What you are experiencing is 100% related to Malware.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

Why did the icons under my 'Layer' tab change appearance?

The above image shows a layer of curves with a masks.
Why did the mask change its appearance? Normally it's a blank square.
Even the links have changed (I believe they were thinner previously).
I might've pressed something and I don't know how to go back. I haven't
updated anything yet, so it shouldn't be because it's a newer version of
Photoshop.

Here's how it looks. I'll try adjusting something...but I never touched any

Thanks KT. I did mean the Fill color, but my real issue is that changing the fill color in the inspector doesn't change the color of the selected object. In tis case, I was trying to chnage the fill color from pale blue to the more ingense blue:

Q10 - I tap the screen to select, the icon changes color (indicating selection) but nothing happens...

I notice an issue that predominantly happens when I use my thumbs to tap but does happen with fingers from time to time.
When I select an icon (say, for instance the lower-right corner icon to jump into camera settings), the icon changes color slightly when my thumb touches the glass, and then when I remove my thumb, nothing happens.
Sometimes this happens more than 5 times in a row. It's one thing if the screen never recognized my finger/thumb in the first place. It is a bit more madening when I KNOW that there was recognition (icon changing color) and yet nothing happens..
Anyone else having this problem? Is there some way to recalibrate the screen?
Right after I posted this message I tried that camera setting button - 7 tries before anything happened with my right thumb, one try with right index finger, then again it took 5 tries with index finger. The frustrating thing is that the icon to load the camera in the first place (lower right corner)... that one almost always works with the first tap...

Suddenly the Firefox background color keeps changing (blue, tan, gray) I would like to keep it one constant color. How/ why did this happen today when I changed nothing, and how do I fix this?

Can anyone tell me why this picture changes color when I try to download/upload it? It is the exact same picture I have taken from the same location. The image on the left is via preview and the image on the right is what is shows like when I try to download it. I have emailed it to myself and it shows fine on the computer and in CS4, but when I look at the download via my phone or on another computer it shows the wonky color on the right. I have checked the color space shows RGB/8 bit. Any ideas why or how to fix it? It isn't with any one specific session.... and I've tried it on both my desktop and my laptop- saved image to an external hard drive and to drop box. I've tried sending the image to canvas on demand, my email, mpxipro, POST editing- all the same result. Please HELP!! What am I doing wrong?

Most of the time you see something like that. The image in question has a color profile other then sRGB. Some image viewers/displayers are color managed and others are not. So the image do not look the same in all of the applications you use. So colors seem to change.
Try converting it to sRGB color and see if then looks the same all around. Also I think PC and Mac displays are set to different gamma something like 1.8 and 2.2
Though I'm colorblind I even see color variations.

Why did the date change to september 21 when it is realy august 21?!?!

I tried cropping a picture and suddenly my phone turned off then turned back on by itself. When it turned back on i noticed the date changed to september! Why did this happen? And how can i change back the date?

This has occured on my iPhone 4 16GB three times this morning. Once at 8:15a, then at 10:30a, and just now at 12:00p today (all times are Central).
Device: iPhone 4 16GB (MC318LL)
Carrier: AT&T
iOS Version: 5.1.1 (9B206)
Turning the phone off and on does not fix the problem. Could be an issue with the date/time info when queried from the carrier. All three times I was on 3G and had a weak signal. Once the date changed, 3G was lost and then went to 2G (EDGE) and then 3G was restored. I am wondering if it will happen at 2:00p also.

Why are my calendars changing colors?

This has been happening occasionally over the past 6 months: the various calendars I have created in Calendar suddenly change colors from what I set. I can go in and reset them, but the reset doesn't stick; the next time I open Calendar, the calendar events have changed to bizarre colors again. Then in a week or two, as suddenly as it started, the color changes stop and all is normal again.
This does NOT affect my iCloud-synced iPhone or iPad calendars - their colors are what I originally intended. I am running the latest version of Mountain Lion, 10.8.5.

I just had the same problem. I went to the iCloud to change the colors back, but they would automatically change back.
Here's what I did:
1. Take your calendars offline in iCal
2. Export the calendars that change color to the desktop
3. Delete the calendars from both the iCloud and iCal
4. Create new calenders in iCal making them the color you want
5. Import the calendars from the desktop int your new calenders
6. Put your Calendars back online to sync with iCloud

Why do document icons change

During login, document icons display as the familiar icon we've become accustomed to, but when login completes, the icons change to a rather drab, generic-looking thing. For example Word documents, which used to show as the familiar blue Word document icon, are now plain white with 'DOC' at the bottom. How can I get the original icons to display?

I might be telling you to chase rainbows.
I am running OS X 10.6, so there may be a disconnect.
However, when I open my document folder, the folders are blue, but individual documents are a white icon with something like doc at the bottom. I consider this "normal," but we may be talking about different things...

This seems very ominous.... What does it mean? I don't think I did anything unusual -- it just happened all of a sudden. Fortunately, it was temporary. I shut the case for a moment, and when I reopened it, the screen was back to normal. I don't think the computer froze up while it was like this, although I can't remember for sure.... Note that it's not just my Safari window that went wonky, it was the entire screen.

Why did you guys change the old apple icon style

I liked the old apple style a lot better than this one.there should be an iOS 8 with the same new features bu the same icon style

Hard Drive Icon Changes Color

The icon for rmy exernal drive changes flashes from dull gray to a nice color every so often. Only for a few seconds at a time. This is on the OSx 6 desktop. I only use this external drive for backups. It does it even when I'm not accessing the drive for backup purposes. Why?
When I open Finder, the left panel shows this external drive in orange color and my internal drive shows in solid gray. None of them flash in different colors.
Will reboot - tha seems to cure all kinds of flakie things but still have to wonder: "Why"?

Why has my icon changed to an A on my Mac dashboard and how do I get the original back?

The Firefox icon (fox /earth) which has been on my Mac's Dashboard forever has changed to a stylized "A" made up of a ruler pencil and brush. I know not why. I would like to revert to the original. Why has this happened and how can I go back. I'm using version 9.0.1 on a Mac with OSX 10.6.8.

I've seen this happen periodically, but it's pretty easy to fix. Just delete the icon from your dock. Then recreate it by dragging the Firefox icon into the doc from the applications folder.
