Why did my mac change my date?

I was fixing some photos on my computer when I fell asleep. My mac lost all power, when I rebooted it, all the dates for my photos and emails had changed to August 30, 2012. I can't change them back? Why?

If you have set the current date & Time and time Zone correctly, and the problem persists, you may have a date FORMAT issue.
System preferences > Language and Text > Formats > Region: Custom
... change to United states or Canada or United Kingdom and see if that resolves the problem.

• Why does iCal automatically change the date of the entry i am making to the day before??

why does iCal automatically change the date of the entry i am making to the day before??
for example, when i am attempting to make a 'all-day' appointment on october 2nd 2011, it automatically shifts it to october 1st.
but if i am doing a timed appointment for only a few hours, it will allow me to put it on that day.
i am trying to put in travel dates so any help on how to fix this, would be greatly appreciated.

alsdman,
Quit iCal, and try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. Since that Library is now hidden, you have to use the Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart and check iCal for functionality.
Also go to System Preferences...>Language & Text>Formats>Region: and set/re-set the appropriate "Region."

• Why can't I change my date of birth on my apple ID?

My brother and I used to share apple ID, and it was registered on him, now when he doesn't use apple products anymore (long story) he gave it to me to use for myself. Problem is though, I can't update my date of birth. I can change everything but that. Everytime I try to update it a window puts up asking if I want to save the changes, I click 'yes' but still nothing happens. what is the problem?

Hello,
How di you try to change the date of birth ?
I would suggest to login on this page : https://appleid.apple.com (choose Manage your account)
Choose Password and Security (at the left of the page)
Change your birthdate and click on the blue button Save
Hope this will help.

• Why did AT&T change my billing due date?

I think it's a simple question and only wish to get an answer from AT&T or someone who actually knows the answer.  Don't speculate, don't answer with an educated guess.  I don't mind change if the reason is explained to me but all I received was a vague text message.

RobBinCT wrote:
I'm not making this a conspiracy. I'm asking a fair question about what I don't understand. My due date was the same for like 10 years, I don't know anyone else's due date. Why shouldn't I be inquisitive about this? Nothing from AT&T has explained to a layman why this benefits me but I have read how AT&T shareholders benefit greatly from this. Is transparency to much to ask?
No one has indicated that there would be a direct benefit to the customers to have 21 days from the end of the billing cycle until the bill is due.  The indirect benefit would be that this eases the training for customer service representatives so that they don't have to look up the region of the country that a customer is in when resolving billing due date concerns.  Also, this streamlines the billing system so that all billing due dates are calculated the same way.
I don't think that any question is too much to ask, but I'm wondering if you will ever be satisfied with an answer to this question.  Many posters have given you answers and not only do you reject the answer, you attack the person giving it.  There's no reason to attack the posters in this thread.

• Why did my Mac Pro crash on Mountain Lion?

Hi there,
My Mac Pro crashed twice yesterday.  No logs were created in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ for those as far as I can tell (nothing with the 28th as a date).  The computer just turned itsself off, and restarted.
I repaired the boot drive by launching from a Snow Leopard disk.  I ran Techtool diagnostic tests yesterday on the computer and everything passed (I skipped the boot drive surface scan, and only the 4 internal drives were connected.
Today, it turned off again, there was a grey screen I'd never seen before telling me that my mac would restart because of a problem, and boy, it did.  It wasn't the typical 'kernel panic screen' I saw rarely in the past.  This happened at 3:30 pm my time.  There's an "AvidBinIndexer crash log that is timed at 9:22 am, but none at 3:30 pm.  (Note that I've never looked in the diagnostic reports directory so I may not know what I'm looking at).
According to the files in the Diagnostic reports directory I've had crash logs since the 13th for Adobe, Avid, File Syncrhonization, qmaster, and Soundsource (for a total of 19 files in that directory, nothing before the 13th)
Now some background:
I run a Mac Pro 3,1 with 12 gigs of ram, an eSata card, ATI 5770 graphics card.
I have 4 internal and 6-7 external drives attached (4 esata, 1 firewire), 1-2 usb.
I upgraded to Mountain Lion on Jan 24 from Lion, however, this problem occured a few times before.
I had a USB backup drive that had volume problems, that I had to backup / reformat / repair, and so my first suspicion was that it was to blame.  But no, today it rebooted and that drive wasn't connected.  All other drives were however, and on.  It occured just after I woke the computer from sleep.
Any ideas on what's up?  What can I post here that could help someone diagnose this?  Any things to try to further narrow down the issue?
Thanks!
Rick

