Why did the IOS7 Notes app use 2.7Gb of cellular data in the last 3 weeks?

I purchased a new Iphone5s on October 5. I have kept the OS updated so it is at 7.0.2. now (will go to 7.0.3 when the download completes successfully). The apps and configuration on my 5s were retored from a backup of the Iphone 3GS that it replaced.
However, I just received a notification from my phone provider that I had used all of my cellular data limit for the billing period. This is surprising since my normal usage for a month is a few hundred megabytes and the limit with my new phone was 3Gb shared.
Investigating the cellular data usage numbers showed that Apple's "Notes" app had used 2.7Gb of cellular data in the 3 weeks since I had purchased the phone. In this time I had created ONE new note. I never use the app. WHY did it use so much cellular data?

This is completely ridiculous. An app I don't even use, which is installed and maintained by APPLE, starts doing something that uses Gb of cellular data. Can anyone explain WHY this is happening? I have turned cellular data usage OFF for the Notes app to try to prevent future problems (and turned off cellular data usage entirely for the rest of the month to try to avoid additional charges)... however, I have no idea how to convince my provider that a buggy app provided by Apple in the new phone they sold me is responsible for the unexpectedly high data usage.

Has anyone else seen the "Notes" app using an insane amount of cellular data? In any case, I am tempted to suggest disabling cellular data usage on Apple apps until they fix issues like these.

Thank you for the comments but I somehow think we are miscommunicating.
1) I have no problem backing up the phone locally (or to icloud if I wanted to)
2) I have no problem turning on or off cellular data usage for any app on the phone
3) I have no problem seeing what apps are enabled or how much cellular data they use
My problem is the following
APPLE's Notes app used 2.7 GIGABYTES of cellular data (before I disabled cellular data for this app) despite the fact I wasn't even using the app. I didn't change any setting for Notes, I didn't do anything with it except create one note on October 15. It would seem to me that this excessive usage is a bug or oversight in Apple's design of the app.
The purpose of this post is to warn others of the potential issue and to see if this issue has been observed by anyone else and if there are any actual fixes. Disabling cellular data for the app is a work-around ... but will the problem begin again if cellular data is re-enabled?
Your suggestion of erasing all content and settings and then restoring the phone from the backup sounds extreme but would it solve the specific problem of excessive cellular data usage and if so .. why?

Can not use all apps with cellular data
In Settings/General/Restrictions if you tap on Cellular Data Use there should be 2 options: Allow Changes or Don't Allow Changes. If you don't see these options is that where you see "Cellular data is turned off for 'Setting'?
Do you have a corporate MS Exchange email account on your phone? If so your administrator may have added an override on this setting. -
I realize that change are good but why did u change Notes app?
I understand need of improvement but they need to actually be better. With iOS 7 we receive good apps but why the **** they change Application Notes and mess up good product. Why new Notes are poor because font and background is no good previous was much better much clearer to read. So maybe some day before putting new system u can realize that u don't have to change every thin leave good stuff and work on something else

Why did the recent update to ios 7.0.4 use up all my storage (over 9 GB)? I have no storage for music and apps. There is over 9GB designated to "other" under usage now. I only have 16 GB total.
Text, the best way is to take screen shots, or if you can forward them to your email. Your notes are either saved by your email or with icoud. They can help you find out where they are saved at.
The resest is easy. I would say it best to also save your photos on your computer as well as a extra back up so you can also see them. Depending if you have Mac use Iphoto and import all photos, Windows use I am drawing a blank, but you can go to your start menue and then your phone will show up as a removable device and then left click and transfer photos and videos.
After that you will be set. But it will take a bit to get all of your text taken care of thought.
Also if you have non-programed email address like Roadrunner ect. You will need the incomming and out going server information SMTP ect. -
Why did the new update for my macbook air hinder my ability to use my camera for google and skype but not photobooth or facetime??? This is messed up it was working yesterday and now neither google or skype can find a camera on from my mac? what do I do??

Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between?
I have a PC that is connected to a switch (A) in a network. Switch A has many switches in between and connects to another switch B. When I did a trace to the server, the last switch I see in the result is switch B. Also, when I checked to which port of switch B that the server was connected, It showed as Po1. When I did a show cdp neighbor for the interfaces for the interfaces involved inthe bundle, I get a switch and then another. Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between? Why did I get an arp on Switch B? Could some one explain?
It's hard to tell, but if you have L2 switches, the addresses on those L2 switches are for management purposes only and you won't see a response from a trace. The only time you'll see a response is when the packet is routed between devices and not switched. You'll get an arp request/response across a single vlan. If you have vlan 10 across 10 switches, all 10 switches will see an arp request because they're broadcasted throughout the whole vlan.

