I believe that the person who provides the first reply to the OP's question receives an email from the mods informing them that the thread has been locked. They may sometimes give the reason for this, but often not. Not sure why it seems not to go to the OP?

I'm sorry iPhone users... It really ***** that this happened, but this is exactly why I wouldn't switch from Sprint to get an iPhone. At&t's network simply can't handle the traffic. And the iPhone will never achieve it's potential without a more stable and robust service provider. Sprint would be the best choice, Verizon only other option in the US. Apple went to both of those companies before Cingular/at&t, but they wouldn't agree to Apple's demands. C'mon, Apple. Just make it happen. I'll totally buy one if you do.

Why did the latest update (31.1.2) delete database files for primary email account in profile?

After restarting TB to apply the 31.1.2 update, all of the database files for my primary email account were apparently deleted. Restarting TB again got it to start syncing with the IMAP server again, but it has to download around 100,000 messages again because of this. Was this a design decision or is there a problem with the update itself? And why did it only affect my primary email account and leave the other 4 (much smaller ones) unscathed?

Account5 is the one affected which is still attempting to sync. It also appears that my sync choices were altered without permission or notification. I always keep the Deleted folder and the POP subfolder from Hotmail accounts disabled since it is merely duplicating content in other folders. When re-checking the sync settings because it was taking so long, I found that the POP subfoler was selected for sync again.
The crash report is from a later TB crash, the first one ever on this system.

My iPad has been syncing for 18 hours since I am trying to do the iCloud thing. What happens if I stop the back up process? Getting tired of waiting for it to get done. Could this be caused by the fact that I have 5gb of photos on the iPad ?

Text, the best way is to take screen shots, or if you can forward them to your email. Your notes are either saved by your email or with icoud. They can help you find out where they are saved at.
The resest is easy. I would say it best to also save your photos on your computer as well as a extra back up so you can also see them. Depending if you have Mac use Iphoto and import all photos, Windows use I am drawing a blank, but you can go to your start menue and then your phone will show up as a removable device and then left click and transfer photos and videos.
After that you will be set. But it will take a bit to get all of your text taken care of thought.
Also if you have non-programed email address like Roadrunner ect. You will need the incomming and out going server information SMTP ect.

Which version of Pages 08 do you have? The latest is 3.0.3. If you don't have it you cna get it from here Pages 08 3.0.3

Why is the text box acting so weird??

I am trying to do something simple that I've done a million times in Photoshop CS5 -- create a text box with some text inside. But something is going wrong and I can't quite figure it out...
Notice how the text box is now much larger than the text displayed. I would like to make this text box as wide as the guide aligned with the "Donate" box.
... But when I pull the right middle handlebar in slightly, look what happens to the text:

Did the text come from an email or a word processor? Try cutting and pasting the text into a word processor. Opt for showing all the formatting marks, such as spaces, paragraphs, etc. Delete everything but the text and necessary spaces. Paste it back into a new text box created to the size you want with the text tool. It should now flow to the size of the box. The other option is to retype the text into a properly sized text box, making sure not to use the return button at all. I know this answer doesn't specifically address what is wrong with the box you show, but it should get the text into the shape you want.

Are you sending the texts to his phone number or his Apple ID? It might be that the texts originated from your phone is to his Apple ID and not his phone number and his Apple ID was not registered for the Message app on his phone. So any texts to his Apple ID is not received by his phone.
Can you receive his texts? If yes, then reply back from what he send you and see if he can receive the texts.

Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between?

I have a PC that is connected to a switch (A) in a network. Switch A has many switches in between and connects to another switch B. When I did a trace to the server, the last switch I see in the result is switch B. Also, when I checked to which port of switch B that the server was connected, It showed as Po1. When I did a show cdp neighbor for the interfaces for the interfaces involved inthe bundle, I get a switch and then another. Why did the trace NOT show the other switches in between? Why did I get an arp on Switch B? Could some one explain?

It's hard to tell, but if you have L2 switches, the addresses on those L2 switches are for management purposes only and you won't see a response from a trace. The only time you'll see a response is when the packet is routed between devices and not switched. You'll get an arp request/response across a single vlan. If you have vlan 10 across 10 switches, all 10 switches will see an arp request because they're broadcasted throughout the whole vlan.

However, using Orwellian language ("basic" = much less service for dramatically more money - compared with "plus") is just not a good idea.
I get that Adobe wants to go from sales to rental, from products to services. You acheived your virtual monopoly position by making and integrating great software. Your biggest competition is usually your own earlier releases. I get it. You need cash flow.

If you are referring to actual SMS messages and not iMessages, then you would need to take that up with your carrier. SMS is a carrier function, which uses the cellular network and they maintain it. You would need to troubleshoot with them.