what a long post....Apple, btw, does not read this stuff, so ranting, raving, and complaining here might make you feel good, but it does no good at all. That being said, I, too have a Mac Pro Quad Core Xeon with 6 gigs of ram and an nVidia 8800 GT graphics card (not as good as yours, alas) and I've had no problems at all with it. Yes, it doesn't have Thunderbolt, but maybe we Mac pro owners will get lucky and someone will come out with an adapter (probably not). No, you probably don't have to throw away your Mac Pro, but if you do, I'll take it, for a small "recycling" fee >:-) That was a joke.  Yes, the Mac Pro's future isn't quite clear, YET. Hopefully that will improve very soon. As for not being able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Don't worry about that too much, Nobody is forcing you to do that.  Your Mac Pro won't quit working if it isn't installed. From what  I've heard, you should give the new OS a chance, and wait to get it, in case there might be some bugs, or stuff not working with the new OS, which has been known to happen. Yes, we Mac Pro owners don't like being treated like mushrooms-kept in the dark, and being fed......... but Apple is Apple and it will do what it does, and there is nothing you or me can really do to change that. All I can say is....trust, have faith, be patient, go for a walk, do something else to take your mind off of this problem. IF apple decides to drop the Mac Pro for good, and that's a big "IF", I think they will anger a whole bunch of people
which isn't good. However, that hasn't happened...YET. Let us hope that it doesn't

• Why did I lose my unlimited data plan when 2 co-workers didn't when they upgraded?

I recently found out that 2 co-workers updated their phones back in Oct. 2013.  They purchased new phones under contract on lines available for upgrade at that time.  After the purchase, they both switched the new phone to another line of theirs with the unlimited data plan.  They continue to get the unlimited data plan on these older lines even though they switched the new phones to these older lines.  I purchased a phone for my son back in Dec. 2012.  His line was not available for upgrade at that time.  I upgraded my husband's line with the new phone and then they switched it to my son's line.  I was told that I would no longer be able to get the unlimited data on my son's line now.  I asked why, I wasn't upgrading his line but the other line and they said once I switch the new phone to my son's line it automatically removed the unlimited data.  They told me nothing they could do because Verizon was trying to eliminate the unlimited data plans.  Dec. 2013 I went to get my daughter a new phone.  Her line was available for upgrade.  The Verizon employee also asked if I wanted to upgrade my son's line since it was available for upgrade.  I asked about the unlimited data and how I lost it on his line before.  I asked if I could upgrade his line and then move the phone over to my daughter's line and keep her unlimited data.  The Verizon worker told me no.  Said anytime you purchase a new phone, it will not allow the unlimited data to be kept, that any phone under contract removes the unlimited data even if the new contract is not originally purchased under the line switching to.  Both of my co-workers were able to to upgrade on one line, switch to line that still had unlimited data and keep it.  Why?  I'm so upset over this difference.  I phoned Verizon at the worker stated that it could not be done.  He was nice but could not understand how one was able to do it and I couldn't.  One of the people who did upgrade and kept the unlimited data said that the employee at the Verizon store told her that they couldn't do it that why--keeping the unlimited data because they would get into trouble and possibly fired.  She said she came home called Verizon and Verizon at the 800# did it for her.  I feel like I was done wrong--I should have never lost my unlimited data when I switched the phone to my son's line in Dec. 2012 nor my daughter's line Dec. 2013.  They did offer me the 6 gb data for my daughter at 30.00, but my son's could not be done that way since it had been back in Dec. 2012.  So I am being charged 30.00 for 2 gb.  I have until Jan. 15 to return her phone for a refund, except the 35.00 restocking fee.  I am thinking about doing this because so dissatisfied.  Someone needs to check into this matter...should be no difference in customers.  This is not hear say,,,,it came straight from the people themselves.  They know what they have--they have unlimited data and both received new phones in Oct. 2013 under lines available for upgrade and switching to line unavailable for upgrade at that time.  Some please help me to understand why?  If it can be done....I should be able to get it too.  Verizon should address this issue and treat all customers the same!!!!   Thanks

If you didn't get a subsidized upgrade on the line with unlimited data,  you should have been able to keep your son's plan and just activate the phone on his line. The line you used the upgrade from will no longer have unlimited,  but if you just had a basic phone on that line it wouldn't matter. I would return the phone, and then order a new one either online, over the phone, or in a Verizon corporate (not a "reseller" or "authorized retailer"). That is the only reason I can think of that you would have to lose the unlimited data. Also, be sure the contract/upgrade date is reset, before leaving the store if possible. I know sometimes the returns don't get processed and reported to Verizon right away, and you don't want to find out in a week or two that the return wasn't processed by the 15th. Good luck to you! :)

• Why did my Mac book pro 2012 literally slow to a crawl overnight?

