Why didnt my pre order of an album work?

I pre ordered the album LONG.LIVE.A$AP by asap rocky which came out today janurary 15th.  I placed my order near the end of december and have been waiting a while for this album.  I checked to see if it had downloaded this morning and when i checked it still only showed up as a pre order in my "downloads" section on my phone.  I went to the album to try and just buy the whole thing again but it wouldnt let me purchase it, where the $11.99 tab usually is it said "downloaded".  when in fact it most certainly wasnt downloaded.  what do i do to get this album?

Just look at you're account using the computer, it's there under manage preorders.. mine said 1 preorder for deadmau5

    Why did I pre-order this album so I can hear it as soon as it came out but I'm all over apple trying to figure out why the heck it won't download!!!! Thats completely asinine and I'm highly upset it, if this problem isn't fixed by morning further action will be taken. This phone cost to much to have any petty flaws, like really why couldn't I have just waited until i woke up the next morning to buy it if this was going to be such a Hassle.   • Can't Pre-Order new Coldplay Album!!

    I hope someone can help with this.
    I am trying to pre order the coldplay album Viva la vida and get the single thats out now. When I go to press pre order I get the following message: "Are you sure you want to pre-order "Viva la Vida? Your account will be charged...etc"
    I click "Pre-Order"
    Next window says: "Warning: Your remaining credits are insufficient or inapplicable to this purchase....Your credit card will be charged for some or all of this purcahse."
    I click "Get"
    Next window says: "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (1008). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
    I bang head against table....
    Anyone know what to do from here?? I can download anything else except this album. Thanks!

    I had the problem of getting my pre-order this morning so I went to the iTunes Support and left a message. An hour and a half later, I was able to download it BUT it was the regular version and not the higher quality iTunes Plus version. So I put another request in to them about that. Still waiting to hear from them. My download did include the acoustic track though.

    Pre-orders download on their own if automatic downloads are enabled.  However, sometimes you need to check for available downloads.  Make sure to check your iTunes library to see if the album is there.  I have experienced an issue a couple weeks ago for a Pre-order album not downloading and stating it was purchased.  I would recommend canceling the Pre-order and download it again as it most likely has not been charged.  This article will walk you though the process.

  • Why hasnt my pre-ordered Springsteen album downloaded yet?

    I pre-ordered this 3-4 weeks ago and it should have downloaded at 12:01am today, it's release date. Instead, here I sit more then 16 hours later and nothing. Whats up? Whats my incentive to using pre-order?

    You may want to read the post from BluesyGirl on the following thread concerning the response from the store about the delays on the Springsteen pre-order. It appears you may be waiting awhile. This is why I went out & bought the CD today.

  • HT201272 I pre ordered Avicii's album, it says purchased but not showing up in my purchased folder and not allowing me to download. Just says purchased

    As I said I pre-ordered the album, however I had already bought the two songs (Wake Me Up and You Make Me).When the preorder went through in the first place, it was not showing up as a download, it showed up as an iCloud download. I thought it was weird however I still went forward and downloaded it. Wasn't a huge deal but the two singles werent showing up as part of the album, they were the singles. That bugged me so I thought deleting them all and re downloading them would work and I would have the whole album instead of a part album and two singles. However, now in iTunes it says that the album (True) is purchased and there is no way of re-downloading. It is not showing up as a purchase anywhere else though... I've gone to the iTunes front page, went to the purchased tabs and it says the last purchased song was "Skip to the Good Bit" by Rizzle Kicks (good song btw). On my iPod there it is not in recently listened to or added< almost no record that I've bought these songs. I would even re-purchase. I wouldn't entirely want to, but thats not even an option...

  • Pre-ordered an entire album, but was only refunded for one song

    on 7/24/14 I pre-ordered TRXYE by Troye Sivan. I got an email saying that something happened and I was getting a refund. I was only refunded for one song. I got a refund for Happy Little Pill, but not the rest of the album. I payed $4.95 for the entire album, and only got $1.29 back. Either I need the entire album free, or the rest of the refund.

    How many tracks had been released from the album ? When you pre-order an album (and similarly for any other item) you are not charged for it, you are only charged for the album (or individual tracks) when they are released and you download them - so if only the one track had been released then you will only have been charged for that track, in which case what you have been refunded is correct.

    What are the reasons behind pre-ordering a movie rather than waiting for its release?   If you pre-order, does the movie automatically download into your iTunes library upon release?

