Why didn't I get any discs with my computer?

I got a new Macbook Pro and I didn't recieve any discs and someone I know has an older Macbook Pro and got discs with theirs so I was wondering what happened to those discs and why I didn't get any.

New Macs have Lion pre-installed and come with no discs. Reinstalling uses the Internet Recovery:
OS X Lion- About Lion Recovery
You restore Lion or perform repairs and reinstalls from the Recovery HD:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

your Macbook Pro should have came with some discs. One for Installing the OSx and the other for applications. You must find these 2 discs to fully install the software on your computer. That is all I can suggest.

Sorry this may sound a bit stupid but do you get any discs at all with a new iMac, such as restore discs if anything goes wrong?

I just purchased a new Imac yesterday, this is the first time with an Imac so please be gentle with me. Insertion of APDivs/Layers are deprecated in CC. Historically, APDivs caused many, many problems for people who didn't understand they were not intended to be used as a primary layout tool. Look at FluidGrid Layouts.

for more than 2 years we've repeatedly asked for our comcast tv and internet to be fixed. for 2 years it's been the same thing, change the box and say everything is fine, when it's not. for the last month there have been multiple appontments made with none kept and with no call. no one seems to know a thing or even care and it's gotten way too old, to the point of cancelling and moving on to fios/verizon. so I ask why can't we get any help?. we've asked for an upgrade, no past money is due, can't play video games live (runs too slow) things just do not work as advertised and again no one here or where ever our calls are sent to seems to care. it's we'll send someone on this date and then they don't show, call again and the same thing. 5 times in the month of July alone.

Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.

I went through updates on my three newest Macs this week. As I stated I'm talking about iTunes 10.5.1 (42). I am checking for updates now and I see 10.5.2 is now available. I'll know in about 15 minutes if this issue is fixed or not.

I must have updated this PPC G5 a day or two before iTunes 10.5.2 came out. I was able to update to 10.5.2 (11) and this copy/paste bug is fixed. I'm happy again.

Do you still have the original plastic shipping cover on the face of the iPhone? Or any kind of screen protector that covers the speaker ear hole. That will block the sound.
My wife experienced this.
Also if you still have the shipping plastic on the back, it will cause the camera flash to spill back into the camera lense spoiling your pictures.
