Why did my email attachment fail in Google?

When trying to attach a file to my email at my Google address it failed stating " unable to attach file likely because of a firewall". I have attached the same files using IE, Safari AND Opera.

Firefox orders its bookmarks by last bookmarked afaik. If you are interested in the technical functions/code you can search the lxr code [http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/search] for importing bookmarks.
Right clicking and selecting sorting a-z would put them in alphabetical order.

Why did this mini-video fail to go viral?
I created this short motion graphics project in AE and PR Pro for my hearing protection client in Switzerland for their "Sleep Plugs" product. She asked for a European look and feel, where tasteful nudity is common in advertising. Our target demographic is males, aged 18-35. The client posted it at her Zurich-based company’s website and hoped it would spread virally. We believed there was actually a good chance of that happening since we have three main elements of a viral video: sexiness, surprise, and humor. However, the number of views was much lower than we had hoped.
Please watch the video (it's just 30 seconds) before reading my comments and questions below so that I don't influence your first impression.

Please give me your thoughts on these questions:
1. It was my intention to set the viewer up to expect that the couple was going to have sex, then to provide some unexpected humor when she goes to sleep and snores instead. Did you think that was funny?
2. In an ideal world, this would have been live video, but, for budget constraints, and since there would've been very little movement in a video anyway, we went for a graphic approach, basically a pan across a wide, horizontal photo, with music bed and voiceovers, and logo/tagline at the end. Do you think this was an acceptable compromise?
3. With the outtake-style photos at the end, It was my intention to add a touch of silliness and show that we are not taking ourselves too seriously. Do you think that worked?
4. What do you think of the voiceovers?
5. What do you think of the choice of music? (I wish we could have had Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On"! altho, not sure how big that is with 18-35 year old males in Switzerland.)
6. These next two may be the most important questions: the context the video was presented in. My intention was to have the viewer sucked in by the sexy partial image and want to know more, thinking "What is this? . . . a joke? . . . porn?!?" (remember, they are 18-35 yr old males!) and watch it long enough to get to the joke and the appearance of the product. (I know I have watched several videos that turned out to be ads, but they were so entertaining and well done, I did not mind. In fact, I admired how they sucked me in!)
My client posted the link to the video on her company Facebook page, with the comment "Check out our new video." The link led to her company's official website and the video appeared on a page surrounded by other text, photos, and the company's name. It is my opinion that this took away some of the incentive to watch the video, since now the viewer already knows it is going to be an advertisement. Would you agree?
7. I feel the video should've been presented "in a vacuum", so the viewer would have no fore-knowledge of what it was or why their buddy forwarded it to them. I think links to most viral videos lead to YouTube or Vimeo (not to a company website.) What do you think would be the best method of distribution for this little video?
And, if you have any other thoughts, please let me know.

I have to agree with Jim. A still image screams 'cheap'. If I didn't watch the video with the intention of providing feedback, I would have tuned out after about 5 seconds, before even getting to the 'punch line'. With so many bad videos on YouTube, people's attention span have been reduced to mere seconds. If we don't like what we see in the first few seconds, we tune out and click on another link. I imagine many people who watch this video never get to the end since the moment they see it's a still image that probably won't change to live action, they think 'cheap' and tune out.
For a video to go viral, people have to want to pass it on to all of their contacts. For this to happen, they have to imagine that others will thank them for sharing the video, not roll their eyes and ask 'Why are you wasting my time with this?' "sexiness, surprise, and humor" are not enough for a video to go viral. You also need great execution.
3. Didn't work for me. It makes it look like the commercial and product are a joke, especially hearing the guy's laughter in the background. First the commercial would have to sell us on why the product is worthwhile/needed, which is doesn't.
4. The girl's voice is sexy, but it does not match the visuals, thus it ends up sounding fake and unnatural.
The guy's tatoo is a huge distraction. Is it a human heart? Why is it there?
Low budget doesn't have to mean a cheap look. Unfortunately the titles and the transitions (push, ripple dissolve) at the end also scream cheap. Nobody uses these kinds of effects on TV, so it's best to leave these for home videos and out of any professional work. Push transitions can work, but usually only if it's a quick transition, around 3-8 frames long. Slow push transitions scream 'Power Point', which in turn screams 'cheap'.

