Why do accepted meeting notifications stay in my iphone 4s inbox?

The meetings are there - I just cant get rid of them out of my calendar inbox. It says "OK" as the only option (not Accept, Decline or Tentative), but when I hit OK, it flashes nicely... then remains. Help!?

Now it seems to only be calendar invites coming from one specific person, and not all calendar invites that this person sends get stuck here.
To confirm, my iphone 4s calendar, synced with Outlook, does not allow me to "OK" (and make disappear). My calendar inbox icon says I have (4) new invites. Help still?

What do you mean by, "it won't stay on," exactly?

  • Why won't my "notes" stay on the IPhone 5

Being a new user for the IPhone, I figured I did something wrong when my "notes" disappeared.  I recreated them and watched them disappear before my eyes.  Is there a setting I am missing?

First of all, because you wrote, in effect, that you are having trouble "even though I sent $5.00 to Firefox," I want to assure you that the folks at Firefox and at Adblock are not conspiring to do bad things to users who do not send them money, which they then suspend when you send them enough. So please send any donation because you care (you seem to) and not out of fear (as you wrote, perhaps in haste).
As for your question about Adblock Plus, one question in advance, please. At the upper right of your screen, just to the right of the search engine box, can you see the letters "ABP" inside a red stop-sign shape? This is one sign that Adblock Plus is installed. Similarly, under the Firefox menu item View, perhaps the fourth option down from the top, can you see Adblock Plus: Blockable Items"? It should be there. Also, under the Firefox menu item Tools, can you see Adbock Plus Preferences'? Finally, also under Tools, when you open Add-ons, is Adblock Plus in the list that appears?
These are clues to let us know for sure that Adblock Plus is actually installed or not, which will help others help you.

  • Having to re-accept meeting requests on iPhone after initial acceptance in Outlook

I've searched these forums for awhile and all syncing issues seem to dance around the actual issue I'm having.
Currently have an iPhone 4 running IOS 6.1.2. Business is running Microsoft Outlook 2007 and I'm connecting to Exchange through OWA.. I have no syncing issues when creating meeting requests from my phone or vice versa like others have had and I have not had any issues with meetings being deleted.
However, since updating from IOS 5 to IOS 6, I do have an issue where if I accept a meeting request inside of Outlook, it does not sync and clear out the meeting request as "accepted" on my iPhone. The only way to remove the notification is to select the request in the calendar and accept it a 2nd time and thereby sending a 2nd acceptance to the meeting organizer.
I've tried everything from changing Outlook settings in order to delete meeting invitations after acceptance to the numerous suggestions found in these forums though none specifically solve this particular issue.
Any help or direction to the thread where this might be solved would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Has anyone figured out a solution to this yet? I have an iPhone 5s and an iPad Mini. I have my Outlook 2010 calendars synced on both my iPhone and iPad Mini. If I accept a meeting request in Outlook, it still appears in the Inbox in my calendar on both my iPhone and iPad Mini. If I accept the meeting request on my iPhone, it still appears in my Inbox on my calendar on my iPad Mini.
I have my Outlook set to delete meeting requests/invites after I have accepted them, and that works in Outlook, yet they still remain on my iDevices. I have restarted both devices, and I have backed up iCloud again on both devices. I don't want to have to accept meeting requests on both my iPhone and iPad each time I receive them because that makes me look foolish. I also don't want to see the meeting requests in my Inbox on my iPad after I already accepted it on my iPad because the little number 1 in the red circle (signifying an alert on my calendar) is annoying.
Who can solve this problem so that after I accept a meeting request in Outlook, that invite does not appear anymore in my Inbox for my iPhone and iPad calendars? Please! Thank you in advance.

  • Hi im staying in UAE, why doesnt my interactive notification work with other apps like facebook?

why doesnt my interactive notification work with other apps like facebook?
its only working with the message app notifications.

Sounds like the iPhone is carrier locked with Vodafone and if so, it can't be used with another carrier's SIM card.
If so, only Vodafone can officially unlock the iPhone or send the unlock request to Apple.

  • HT2480 Is there a way to clear the calendar invitations from the iPhone invite inbox when the Meeting is accepted by a delegate?

I am running an Exchange / Outlook 2010 environment with many mobile users accessing email and calendars with iPhones.  Senior Executives have delegated their Calendars to Executive Assistants, who manage them mostly from Outlook.  When Meeting requests arrive for the executives, their assistants Accept, Decline or mark as Tentative as the calendar allows.
The executives have only their mail account on their iPhone.  The assistants have both their account and the executive's Exchange ActiveSync account on their phones.  When the request is handled and a Send Response Now is submitted, the calendar invitation does not get cleared from the Senior Executive's Calendar invitation inbox, or the Calendar invitation inbox on their assistant's phone (which is to say, the Senior Executive's Calendar, which is a secondary calendar at this point) but it does show up properly on their Calendar.  It seems the cache doesn't know that the request has been handled and does not clear the flag.
Other than turning off the Calendar, deleting the ActiveSync data and downloading fresh data, is there a way to correct this?  I have tried multiple switches and settings, notifications, etc.  I have even dabbled in Outlook's Rules, since this is where the delegation occurs.  Once a Meeting is accepted, how can it be cleared in the inbox?  This is not a badge, as I've turned off badges.
It affects not only the iPhone 4 and 5, but also iPads and iPad Minis running iOS 6.0.1 or better.

