Why did Instagram appear under my MacBook Pro icon while using Airdrop?

Hi.
I had my iMac and MacBook Pro both setup to use iCloud to share Safari and Calendar. I was going to transfer a folder using Airdrop from my iMac to my MacBook Pro. In my MacBook Pro's Airdrop window, under the icon, it said others will see Jen's iMac. In my iMac's Airdrop window, under the icon, it said others will see Jen's MacBook Pro. But underneath Jen's MacBook Pro was the word Instagram. I've used Airdrop many times and have never had the word Instagram appear anywhere.
My only connection with Instagram is I did recently join on my iPad but I don't see how that would allow Instagram to have access to my MacBook Pro.
I didn't send the file until I could figure out how to remove the word Instagram. It disappeared when I turned iCloud off.
My question is why was the word Instagram underneath the Jen's MacBook Pro?

None of us knows why your screen turned black - it's the most serious form of crash, and yes, almost all the changes that you didn't save are lost.
An exception are the audio recordings - they should still sit in the project package of your song. Locate the project in the Finder, ctrl-click it and select "Show package content". The Media folder will contain all your recordings.

MacBook Pro Freezes while using more than two applications at the same time

Over the last two weeks my MBP has been freezing every time i use two or more applications at the same time. For e.g. my whole system freezes from time to time when i use itunes and safari at the same time. This problem never existed before and has just started recently and is really annoying. What can i do to fix it?

Rather than re-installing Safari have you tried simply "Resetting" it (head to "Reset safari" under the "Safari" menu). It is possible that something in your user folder that supports Safari is really the cause of the problem. Re-installing Safari won't deal with this, but re-setting it can.
In fact the first thing you should try is simply choosing "Empty cache..". If your cache files are corrupted then this in itself could explain the behaviour.
If you choose to do the Reset first try it with just "Empty cache" and "remove all website icons" selected. This will reduce the amount that you will "lose" in the process. (Cookies, history, etc). Add in additional options if the first attempt doesn't fix it.

If it is really not possible, I get it. But there are plenty of people that are running Windows 8 on the same model, that is powerfull enough to run Win 8. I'm actually running it, but until shut down or restart . Can't I edit Info.plst file alternative for Windows 8 like I did to allow BootCamp to image burn my USB on my model? I mean my model is same as the next one. I can't see why the drivers for mid 2010, won''t work on mine...

As reference, there have been MANY people who did the same as yourself, .....let it "dry" for a while,.....turned it on.... worked fine for a day or more, then whoops a glitch appear.
Dry doesnt = removal or residue. There are more dry residues that can damage electronics than I could list. Luckily milk is mostly water.......mostly.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.

Thanks for the reply.
I think you ave sorted my problem with your question. I thought that as my iTunes account was on their server (Cloud) and I had previously added CDs which showed up, that all my music was "on the cloud". I used to use Match but when I turned it off lost all my music that I had previously loaded onto my computer.
So I guess I have to use the cloud again to access my songs. This is frustrating as I fly a lot and can not use the music (Cloud based) when the phone is in flight mode as there is no internet.
So how then do I retrieve all my music to my iMac and have my laptop synced so they are the same?
I am totally confused now.

The CPU's come from different Intel 'families'. The older ones are 'Ivy Bridge' and the newer ones are 'Haswell'. Numbers alone will not determine the efficiency of CPU.

I had checked Finder Preferences to make sure everything was still checked, and it was. But as a result of your suggestion I decided to go back and uncheck them, relaunch Finder, restart my MacBook Pro, and re-check them. That didn't actually change anything, BUT, in moving my cursor around the sidebar I discovered there is a "show/hide" button to the right of the word Favorites which only shows up when you hover over it (a bad design imo) and I must have somehow clicked on it and pouf! All disappeared! So, thank you! I would not have discovered that absent your suggestion. All is now showing in my sidebar again.

The story I heard was that there wasn't enough volume of sales for Apple to expend the resources to develop the line further. When the 17" MBP line only accounted for 2-3% of the sales, it wasn't enough to offset the expense to engineer it, stock it, support it, etc. What they chose to do was to offer the retina display 15" MBP that supports the same resolution (and possibly higher) and at the same time reduce the number of models they have to support.
