my charger was working fine until 2 weeks ago. It was working in the morning, and when it needed a charge, the charging cord wouldn't work. I've bin using someone elses charger but i wont have it for long so i would like for mine the work. thanks

Sounds like you inadvertently have the Add Anchor Point tool active. Click and hold to get the full selection and choose the "regular" Pen tool at the top. (Or, just tap the P key.)

The same story. No 3G after updating to 6.1. Told my daughter temporarily not to do an update on her iPad with 6.01. We've exchanged SIMs. I inserted her SIM in my iPad - 3G appeared immediately. And my SIM in her iPad with ios 6.01 also WORKS FINE. We use the same provider - Megafon Moscow. After attempting to revert SIMs to original configuration, 3G disappeared on my iPad again. Don't know what's going on with SIM during the update to 6.1

- Try another cable. iOS 8 seem to make the iPod more sensitive to marginal cables.
- Reset all settings

My iTunes account password suddenly stopped working. Strangely, it still works when I sign into iTunes but does not work when I try to purchase a movie through Apple TV. I followed the instructions to change my password and that still didn't fix the problem. Anybody encounter this? What's frustrating is that Apple wants to charge me a fee for tech support. You mean I have to pay them to help me give them more money to buy temporary content through my Apple TV? Anywho, please assist if you can.

Have you tried restarting, the Apple TV, your router and your mac or PC.

Why did the "insert link" button stop working?

They've had that stupid "click to insert a link" button on the tool bar for ever. But it did nothing. Then it started working, making markup like this:

Why did my phone's airplay stop working when I updated to ios 6.1.1

I recently updated my iPhone 4S to the new operating system ios 6.1.1, and I now cannot connect my phone to my apple tv through airplay. I still can connect my wife's iPhone (3GS) to the apple TV, so I know it is not a network thing or something like that.
Does anyone know of a solution?
If you use airplay with you apple TV, I would reccommend holding off on the update until this error is fixed.

Today, I did a restore on my iPhone 4S, then reinstalled ios 6.1.1. My airplay works now as I had set it up as a new phone instead of restoring the from one of the backups.
Sometimes when a person restores a phone from one of the backups, you will just reinstall the previous problem. I also did not setup iCloud when I reinitialized my phone for I did not want the processing to be impeded.
I'll setup iClould later and see if that causes airplay to stop working as I think that was the cause.
I believe the problem was that there was just too many apps running in the background and too little ram and/or processing power left for airplay. With the new ios 6.1.1, it probably takes up more processing than previous versions and just enough to shutdown airplay and keep it from running.
Miket502, you might have a simular problem. I'm not telling you what to do with your phone, but it may be a solution to do what I did.

It's probably something to do with the tool's brush. If picking a brush preset (not just a brush tip) doesn't fix it then reset the Dodge Tool. Right-click on the tool's icon at very left of Options bar and pick Reset Tool.

Why did the keyboard shortcuts just stop working?

I'm a little bit annoyed. I had several shortcuts set on my phone that I used often (my email address, phone number, things like that) and now they just don't work AT ALL. I've looked up some quick fixes, but none of them work. I take that back, the "add a new one and delete it" suggestion worked once, but the next day it stopped working. I just hope Apple is aware of this issue and it's fixed with the next update.

Version 2.3: When/Why did SUMIF(S) referencing TODAY() stop working?

I've been using a series of spreadsheets (1 for each client) for years, and just now realized that SUMIF and SUMIFS statements using TODAY() aren't working. There's no error generated; they simply never get added in, even if the condition(s) be true.
Here's a sample sheet:
Note that both Figs and Guava were added within the 30 days, but the total is zero. The formula is displayed.
I worked out a fix, so I don't need that. For those who would like to see it:
The "How Many Days Ago" column is the formula "=STRIPDURATION(TODAY()-B_)" where "_" is the row.
So is there a better way than adding a new column (which I know I can hide)?? What changed?

I've never tried to use Dates with SUMIF as you did, so I can't answer with any certainty, but I am not surprised that it doesn't work.
I would do it this way, where SUMIF references the Date you are displaying in Column A of the summary table rather than recalculating it in the SUMIF argument:

Why did apple trailers and quicktime stop working together all of a sudden?

I'm running Chrome and Firefox and Apple Trailers suddenly stopped launching HD trailers through Quicktime X. It was working automatically a few weeks ago. The only info i can find on the net is years old. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone fix it?

I've been having the same problem, I think since updating to Lion. HD trailers will only load through Safari, no other browser.

Why did my brand new macbook stop working?

I bought a MacBook Pro 15" (not the Retina one) about four weeks ago.
A few days ago, it started freezing.
It doesn't matter what task if any is at hand - sometimes I'm running Chrome and sometimes only Finder.
There is no 'beach ball', there is no indication that anything is wrong. Except nothing works - the screen freezes, command+option+esc doesn't work - the only way to get it out of this state is a hard reboot.
Only change that happened between it working and not working: I installed my copy of Avid Media Composer 5.5 on there for work.
Tried uninstalling Avid - no change.
Pretty frustrated and just about ready to switch back to my trusty PC - half the price and twice the reliability.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

Take it back! Spent a godawful amount of money on the fancy 'puter, put its base one-year warranty to good use. If necessary they'll have to give you a new one to make it right. And based on this experience, you'll have to decide on the convenience of purchasing AppleCare before the year is out, to extend the coverage for an additional 2 years.