Hello,
Im new to Mac products so bear with me
I'm running an OS X 10.9.1 13 Mac book pro with 4 GB of memory. I can usually play video games, and edit videos with it. And overheating has never been a problem.
Today alll the applications are taking 30-40 seconds to open and even longer to click between tasks. Sometimes i see a beach balll, but generally the notebook just seems to not respond. The boot time seems to have increased too.
Disk check - Hard drive scan showed no problems and I have over 30% Disk space left
Disk repair permissions - It took about an hour and repaired some stuff. But still slow
Activity monitor
kernel_task 1.9% and activity monitor 0.6%
user % 0.3, System 0.5% and idle 99 %

I heard some people could interpret this. I'm currently using a library PC cause typing on my Mac would take eons......its that slow
can anyone help?

Please don't post "etrecheck" output in a reply to me. I have no use for it.
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the request of a stranger on a public message board. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed: Copy a line of text from this web page into the window of another application. Wait for the script to run. It usually takes a few minutes. Then paste the results, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is: copy, paste, wait, paste again. Details follow.
4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode. If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test will take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.
Note: This is a public forum, and others may give you advice based on the results of the test. They speak only for themselves, and I don't necessarily agree with them.

• Why did my Mac delete all my pictures on Iphoto?

My Mac deleted all my pictures in IPhoto without asking me... I do not know what happened, or why it happened. I've had my Macbook Pro for only 1 year.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see in the iPhoto window when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

• Renamed: Why did my namespace change? soap-env (vs) soapenv

Hello forum. I normally post in the main forum. I hope this is the right place for a SOAP question. I'm sure you'll let me know if it's not.
We have an application which was running fine until last week. The app lives on a machine which is not completely ours (we don't control the environment). This app receives and sends socket messages. Based on the incoming message our outgoing message may be in SOAP or a legacy proprietary format. At the time of transmission we do not know the format of the message.
Our outgoing messages stopped being transmitted. What we found was that there was a bit of logic in our transmitting component which read the first X characters of the message to see if it is a SOAP or legacy message. What we did to determine this was to look for, what we thought was standard "<SOAP-ENV....." It worked for years. (I know there are better ways of doing this and we're working on that now). The problem was that the messages that were failing contained "<SOAPENV...."
Here's the question. The objects which build these messages are called from our messaging app. They should be in the same JVM as the messaging app. The messaging app's SOAP jars have not changed. The JRE was upgraded to 1.3.1_19 from _07. In the messaging app as a test I can build a SOAP message and it still says "<SOAP-ENV...." Where is this other namespace coming from? I decompiled the saaj components and it looks like the MessageFactory makes some calls to the environment to determine the message implementation. Could the problem be here? Has anyone heard of this type of thing happening before or am I just losing my mind.
Thanks as always.

Possibly I don't understand the SOAP implementation. I'm using the same set of SOAP jars (saaj, commons, logging, etc) as I always did. If these jars did not change could / should the message format change? Is the implementation looking outside of my JVM for this implementation?
As to "why" it matters is that I need to know why something in my code has changed. Imagine, for example, that the implementation of String changed. It may still adhere to the normal implementation of String but if my code expects it to look a certain way and it stops looking that way then my code breaks.
As I said in the original post I have handled the issue that it changed but I can't feel comfortable with the application if I fear that it can change again and break my code.
The question is, if the jars related to SOAP (the normal ones you get from sun, I'll provide the list if needed) have not changed then how can the format of the message change?
Thanks again.

• Why did my name change to @icloud in my message on iPhone?

Why is [email protected] appearing on the top of my messages on my iPhone? Help!
Thanks!

I take that back, on my phone it says 'messages.'
When I text someone '[email protected]' comes up on their phone instead of just my name. I feel like somehow I may have activated my icloud on the Mac and now I have this new email address popping up everywhere.

• Why does this script changes modification date???

Hello All,
I am using this script with an Acrobutton to advise my users of the current PDF version.
var stmDoc = Collab.documentToStream(this)
var strDoc = util.stringFromStream(stmDoc);
var strVer = strDoc.substr(5,3)
app.alert({cMsg: "The PDF version is: " + strVer, nIcon: 3, nType: 0, cTitle: "PDF Version Check"});
Problem is that when closing the document, even though not prompted, the file is saved (assumed, since the modification date changes).
Is there anything about this script that is doing this?