Why did the app store make me purchase Pages again? I already bought Pages, Numbers and Keynote for my Ipad and want to download them onto my Mac Book and they aren't in the purchases tab. I thought I would try clicking on the buy button for Pages, thinking, it would say I already purchased this app, but it didn't. Where are all my purchases? I used the same Apple ID I use for all my Apple devices. Help! I really don't want to buy them all again.
The version of Pages, Keynote and Numbers for the Mac will be different than the iOS version and will require a separate purchase.

Why did the update of my iphone4 to the IOS 6, lose my UTube icon, and was replaced with a Passbook app.
Apple is no longer supporting YouTube with a native application starting with iOS 6.0. The "old" YouTube application was automatically removed when you upgraded, and it no longer exists in the new iOS. There are however, numerous third-party apps in the App Store which will allow you to view YouTube, including one from Google, which is the parent company for YouTube. Passbook is a new application to iOS 6.0 and is not at all related to YouTube.

I usually have iCloud backup but I got a notification that my phone has not backed up for the last two weeks, and It wont let me do it manually.There is also still enough storage space. Why did it all of a sudden stop backing up?
The HT1766 article you attached lists the prerequisites for an iCloud backup:
iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your device using iOS 5 or later. After you have enabled Backup on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in Settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage, it will run on a daily basis as long as your device is:
Connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi
Connected to a power source
Screen locked
You can also back up manually whenever your device is connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup. -

Did you follow the instructions in the message and contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support. If Apple have asked you to contact them, then the issue can only be resolved by them. -

Why did my contacts not download to new iphone, everything else did?
why did my contacts not download to my new iphone via itunes ? everything else did. with my favorites only numbers transferred not names.
For the Contacts (I'm waiting my new 5s) I'm using the free App "MyContactsBakup" (or MCBakup), it works just fine on my iPhone 4.
It works for pics too I guess. It is reliable, it process and send a file attached to a mail with all your contacts (pics, etc.). You open the attachment from your iPhone and add all the contacts again.
Easy and effective, I'm happy with this. -
We have two users that have been using Creative Cloud for almost a year. Recently, sometime in the last 4ish weeks, the users can no longer run Creative Cloud apps. (Yes, our subscription is paid.) Error simply says administrator access is required to install. The apps have already been installed. The users cannot run them unless they are in the local admin group.Using "Run as admin" does not work. It gives the same error.
I have opened a case with adobe support and was basically told to suck it up and put the users in the admin group. Actually, what was said was that it is "mandated that the users have administrative rights".
There are a couple of things wrong with this. It was working for both users until recently - a recent required creative cloud update. The users have never been local admins yet the apps were working (poorly, but working).
We are in an enterprise environment and users simply do not have administrative rights on the computers.
I have changed permissions on all adobe folders, granting users or authenticated users modify or full control rights, did the same in whatever Adobe registry HKLM keys I could find. Nothing has allowed the users to run the apps - unless they are put in the local admin group.
Someone has to have a fix for this. Adobe apps have proved to have far too many vunerabilities to even entertain the idea of elevating user rights. I can't imagine that enterprise environments are allowing this.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.Jeff,
Thank you for your response. The users in question are "standard" domain users. We do not reduce users permissions below the standard level.
The apps do not load with their current standard user permissions.
The thing that makes this odd, is that up until recently they did this issue with cloud apps. The only way I can make it work for them now is to put them in the local administrator group on their pc's - which is not going to happen.
This is what they now see. As I said before, this was not a problem up until recently they would see all their available apps. If I put them in the local admin group the apps are listed without having to install. Everything is there, just not accessible to the user. -
Why did the name on my iCloud photostream change?
I share a photo stream w my family. I just noticed that when I post a picture to it, the name that shows up on the other phones is my wife's name. How and why did this change? It used to post my name. The iCloud/Apple ID is still mine, only the name of the holder changed
Turn Automatic Off, change the time zone and/or go to Set Date & Time and fix it.