    On Friday, April 4, I went into my local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) to pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S5.  The order was placed and I was given a copy of the receipt which looked very accurate.  The sales rep had read back to me the Bill To and Ship To address in the store, and it was correct, but didn't show up on the receipt given.  When the confirmation e-mail came to me, I noticed that the Ship To info had my company name, and an address, but my name appeared nowhere on it.  I called to question this when the store opened on April 7, and all of the answers were "I don't know.  I'll have to research and get back to you."  When there were no calls returned I checked again and received the same response.  When I left my office for the day, I still had zero answers.
    I drove to the same local store and re-hashed what I'd tried to accomplish during the morning.  I was told there was no way to amend the shipping label once the order was input, despite the fact NO orders for this phone have yet to be fulfilled, since they are still in the warehouse.  I work in a nine story building with every single office working for the same global company.  There is no chance whatsoever that the FedEx delivery would ever make it to me without my name being on the label.  I don't even think FedEx would try.  It was just foolishness at the time the order was originally input (by the Verizon Store).
    During the morning there was mention of possibly cancelling the entire order and starting from scratch, which I was totally OK with, as even that delay would be quicker than someone signing for the box and it sitting God Knows Where for days/weeks.  When I said we should re-visit that option, I was now informed that it is a "Verizon Policy" to avoid fraud and NO pre-order phone could be delivered to any address except the account address of the phone owner.  That was surprising to hear since it had been done (albeit incorrectly) just a couple of days earlier.  The answer to that was, "Oh, she made a mistake in trying a work-around".  Since I was recording our complete interaction (love that feature on my current phone), I asked manager Mike to verify a third time that he could not send a phone to my office address where I am during FedEx hours, and I could not adjust the existing order to come to the store for pickup.  The answers were No and No.
    My last two Verizon phones were shipped to my office, but I do understand that some company policies do change.  I just think this is a doofus change.  I also think it was pretty foolish for the original sales rep to miss putting a person's name on the shipping label.  I have trouble believing that the computer order system would even allow her to make that mistake.  But Verizon is in phone sales exclusively and not in the corporate shipping business.  Perhaps this is some needed training.

    Epilogue:
    My problem has been solved, and I'm now happy to have my pre-order of the new Samsung Galaxy device completed in a way that totally satisfies me.  But I am kicking myself for not going this route in the first place.  I won't make that mistake again in the future FOR SURE.
    After the manager in the local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) said there was nothing he/they could do to overcome the error made earlier by their store sales representative, because it was a pre-order and nothing can be changed/corrected for the initial input.  They had failed to put my name on the shipping label requested for FedEx delivery, meaning that the box containing my phone would probably NEVER reach my hands once if was delivered to a nine-story office building with many many employees.
    I simply went to my local BestBuy store and mentioned I had a very few questions to be answered prior to attempting to place a pre-order of my new Samsung phone.  I asked if the phone could be set for delivery to my office and the answer was a quick YES.  I asked if the phone could be set for pickup at the BB store and, again, the answer was a quick YES.  They were initially surprised to hear that any company would say otherwise. BestBuy requires a photo ID when they take a phone order, and a signature is required when FedEx makes its delivery, so they assured me the Verizon "Fraud Policy" quoted to me was not a standard retail answer AT ALL.  Thirteen minutes after I walked to the mobile phone department, I was walking out with all my confirmation details for a new phone.  The purchase was less out-of-pocket since BB doesn't do that VZW arrangement of paying $50 extra and then getting that back as a mail-in rebate later.  Seems no other carrier except VZW is charging that extra fee for this new device.  On top of that savings, BB gives you a $10 gift card just for doing the pre-order with them.  Bonus!!
    I may (or may not) receive my phone a few days later than those ordering at the Verizon Store, but in my situation I was assured to get mine late due to the shipping label error.  No matter what, I'm going to be pleased with my purchase, and BestBuy just earned additional respect with the way they accurately handled my Verizon purchase.  VZW it still a quality mobile phone provider, but (in my personal opinion) they are extremely weak in the guest service side of the business . . . which almost negates those other positive things.

  • Why is the track order of my album being played out of order?

    The track order of my album appears correct in iTunes and on my iPod Classic 160 but.......... it plays the tracks out of order. frustrating when listening to stand up comedies.... I checked the "info" of each album and the track listing/order is correct..... help?

    Have you checked your iPod's Settings to make sure the Shuffle setting is set to Off.

    I'm sorry you haven't been able to cancel your orders as you would have liked. Per BestBuy.com, in most cases, items for shipping can be canceled within 30 minutes of placing the order. In your most recent order, it had begun processing within an hour, after which even our moderators or BestBuy.com representatives are unable to cancel it. I see that it was delivered today. As poprex911 stated, you'll get your refund quickest by taking it to your local store with your order receipt, credit card and ID - this usually reflects in your account within 2-3 business days - or you can mail it back and your refund will be processed once it is received.

  • My pre-order cancellation isn't working!!

    I recently pre ordered an album on itunes but then changed my mind and want to cancel it. I went into my account and went into 'manage my pre orders' and cancelled it that way. However, i then searched the album and it told me that it was still pre ordered. I do not want it any more and I don't want to have to pay for it when it is released. I have also tried signing out and then back in, and also turning my lap top on and off again. HELP!!!

    Never mind! Mine fixed its self when i went back into itunes.

  • Anyone have their iPhone 5 pre-order shipping confirmation and working tracking link yet?

    For anyone pre-ordering an iPhone 5, please post when you have a UPS/Fedex shipping tracking link that actually works and indicates that your iPhone 5 is in transit and whether or not it is scheduled to be delivered on Friday the 21st to coincide with when the iPhone 5 will be available in stores.  And did you pre-order through the Apple store or through one of the carriers, e.g. Verizon or AT&T?  And did you pre-order early on Friday the 14th or are you hours or days back in the pre-order queue?

    Wahoo! Just finished up my pre-order on Verizon's site. (Apple site still displaying "We'll be back" page as of 3:18 AM EST).  Definitely says 9/21 DELIVERY, not SHIPPING ...