I added a "this.dirty = false;" to the end, but it does not do as I had hoped. The pdf does not prompt for a save, which is what I understand the dirty flag to be effecting. The modification date changes anyway. Am I not using the dirty flag correctly? Thanks in advance for your help.

• Why can't I change the date format in my documents?

Good Morning.  I submitted this question yesterday to the iMac forum but no one could help me.  It should  be a very simple thing to do but it escapes me.
Using 'Insert Date' brings up the long date format i.e.  Tuesday April 16 2013.  I prefer the short format 16.04.13.
I have tried to change this by going through the procedure System Preferences > Date Time.  The default format in that window is the one I want but it does not appear in my Pages or Numbers documents.  I then tried Systems Preferences > language and Text > Region > Customise I made sure I was in the correct region and selected the short date format.  Still get the long format in the documents.  I can edit this on the fly by right clicking the date but the next time I use 'insert date'  it reverts to the long format.  Now I'm the first to admit I am probably missing something really simple but could somebody plesae point out to me what it is 'cos it's driving me mad.
Wilf

Hi Wilfred,
Three issues here.
1. Setting the short and long dates in System Preferences. See fruhulda's answer: Copy and paste to shift the dates position. [Nice one, fruhulda!]
2. Locking those changes in (restart your computer). See Jerry's first answer.
3. However I do not get that window that you show where it saysset to today and gives you those options which you can tick. This has nothing to do with System Preferences. That window is what you get in Pages when you double-click or right-click or Control-click the date object to bring up the options. See Jerry's last answer.
If I could try everyones patience a bit further.
No worries mate.
Regards, Ian.

• Why did my mac slow down after installing 10.4.11?

I updated from 10.4.9 to 10.4.11. Since then my computer has slowed to a crawl and the spinning beach ball appears every time I click on anything, from attempting to launch Firefox to trying to Force Quit. Is there a way to solve this problem?

General advice on updating:
It is worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, as they have all been extensively beta-tested, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first to an external hard disk. Ideally you should always have a bootable clone of your system that enables you to revert to the previous pre-update state.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site. If your car runs on gasoline you would not want to fill the tank with diesel, so don’t try to install the PPC updater on an Intel Mac!
The 10.4.11 Combo Updater for PPC Macs is here:  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL170
And for Intel Macs:  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL172
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Full details about the 10.4.11 update here:  http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901?viewlocale=en_US
More information on using Software Updater here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24901?viewlocale=en_US
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.4.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.4.10 to 10.4.11. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
Now proceed as follows:
4. Close all applications and turn off energy saving and screensaver.
5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious!
9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them compliant with the latest version of your operating system. Give them a weeks or two while you regularly check their websites for updates. This applies particularly to plug-ins for Safari 3.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.
Lastly, Apple's own article on the subject of Software Update may also be useful reading:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106695
If you are updating Safari (or just have):
Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up.  If you have installed an OS update and Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4 or, if you downloaded it, Safari 3.0.3 beta. Safari 10.4.11 used Safari 3.0.4 which was not a beta. If Safari 3.1.2 on 10.4.11 is not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
Moreover, trying to revert to Safari 3.0.4 (or worse still, version 2) when running 10.4.11 or 10.5 can have repercussions, as Safari 3.1.1 uses a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail and Dashboard Widgets etc also rely, and may entail you having to reinstall an earlier operating system.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Two such add-on that have been frequently mentioned here for causing such problems are Piclens and Pithhelmet. If you have them, trash them.
Additional tips on software installation here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106692
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for  problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
/Library/InputManagers
~/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates (they can always be added back one-by-one later).

• Why did my plan change if I paid full retail price?

I bought a new Samsung Note 4 on Saturday at the local Verizon Wireless store, paying full retail price to avoid needing to make any changes to my existing plan. However, I received a data usage alert 10 minutes after leaving the store as my plan was reset to 2GB. I was told by multiple service agents that an IPR was placed to reset my plan back to unlimited. How do I get an update on the status of that request? There is nowhere to check on the Verizon Wireless website from what I am seeing. Thank you.

Congrats on your new device purchase carmencampise. I know how concerning it can be when you see your plan changes unexpectedly. If you purchased a new device at full retail, it should not have removed your unlimited data plan. I understand an inactive pricing request has already been filed. This is the correct step to readd your unlimited data plan back to your account. This process can take 5-7 business days to complete. Have you received an update on the request?
