If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

I have a problem with Imovie. Just brought an macbook 15 retina , iLife install and Imovie was working. I than did a data migration from my old macbook pro and now it crashes on start up. I tried to re-install from app store but no option to re-install, just installed and it greyed out.
Well, my two-month-old MBP has no qualms about booting from a no-name external USB HD I put together...
Given that is is a common point of failure, I would imagine a large Apple Store should keep a stock of HD's on hand.
Now since you're a bit desperate and the genie pops up til Saturday and you seem to be the enterprising kind, let's try an experiment: if you have room enough in the external HD and assuming it isn't a Time Machine volume, why don't you plug it in, stick the Install CD and see if the installer lets you select the external drive as the install target. If you can install Leopard on it, on top of the backup without reformatting, and the Mac can boot from the drive afterwards, at least you would have some functionality restored and would be able to pull your stuff from the internal HD. Apple says booting from USB drives is not supported but that does not equate to not possible; some brands do work. Risks? Always. You can always lose your backup. Like I said, a challenge for an enterprising gal....
Next time around, consider having a bootable external clone at hand for rainy days. I keep three myself...

Why we still dont have sound notifications on iPhone??? This started in September with the launch of the new IOS and iPhone 5... I've been waiting and waiting and still nothing... How hard can this be to fix????????
Hi guys... The notifications i'm speaking about are everything that happens on our facebook. The only exception where i get notifications is if someone actually use my name on a post, then i have a notification. Now, if it is a post on my wall, a comment on one of my photos or even a like, there is no sound or vibration at all.
Also, when i say "We" is bacause there are a few users complaining about the same. There are some other forums, specially on facebook about this. What happens is that facebook blocks some of those groups.
One more thing is i did try all possible things to make sure i was doing the right things in order to have notifications. Slider is obviously not in mute position, notifications sounds are on on facebook settings on main settings and also inside the app they are on. Did try to switch everything off and reboot then change again. Did restore the iPhone as new a couple of times. And like i said, if someone actually write my name i will have sound notification...

My Keyboard and Mouse Quit Working and Computer Slow to Boot Up
Last week my iMac wireless keyboard and mouse quit working. (Batteries are OK). That same morning the computer started taking a very long time - several minutes - to boot up. I've been using a wired keyboard and mouse but I'd rather get back to the wireless ones. The other discussions I've read all refer to Bluetooth but I don't find that on my computer. Help!! Thanks.

Go to Apple menu > Systems preferences > Internet & Wireless. There you will find bluetooth. Click on it and In the bottom right corner is a purple ?. Click on that to learn about setting up bluetooth.
Incidentally, batteries are often not okay (though you may think otherwise). The only batteries that are okay are top quality unused batteries. And even then you should check the contact points inside the mouse in case there is corrosion.

If the silent switch is off, no change after inserting and removing the earbuds or headset cable a number of times, and the same after restoring your iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup, your iPhone has a hardware problem.

Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings,says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. I came across forums where this issue is mentioned on apple support and cnet.
Is there another option apart from upgrading ?Well, in his defense, his parents bought him the player so I guess we can't blame him. Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV! I did the last software upgrade for iphoto, It goes thru a 9 step process. Mine is stock at step 5 99% complete. It has been that way for 1 week now. I have in excess of 62 k pictures. Program is not stock. Any advice?
force quit, Back up your iPhoto library, Depress the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library

I get a black screen on the camera app on my iPod touch? Is there a solution? Resetting only helped for a few days, the problem comes back.
Camera works, with the side buttons it takes pictures.
