Why did my music download location change?

All of my music is stored in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\
When I download new songs now, artist and album folders are being created in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\ which is my iTunes Media folder location in the settings.
My mobile applications are being stored in D:\Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications\
So my question is, why are new music downloads all of a sudden being placed in D:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\? Did Apple change the location where they are placed? Should I move all of my existing music in that folder?

Thanks for the question. iTunes should default to the iTunes Media folder organization, as outlined in this resource:

In iTunes 9 and later, the iTunes folder is organized as follows, with iTunes Media organization arranging your content into folders related to the content:
- iTunes
- iTunes Media
- Music
If you find that it is not defaulting to this organization, you can check to make sure your iTunes Media folder location is correct in your advanced preferences:

ITunes Music Folder Location changed, but iTunes still uses old location

Okay - I'm getting a bit frustrated here. Because I had no room on c:, I moved all my iTunes preferences -- applications I downloaded for the iPod Touch, file settings, and all that stuff -- to my D:\ drive. Then I went to Preferences > Advanced and changed the iTunes Music Folder location to my D: drive.
Everything SEEMED to have looked good. Or so I hoped.
The 40+ applications I bought are no longer listed on the Applications purchased list. Further, all my files are STILL saving to the c: drive.
How do I FORCE iTunes to acknowledge that the D:\ drive is storing my iTunes preferences and files?!

OK, now I get what you're trying to do. I think!
I run my ITL file off my exHD, so all my Artwork & Applications are stored there. I think if you try running your ITL file from the D: drive it will do what you want.
Try this
1) close itunes & wait for the library ITL file to save ( I assume it's still on C: hence that's why artwork/apps are DLing there)
2) copy that ITL file over to the D: drive
3) press and hold the shift key while starting itunes and choose the ITL file on D:
Now all your future artwork/apps shoudl download to D:, try it by getting a free app.

Why does my Music Library Location Keep Reverting to Unwanted Location?

I recently switched from PC to Mac. My music library is now located on an external HD connected to my Airport Extreme Base Station.
I've noticed that at random times the location of my music library changes from the external HD to my iTunes Music folder located on my C: drive. I reset the location back to the external HD, I'm prompted to move the files etc. and all is well for a while.
Keeping an eye on the music library location in the configuration settings, I'll notice the location will switch back to the C: drive for what seems to be no apparent reason. I have all the settings checked regarding Keep Music folder organized, Copy files to iTunes Music folder etc.
The only thing I've done out of the ordinary recently was point my music library path to a DIFFERENT HD. I have an exact copy of my entire music library on a second HD which I use when I go out of town and can not access my primary music library. When I got home I pointed the library path back to my original HD.
It works fine for a day or so, but as I mentioned, it seems to randomly switch to my C: drive. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I'm doing, or did, that is causing this?

Hmm. That should mean it's "mounted". However, I do have some vague recollection that using an Airport disk was problematic. However, the articles I read on that were back when the Airport Extreme first debuted. I'm not as conversant with using Airport disks as I just use an external USB drive connected to my MacBook. Sorry I don't have more wisdom...

Why did all of my dashes "-" change to "&ndash" after my client made in browser edits and I accepted

I created a site in Muse. Published out to Business Catalyst and all was good. My client made several hundered edits from the Biz Cat dashboard. They then asked me to make some more substantial edits to the design so when I opened Muse, I accepted the edits they had made. On each page there is a column for Customer quotes. Each quote is signed of with a name.... such as "- Judy Miller." I noticed, after accepting the inbrowser eidts that all dahses before the names now had "&ndash Judy Miller." I tested in preview and sure enough, it was there still. So I then did a preview in browser forcing the page to load through the server and unfortunately the &ndash was still in front of the name. So I opened my browser and pulled up the site to make sure it still had the correct dash and it did as I had not published from Muse since accepting the inbrowser edits.
Why did that happen?
How can I prevent it from happening in the future?
Right now I am stuck in limbo as I can not publish out in fear of populating the site with dash replacements. I can go in and change everyone and then make the changes I was supoosed to make for the client but who is to say it won't happen again and again?
Thanks for any info you can shed on this. I have been on chat support for over an hour now and still have not gotten a hold of a support agent at Adobe. That clearly sucks and they should employ more people to handle the problems when they occur.

You've encountered a bug that has been reported by at least one other user, but one that we haven't been able to reproduce internally. To help us investigate this, could you determine which browser/platform (inlcuding versions) you client had used to make the edits?
Also, if you could send your Muse file to [email protected] (with a link to this forum post), I can look at fixing it, reverting all "&ndash" instances to "–". Sorry for the inconvenience.

As for your other question it is impossible to answer since you haven't mentioned any specific problems.
I (and millions of others) updated to iOS 6.1.3 with no problems whatsoever.
What problems do you have? It is possible that some corruption occurred when you were updating your iPhone.

Why did my sign in screen change from black to red?

For no obvious reason (which frustrates me the most out of any computer issue...) my computer sign in screen has changed from back to a pale red color. Though the computer still seems to be working properly *(except a bug change in iPhoto), I want to know if something bad is coming. I have a user that started working on a premiere pro project 2 weeks ago. She then received an update from adobe which she ran and the next day the premiere pro project she was working on was gone. After I looked at found that the save location was in the users AppData\Adobe\Premiere\6.0 folder (which was empty). I would first like to know why by default did it store the saves in the AppData folder? Why was the folder over written after the update?

Jpeg download location change

Hi there
When I ctrl-click* on a jpeg or suchlike online in safari the only option it gives me to save it to is add the pic to iphoto or to save to the default download folder for Safari. It used to be you could save anywhere on the hard drive you chose.
How can i revert to that or pic a separate download folder different from the default Safari one

Hold down the option key as well when trying to save. I.e. controloptionclick.
This canged around the time Safari 1.3 was released (why it was changed we've no idea...)

Why did my music dissapear?

Please can anyone help me. I have just updated my iPod mini software, the same way I did previously. After I did that, my music dissapeared. It still shows that I've got 3.something GB space on it. So there is hardly any space left.

So when you use the iPod it appears to be empty? There's no music in its menus?
If you still have a copy of all your music on the Mac, then I'd restore the iPod and resync it with iTunes. Instructions on how to restore the iPod are here: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/.
Make sure you download the latest iPod software - there's a link to it on that page I mention above.

I downloaded a few music files using Nokia Music store. These files are visible in the Music app but cannot be seen in the Nokia Music player or the SD card. Any idea where would these music files be located?
