Yahoo home page layout changed on Firefox but it's the same if I use Explorer. Why?

hello ksbrzy, i don't use yahoo mail myself so i don't know if this is a general change. you could go through all the steps described at [[Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should]] to make sure the problem isn't at your end & else contact yahoo's support if you're still having issues with their site

How Can I get rid of Yahoo home page? Changing home page doesn't work.

A week or two ago, Yahoo started coming up as my home page. No matter how many times I change it back to Bing, every time I bring up Firefox, there is Yahoo as the home page. Changing it back to Bing and clicking ok is not working. I'm getting a little frustrated with this. How do I get rid of Yahoo coming up as my home page when I did not even ask for it?

Why does the Google home page scroll vertically in Firefox?

It scrolls vertically only in Firefox. It doesn't scroll when I'm logged out, or if there is a special doodle.

My yahoo home page is convoluted on Firefox, but not on Safari. How do I fix this?

I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, but that didn't work. My Yahoo homepage looks like a puzzle. Images not loading correctly. Works fine on Safari, so I figure it is something in my Firefox settings.

Yahoo Home page - change to original from optimized format.

With the recent upgrade to 17.01 my Yahoo Home page has changed to the "yahoo optimized?" format. It is so awful, that I am considering changing default browsers!! How do I get rid of it and just use the standard Yahoo format? I clear the cache upon closing and cookies. I suppose I could also clear the flash cookies (have the Yahoo one not being deleted - most others are also cleared upon closing.) Any suggestions?

Why did firefox change yahoo home page. Now different from IE

For some reason the Yahoo home page which I always use has been changed on Firefox. On IE it is the good old home page that I not only like but was used to. I prefer Firefox as my browser but would like the regular Yahoo home page back. Any ideas?

I have the same problem too. I had the same problem about two months ago and someone on here told me what to do. Unfortunately I did not write it down so i don't remember. I've tried, tools-options - advance - general - unchecked use hardware acceleration when available...it did not work. Yahoo main page looks perfect on IE, on Firefox it's a mess. How do I get back my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Tool Bar?

I am a senior citizen with little computer knowledge. I cannot cope with changes to my home page because I do not have the knowledge/skills to undo the changes your program has installed.
AT&T is my Internet Service Provider. Firefox is my browser. Right? When I installed the newer version of Firefox it usurped my AT&T Yahoo Home Page and Task Bar. I want my old home page and task bar back.
I used system recovery to go back a couple hrs. prior to when the new Fire Fox was installed and lost Firefox & At&T. Was in a great state of frustration when I couldn't get system recovery up after going to control panel. System recovery finally popped up again and I went forward to after installation of new Fire Fox and have system up again.
I am unable to read up on new Fire Fox program now. All I want is my old AT&T Yahoo Home Page back with their Task Bar. I can learn new Fire Fox as time permits.
For a non-profit organization I find Fire Fox quite aggressive. That is good when mobilizing us to write or call Congress but not to take over my Home Page.
Will have to admit new Fire Fox sure is faster.
I do want to commend you for taking a stand against what Congress is trying to do and also for your non-intrusive, not obnoxious way of asking for donations. You help inform us and let us know of your need and anyone that is not a free loader with a conscience, I think, would make a donation according to what one can afford. Keep up the good work and the good fight..........please do help me restore my home page back to AT&T with the old task bar.

This is the answer from Firefox Help to get Tool Bar back up:
Why are the menus (File, Edit, View, etc.) missing?
If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you now have an orange Firefox button that takes the most common functions and puts them in one menu.
To temporarily show the old style menus, just press the Alt key.
To have them shown all the time, right-click on an empty section of the Tab Strip and check Menu Bar in the pop-up menu.
Menu Bar - Win
Pressing the Alt key didn't work for me but the latter instruction did the trick.
Check the Navigation Bar too on the pop-up menu if you want your Refresh and Home Icons to show. It took quite a few right-clicks for me before the pop-up menu I needed came up so keep trying until the right menu comes up.

Firefox icon disappeared, have to use Internet Explorer to access web sites. Although I can get into Yahoo home page, am unable to open e-mail account.

Turned on computer this am and firefox icon not there. Used Internet Explorer to access web sites. Was able to access my Yahoo home page but not able to open my e-mail account. I am not savvy enough to change settings by myself, so I really need help.

Hi--I tried your suggestion and no dice. A window came up with the following:The item 'Firefox.exe' that has this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete?
Another window said 'C:Program files (x86) Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe' specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
I have no clue as to what that means. I did delete the shortcut.
Finally went into our Kaspersky virus protection and found Firefox is in quarantine and that is probably why I am unable to uninstall and reinstall.
Any ideas????

Did your wife tick the box on the Yahoo sign in page to remember her for two weeks?
It would be best two have two separate Firefox profile folders, one for each of you to prevent such problems. 
Then you also do not have problems with deleting or changing bookmarks.

Where is my yahoo home page

updated my IPad 4 with iso7.1, lost my yahoo home page, i do have the yahoo page but have to log on every time I go to this page, how do I fix this is is it lost forever?

Sorry, my "myyahoo" page changed after I updated to7.0, but after working with it since posting I think I figured out the new version, I didn't have everything on my homepage as I did before, maybe not a apple thing, I have had my IPad for a little over a year and still think I need to use a home page instead of apps for different things, so maybe this new apple update will force me to use apps when needed. but I think this updated 7.0 has slowed my IPad down. thanks for your return answer.

BT Yahoo Home Page access

Now that the Bt Yahoo login has now changed to BT.com I have lost access to my old BT Yahoo home page.
This was a useful home page which was customisable with feeds etc.
Now it just re-directs to the BT.com portal home page instead.
Is there any way I can still get back to my old home page as I had a lot of useful stuff on there.
Yesterday I could log in via Yahoo but today that's been redirected too.
Does this mean that all BT Yahoo people will be booted off Yahoo completely...?

Access your old Yahoo Notepad - e-mail and calendar
Some Yahoo stuff will be moved across, the rest will be deleted.
If you still want Yahoo, they you will have to create a new Yahoo normal account.

Can't open Yahoo home page but must put in password

After downloading 4.0 firefox, my yahoo home page will not open. I have to keep putting in password. I've moved "Y" icon to house but to no avail. Tried everything.

Please do the following.
Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL, change the setting at the top to '''Everything '''and then in the menu below, checkmark "Cache" (uncheck all the others). Then click the "Clear Now" button.
Next go to Tools | Options | Advanced | Network (tab) and in the Offline Storage menu, click the "Clear Now" button.
In the Tools | Options | Advanced | General (tab) menu, uncheck "''Tell websites I do not want to be tracked''" if it's enabled.
Next, go to Tools | Options | Privacy and then click the "Show Cookies" button. Then delete all the Yahoo cookies.
Finally, go to File | Exit and then restart Firefox again.
