Without knowing all of the information we can only guess .... And my guess would be that you did not have the apps selected to sync from iTunes on your computer. If the apps are in iTunes on you computer, select them to sync and sync again.
Connect the iPad and sync again - if you auto sync. Then after the iPad syncs the first time - leave it connected to the computer and select the iPad from the left sidebar under the devices heading. Click on the Apps Tab in iTunes. Select each app (click on the boxes next to the names), then click on the Apply button in the lower right corner of iTunes. Make sure that the Sync Apps heading is checked as well.
If the apps are not in your iTunes library - if you had never transferred the purchases - you will have to download them again via the purchased tab in the App Store on your iPad. Make sure that you use the same ID to redownload the apps that you used to buy them with.

I just got my iphone and i want to get all my apps and music from my ipod onto my iphone. the only problem is that my itunes is not recognizing my iphone in the devices. in fact there are no devices at all listed. Please help!

If I unistall iTunes off my computer and reinstall it, will I loose everything in the iTunes library? All my apps and movies? Do I need to back them up first?

How do i get all my apps and music from my old laptop onto my new one?
Could someone help me please? You can use your backup to populate the iTunes library on your new computer. If you havn't bothered maintaining a backup then apps can be re-downloaded from the app store for free (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519), but media (music/films/tv shows) can only be downloaded once from iTunes (which is one reason why you are advised to make a backup). Purchases made on the iPhone can be transferred off it via File > Transfer Purchases. It's possible, if you do a search on google, that you might find utilities that can help you copy the contents of your iPhone.
You will also find a search box on the right hand side of this window where you can search for similar threads to yours, and which might have more info in them. -
Im planning on buying an Ipad. I already have an itunes account for my Ipod touch with a bunch of music, and apps. When i buy said ipad (and i connect it to my account) will all the apps/ music automatically download themselves or will i be able to choose the apps/ music that will go to the ipad?
You can choose which apps to install. App Store > Purchased > Not on This iPad.

After you get the stuff on the new computer, let iTunes erase the iPod and replace it contents with what is now in the iTunes library. All yu saved games and app date will be lost. -
I changed my primary email address because I could not access my old email and now my new iphone asks me to sign in to my old account in order to backup my apps and music from my icloud. when I try to sign in using my password it says it is the wrong password.
If you are only updating apps, that's normal Apps and other purchased media are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. You also don't back up apps or music to iCloud, the only thing backed up to iCloud is your app data, which is part of your iCloud backup by default.
Is your phone signed into the old ID in Settings>iCloud? -
My daughter reset her Mac book Pro to the factory settings by her doing this did we loose all the pictures and stuff that was on the computer before
If by resetting to factory settings you mean she erased the drive and reinstalled the operating system, OS X, then yes all data thatwas on it is gone. That is why apple included time machine so you can make backups of your data.

Use your backup copy of your old computer to put everything on your new computer, then sync the iphone to that comptuer.

Unless you transfer photos from another computer when doing so, the photos transferred from the other computer will not be touched.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not part of and not touched with the iTunes sync process.