You at least have a record of what has been downloaded that way.

Why did my external HD fail and then come back?

The weirdest thing happened to my external hard drive and Time Machine.
I have a 2012 Macbook Pro Retina, 2.7 GHz with 16 GB of memory. It's software is 10.9.2 and has 500 GB of flash storage. So far I haven't had any gimmicks, but to be safe I use Time Machine in conjunction with a Buffalo Ministation HD-PCTU2 for backup. I purchased this with the computer (about two years). A few days ago it seemingly died --Disk Utility couldn't verify or repair it, and it wasn't mounted. I couldn't access the hard drive in Finder or anywhere else. Disk Utility couldn't tell how much memry was being used. The actual hard drive sounded and looked fine, purring away whenever plugged in. Before it stopped working, I pulled the cord by mistake without properly ejecting.
Today I wanted to buy a new external hard drive but beforehand, I used Disk Utility to make sure I couldn't repair/re-mount my old one. Still didn't work. When I was researching hard drives online, I left the hard drive plugged in. Time Machine mysteriously popped up and asks me if I wanted to use HD-PCTU2 as my backup disk! It's now on my desktop, fully accessible, and my old backup are there too. Working exactly as it should.
Any ideas about what happened? Why did Time Machine suddely recognize my hard drive after not working? Why didn't Disk Utility work? Should I play it safe and buy a new external hard drive?

Two backups are 10 times safer than one and three or four are a 100 times safer than one.
I use Carbon Copy Cloner to make bootable backup clones on multiple External HDs. I don't require hourly backups and so I stopped using TM a few years back. I keep two clones close by and update them daily. The others get backed up weekly and are kept in safe places like the fire safe and off site.

Why did a file attach itself to sent mail without my clicking the attach button?

I sent an email that I did not attach anything to. When I checked my sent folder I saw there was an attachment on it. Clicking on the attachment opens the Adobe Reader and says the file is damaged.
This happened with a gmail address. When I checked it on gmail, there was no attachment.

If you see the message you sent on the server your account must be IMAP. Then it's not possible that you do see something different in Thunderbird than on the server. I guess you left something out in your problem description.

Image selected and contact selected from contac tlist but on clicking on NEXT computer goes in a continous running mode.

There have been recent problems with the Adobe mail server but if using Vista or XP you can change preferences to Windows Mail or Outlook Express, as appropriate.
For those on W7 who did the recent updates including Windows Live Essentials it’s probably best to ignore Adobe Photo Mail and use the Windows Live Photo gallery to email photos, using Live Mail 2011.

If you laptop works well, don't update it. If not, don't use HP Support Assistant or any other program for updating/downloading the BIOS!! Download it:

Who is MAILSRVCS.NET ?? And why did my email take 22 minutes to be delivered?

I just signed up for FIOS. I set up my mail client to use the outgoing.verizon.net SMTP server and sent a few test emails to various addresses I use. It took 22 minutes for one of the emails to arrive. Looking at the headers, it appears to have been picked up at mailsrvcs.net as the first hop (@ 15 minutes past the hour) and then it arrived at the target domain (secureserver.net) 22 minutes later, having passed through some limbo at vms173005pub.verizon.net. What is the relationship between mailsrvcs.net and verizon.net? And why was there a 22 minute delay?

Your iCloud account is tied to your Apple ID account - if you go into System Preferences>iCloud>Account Details, you'll see the associated email address. If you need to change your iCloud prefs, change your Apple ID - http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/.

What happened to the tool bar & why did you switch my browser from Google to Yahoo?

When I downloaded Firefox 4 you switched my search engine from Google to Yahoo. I much prefer Google. Secondly, at the same time, my toolbar disappeared. When I wanted to print out a mutual fund activity confirmation, there was no means to do it. Unless this is changed, I will go back to IE, with great regrets. Photogranny.

You can remove the Yahoo Toolbar by going to Tools | Add-ons | Extensions and remove it from the list.
But it's not part of the original installation file. You might of got it when you installed something recently.
By the way, you need to update Flash. The version you have installed at the moment exposes your PC to hacking. You can download the latest version from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Because it hasn't been authorized, which can be done by moving the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, clicking on Store, and then on Authorize this Computer.
This applies to content bought from the iTunes Store. It doesn't apply to content you created or manually entered.
