Why did my Captivate 8 trial version end early?

Downloaded on 3/3/2015, used a few times, opened this morning, it said 24 days left for trial version. Had it open and worked in it for approx. 10.5 hours. Closed my file to work on some audio.  Realized I needed some info from my captivate file, tried to reopen it but it said 00 days in trial?  Now what?  I have a file I need to finish tonight to deliver to the client tomorrow.  Can anyone assist?

    I have installed Captivate 7 trial version. I double click the icon to launch, however nothing. I have restarted, and same thing. I did read something about launching from Flash drives, however I did not read further, as I intended to fully install on my MacBook Pro. It has an SSD. Is this the problem?
    I know this is a product I will buy, however I wanted to run through some tutorials first. Not much point in buying if it won't run on my hardware.

    I've been a Creative Cloud member for more than a year, so why, when I tried to upgrade Photoshop CS5.5 to PSCS6 did I get a trial version that Adobe now wants me to subscribe to for $29.99 in addition to the $49.99 I'm already paying?

    When you get the trial window, Click on Licence this Software. then enter the adobe id against which you have bought CC subscription.
    Now Sign In, this should get you working.

  • Captivate 6 Trial Version

    I had created/published a project in Captivate 6 trial version. Now the published file doesnot launch, it displays a expired message. The .cptx file still works the same though.
    I just wanted to know, if this is a bug or it is designed to be expired after the trial version gets expired????

    This is now a well-known issue.  A project created with a Trial version of Captivate 6 WILL expire, just as the trial will also expire.
    You need to open the project file in a fully licensed version of Captivate 6, go to Edit > Preferences > Project > Start and End, find the checkbox there for the expiry, and deselect it.  Then republish and deploy the project again.

    The text to speech functionality in Captivate only supports English at this moment.  More languages will come later but I don't know when Japanese will be available.

  • Adobe captivate 4, (Trial Version)

    I'm trying to install Captivate 4 (trial Version) and its stuck on "Adobe Captivate 4 Installer: Initialization 90%" At the bottom it says; "Checking System profile"
    I have tried most of the suggestions on the support page to no avail. Please help.

    Sorry for not answering over in the Forum Comments area. Many of the folks there are just plain rude with misdirected posts. It would have seemed simpler to have just moved your post where it should be, but I didn't wish to cause another blamestorm and confusion for folks that should know better. Thanks for understanding.
    Have you tried disconnecting from a network? I've seen reports of users that have issues trying to install while connected to the LAN. That one should be easy to try.
    You may also need to try installing after creating a new user profile.

    Why can't i use trial version to convert files to word?

    Symptom: I downloaded the trial of Acrobat Pro. But when I try to create a PDF or export a PDF, by using the Convert or Export button, I am asked to subscribe.
    Cause: You are mixing up two different products. Adobe Reader is the free PDF reader you had before and still have. Acrobat Pro is a DIFFERENT product and doesn't even have the Convert or Export buttons you are using (so, we can tell for sure you aren't actually using the demo you downloaded).
    Solution: quit Adobe Reader. Start Acrobat Pro (from START in Windows, or from Applications on Mac OS). You will see a product similar to Adobe Reader but able to do much more. Open PDF files with File > Open, NOT a double click. To export to other formats, use File > Save as... various options.

  • Captivate 6 Trial Version Background Issue

    Hi All,
    I upgraded to Captivate 6 Trial Version yesterday from Captivate 5 (while they sort out the purchasing of 6) because I wanted to take advantage of the Table of Contents features in the newer versions. I had created and published a screen capture with audio (about 130 slides; the CPTX is 154 MB; Windows 7 machine). It was perfect when published as an SWF with Captivate 5. Now that I have re-published it in 6 (several times) as an SWF, it is mangling the slide backgrounds on slides that have Typing Text or the Mouse selecting a checkbox. It appears to randomly insert the background from the first slide of the file and sometimes confuses and/or overlaps other background images.
    Any ideas?

    Since your main master slide is blank, you could have activated the 'User Master Slide Background', and this can be done with all slides selected at once (use CTRL-A in the Filmstrip). Would also have been possible (selecting all) for deselecting Project background. But that means that you have that background as a Project background, which seems very strange...

    Hi There, The error you were getting because both files ( .7z and .exe ) of Captivate 8 not downloaded at the same location.  Please find the steps of download and installation of Captivate 8 ( 64 bit ) :- Open the link mention below in any Web Browser say Internet Explorer https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate Sign in with your Adobe id and  Password, then you will be redirected to download Web Page of Captivate 8.   Do not click on Download. Kindly let that window open as it is.  Now Copy and paste the link mention below in the new tab/window of the same Web Browser in which you have opened the above link. http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/win64/Captivate_8_x64_LS21.7z  Then Save the file. Do the same for the link mention below and save this .exe file as well. http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/win64/Captivate_8_x64_LS21.exe Make sure both the files (.7z and .exe) save/download at the same location/folder. NOTE: Wait for both the files to finish download and then run the .exe file. Once you run the .exe, it will start extracting the .7z file and will provide Captivate 8 folder on your desktop which will contain setup.exe.     I have .cp files, I think those files are from Adobe Captivate 5.0 or 5.5 version. I downloaded trial version of Adobe Captivate but those files are not opening in 7.  Is there any way I can able to open.
    While opening .cp file, its giving error like below screen. Can anyone able to guide to open file in captivate 7?? or any converter avaialble?
    also, I seen some forums where it says there may be hidden file but I didn't get it.

    Only way is to try to get somewhere a copy of 5.5, as an intermediary step. And even then, converting a cp to cptx will need a lot more work. The remake was very drastic, text may shift or change fonts, you have to be sure that everything was AS3 (because CP4 still allowed AS2), question slides, animations will almost certainly cause problems. I really don't know about another way, sorry. After all we are talking about a time lag of more than 4 years, 4 versions (5, 5.5, 6, 6.1) have come and gone since, which is very long in software land

    I don't follow. all trial versions are PS Extended. If Extended functionality is not avialable, ite means your system doesn't meet the requirements. Refer to the tech specs on the product page.

    I down loaded photo shop elements free 30 day free trial yesterday, and today when I try to open it, it states trial has ended...........I don't understand what happen or why it ended. Please help!

    I believe that you need to do following things:
    Uninstall the current broken installation of PSE from the machine.(If it indeed got installed)
    Run the clean up script to remove any licensing bits remaining on the machine of previous trial installation which got expired in a day:

    and then manually remove any leftovers of PSE 7.0 from machine by following below link:

    Now, try to install you new purchased PSE and use the serial number which you have got.
    This should get you working. PSE does allow the user to install on Windows XP SP3 so there must be some funny things happening on your machine which should get resolved by following above links.

    I downloaded the CS6 Photoshop upgrade and it did not install. It just quit. I installed the trial version and it worked and accepted the licence and updated OK. I want a copy incase I crash this install. How do I do that?? Who do I call. How do I check sinse I've already installed CS6???

    Not quite sure what you are asking. If the trial version worked, you can simply backup that. If you want physical install media, contact sales.