I have similar issue.  Sharing calendars in the house hold and when I did it lit up my calendars inbox with 21 messages and no way to clear them. Hope this is fixed in the next iOS release.

  • Meeting notifications are not showing up

In Leopard, when I receive a new meeting notification in Mail and I go to iCal, the meeting is there, but nothing shows up in the notification area. I don't have anyway to accept or decline a meeting. What's going on? Any suggestions?

According to Apple, there is a bug when Leopard and Tiger send invites back and forth-(on with support for 3 hours--Leopard gets an OK button from Tiger instead of Accept, Tentative, Reject choices)-and now since upgrading to Leopard (Leopard to Leopard events) I have found that there is a problem when I get an event response in mail (the checkbox to automatically send to iCal is checked in Preferences), but the notifications box is only registering a few of several responses--it doesn't update the attendees status even though there is a response in mail. Any ideas?

  • How to stop iCal from rudely sending accept/decline notifications?

How do you stop iCal from rudely sending accept/decline notifications without my permission? And why would anyone at Apple think it's a good idea impose this on us without giving an obvious to turn it off?
Okay you don't have answer the second question but you really have to wonder what someone was thinking?!

Totally agree with you. Very annoying (and embarrassing) when I'm cleaning up old Calendar entries - sometimes from months ago! - and my colleagues start receiving 'Declined' messages.
Why would one put in functionality (without the ability to switch it off!) like this???

    Hello,
Unfortunatelly there is no option to automatically reload the sequences that got modified outside the current application.
I'm not quite sure why you are getting this message. However, since you mentioned you modified the process model, I have a couple of suggestions:
    1) Make sure you are not modifing your sequences at runtime. Usually you get this message when you modify properties under SequenceFile. This is the File object and if you change it, TS may reload it.
    2) When you call your sequences, also make sure you have the same prototype for the parameters your sequence is expecting and the ones you are sending.
Maybe you can gice us some more details about how you executing this sequences and how you modified the process model.

  • Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear.

Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear.  I have downloaded and installed flash player several times on my Win7 Vaio laptop. I have uninstalled and deleted all versions.  I am the administrator and I have also turned off my Security Software, but the same thing keeps happening over and over.  The Java Script is enabled and I have tried both downloading via IE and firefox.  It is rediculous that it keeps disappearing and I keep getting messages that the newest version is needed.  I am downloading directly from adobe and they say it is the latest.  Getting very frustrated.  They ask if we have any problems when we go to the finish line, but there is no place for comments.  I guess they don't really care if it works or not.

So is it actually installed, or is it not?  If not, download and run the offline installers:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
If it still does not work correctly, check

In Firefox also check if the Shockwave Flash plugin is enabled.

  • Why does the amber light stay on even though the WiFi works?

    My WIFi just stopped yesterday.
Initially nothing worked. I then Restarted the router—then the Airport Extreme–NOTHING.  I called Apple support. He had me push the re-start button and a few other things.  I can now get on WIFi, but the amber light still stays on. Why? Although my Mac works great, my iPhone doesn't.
    Any ideas?

I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
    Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref:Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

  • Meeting entries not showing on iPhone - accepted on PC.

    Hi,
Whenever an employee at work accepts a meeting from his PC (running Office2007) the meeting will not show up on his iPhone (4S.)
    We are using Exchange2008.
If he accepts the meeting on his phone, the meeting shows up on both iPhone and PC.
We have tried to hide/show all calendars, remove calendars, remove email account from phone etc.
Also tried to open meeting and accept (not accepting from the preview pane in Outlook)
    This is really annoying.
Any idea what causes this to happen?
    Thanks,
    Regards,

I'm having this same problem. Suddenly no shared libraries can be seen. At first I thought it might be a software issue (all computers have been upgraded to iTunes 7.1.1). But now from reading this, I think it must be a router issue. I just replaced our router this week, switching out a Linksys 4-port router for another one almost identical. I did no configuration to the router, just plugged it in, reset it a few times, and it worked. I connect to my ISP via DHCP, so no settings required.
But it must be the new router that's causing the iTunes problem. Does anyone know of a router configuration that might help? Maybe some port forwarding? Does anyone know the port over which itunes would be sharing its library?
