Why did my messages turn blue instead of the original green?
Finally got a iphone. I'm just learning it, but my messages use to be green for the outgoing text but they turned blue. How do I reset it.
Blue is free & means they are being sent as iMessages. Green means regular SMSs and costs money. Read here:

Blue messages are iMessages. Dont worry they work pretty much the same as txts
Instead of being sent via the sms service through your operator they're sent either as cellular data or wifi if you have it. The idea being that it functions in much the same way as BBM does on a Blackberry.
You can IIRC turn them off.
iOS 5 automatically determines if the intended recipient is using iOS5, and if they are, automatically sends the message as an iMessage rather than a txt. The colour change is designed to let you know whats what. -

Do you have gfxCardStatus installed? Is your monitor set to "Integrated" or "Discrete". You want it set to Discrete to drive the external HDMI display.

Are you sure you have a good miniDisplayPort to HDMI cable?
Do you have another HDMI display you can test against (your neighbor's HDMI capable TV).
Do you have friend that can test the cable using their Mac and maybe their TV or a monitor that has HDMI input. -

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

If the iPhone can't send the message as an iMessage (blue) it will instead send it as an SMS message (green).

Why to I have a blue haze on the photos and on the menu bars of apps. I have Intel iMac running OSX 10.7.5. This problem just started. All my photos are corurpted with a blue haze.
Here is another photo with the wierd blue circle in the sky taken with a DSLR. This did not appear until recently and now I see it on all photos and also when I print the photo.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. Why did carefully over heating my 4s restore the wifi function? This, after 2 months of mysteriously grey out wifi buttons, loads of time trying to resolve issue with apple tech only to be told I must pay $199 to repair the problem. I'm disillusioned now

Also, make a backup to iTunes of the device. Then restore it as a new device. If you still have wi-fi greyed out, then contact Apple again, and explain that you believe you have a hardware issue. They may still ask for a $19 deposit, but if it is actually hardware related, then you won't be charged the $19. Only if it is software related do you get charged that $19. -

"Vaguely like" is the best we can hope for and a minor miracle in itself. PDF was never meant to be converted.

How did she change her AppleID?
If she simply updated the AppleID (not created a new one with a new email address), log out then log back into iTunes store. -
I am trying to burn music to a CD-R- message says: unable to locate the original file. Music is on the iTunes program but will not play or burn. Is there something I should change to be able to burn to CD?
If they were songs you purchased from itunes, try redownloading them from your purchases...
if that doednt work, make sure the optuon to copy files to itunes media folder is checked in settings, then find and download from the net. and re-add them to your library -

So... why not restore them from your backup? I am now convinced this a HUGE BUG in 7.7.1. and possibly the previous version or two.
I'm not so sure... I've never run across this particular error (my library is stored on my internal hard drive, but copied to an external for backup purposes with an application other than iTunes or Finder. I don't think Apple will provide acknowledgment to issues experienced only by very small numbers of people... I'm one of those, perhaps foolish, individuals who allows my computer to download updates immediately, rather than waiting for fear of problems, and again, I've never had this error.

White grid icon instead of the original

The applications run correctly. I tried reinstalling them, rebooting and resetting the ipad, logging out of the Apple Store - none of these solves the problem.The file extension is .docx. Thanks for the info about screenshots, I didn't know how to do that with Windows 8.1. I made a copy of the screenshot and cropped it to show just the icon, and I'm attaching it.
