Why did ios7 delete everything on my phone?
I recently updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.3 and once I plugged it into my PC, an option came up requiring that I update and restore it or cancel and I clicked update and restore and it said it would delete all media and I couldn`t cancel since my phone was locked into the update so I followed through. After I had access to my phone again I had to restart it and all my apps, pictures were deleted. Why is that and can I get my pictures back?

I upgraded itunes since a pop up stated that I would have to upgrade it so it can recognize my iphone5's new software. You are correct. Corrupted files are in the backup. If you've already restored the iPhone it has been erased and starting over is the way to go in order to eliminate the corrupted files.

Check for 'others' in iTunes against your iPhone.
Restore from a previous backup to reclaim some of it.

So a while ago when I got my phone I started a new Apple ID account/ iCloud.. Then when my sister got a new iphone I gave her my id to use too. In settings-general-usage it says that my storage is almost full. I then click on manage storage and it shows my phone and my sisters phone and how many gb or whatever. Also it says "last backup failed" and other stuff that's Irrelevant. Now when I click on my sisters phone I have an option to "delete backup" MY QUESTION is if I click the delete backup button will it just delete the iCloud backup off my phone OR will it totally delete everything involving the backup off my sisters phone forever??? Please help! Thank you so much!!!!!
Deleting a backup deletes the backup only from the iCloud storage, not anything on the iPhone.
The iPhone's iCloud backup will be updated at some point - automatically when the iPhone is connected to an available wi-fi network while connected to a power source unless the iCloud backup is turned off on the iPhone. -

The last step in the update process is a restore from the backup created as the first part of the update process.
Most likely, the update was not allowed to complete and therefore the restore did not happen.
Simply connect the device to the computer and restore from backup. -

So when I go to do that, I get a popup that says that by syncing I will replace everything on my phone with the data from my iTunes. I have like, nothing in my iTunes. Just music. So it will essentially take everything on my phone and replace it with nothingness from my iTunes. What am I doing wrong?

Apple, why did you delete multi touch gestures for iPad in iOS5?
I have to say that this is a bit of a kick in the teeth. We spend all this money on Apple products, expecting software updates to add the he functionality of these devises - not to have really cool functions taken away... Why would you take this away? If it is a performance issue at least give people the option to turn it on or off.
Bring it back please in 5.0.1... Oh and fix all the bugs that had me deleting apple apps like 'find my phone' and reinstalling them from the app store...Apple never included multitouch gestures in a consumer release of iOS before 5. You had to use developer tools to get them. So, from their standpoint, they never gave it to you in the first place. But, at any rate, you're not addressing Apple here. I was downloading photos and accidentally unplugged my phone. I have never backed the phone up now it is prompting me to restore without any opportunity to back up. I have tried shutting down the phone and the computer- but same old message....prompts to restore....any ideas....I don't want to lose my data...
Why would you not be syncing to your computer regularly?
If there is no backup, then you will likely lose everything.

Why did iTunes delete 2000 photos during Sync, even with 1 GB free space
I am having real headaches with Sync function in iPhone/iTunes. The 2 biggest problems concern Contacts and Photos.
Photos: I used to have 4465 photos on my iPhone, using 1.47 GB at a time when my iPhone still had 0.67 GB free capacity out of its 29.3 GB total. About a week ago, while syncing with iTunes, I saw the error message on my PC stating that there is not enough space on my iPhone to copy all photos. At the end of that sync, I was left with only 2072 photos using 0.78 GB, while the free capacity on my iPhone increased to 1.6 GB. I have synced at least 10 times since then to try and recover my photos, I have deleted the 2.4 GB photo cache, but exactly the same error message and issues happen. Please help get my photos back into my iPhone!!?
Contacts: my iPhone is the principal device on which I put new contacts or update existing ones. After syncing, sometimes I see that the new information entered into my iPhone is no longer there. And so I lose contact with people, since I have no other records! That’s really frustrating.
I have tried upgrading my iPhone software from current v4.02 to the latest v4.1, but for the 5 times that I have tried my WiFi has timed out, and so still not upgrade, as Murphy Law would have it!I guess I should have included a little more info:
1. I only have 1 appleID
2. I only have 1 apple device (the one iphone, nothing else)
3. I only sync on one computer (VERY annoying you cant use more than 1!!)
4. I never have any other problems during syncing and don't change any settings
5. I downloaded the app again so it is back.
I am not asking how to get the app back, I just want to know WHY itunes deleted this app. This is the second or 3rd time it has happened and it is really annoying.
I also would like to get my files back. So again, I'd like to know why itunes deleted the app and if it deleted my files as well.
The most important part of this is to find out WHY this happened so that it wont happen again. It seems to be a pretty simple operation: Plug the iphone in, itunes opens and does a sync. It almost always works perfectly, I never change any settings. Yet every once in a while it deletes a newly installed app so obviously something is wrong. If I can find out what I did wrong, then I can avoid it in the future.

ok so after updating my phone and trying to log in after setting my 4 didgit passcode after multiple attempts the new ios 7 disabled my i phone i am very ****** off it did this and about to drive out to cali and ream them a new rear orifice for excrement!
could be. I haven't heard that cables stopped working just that you recieve a message on screen before they don't work. Not just out of the blue stopping. Did you get a pop-up message when you first plugged in the iphone after upgrading to ios7?
