    What do you mean by "close"? Your open applications stay open when you put your computer to sleep. However, if you have an app like iMovie open, for example, and you are exporting a video, than exporting will pause when your computer is asleep.

    Acrobat Reader is installed on my bosses laptop.
    She stated that pop-up windows and issues were occuring with her new Samsung laptop. After uninstalling some non-reliable programs, all of the desktop shortcuts still displayed the Acrobat Reader image. I tried opening various files on the desktop and in the programs under 'start'. All of these files are directing the programs to open using Acrobat Reader. I am unaware if an update took place, as it's not my laptop.
    Did an update cause this issue? How would a setting be chosen for all program files to open with the reader? I understand a prompt about a file type not recognized by the computer and doesn't know what program should be used, but everything?
    What do I do? I am nervous to uninstall the reader, as it's tied to every program, factory installed and personally installed. If it was an update, how would it have done this to the machine?
    Please HELP!!

This doesn't work with Mozilla, and I am always asked to select a program to open the file. Can I use Firefox, and still get all files with a TIF extension to open into Photoshop when I click on them? Thanks!

    To change the program that .indd files default to when opened in OSX, right click on the .indd file > Open With > Other.
    Then navigate to the version of InDesign that you want to open them with (I have CS6 installed but its the same for CS5). Make sure you have "Always Open With" selected.

    It may take a few tries to figure out why this is happening. I suggest you start with a simple step. Back up all data. Rebuild the mailbox.

    Hi! i was just wondering if i could get some help with a problem i've been getting since yesterday.
    Before yesterday morning, my photoshop was working just fine but then yesterday morning when i opened this image.
    It would look like this
    instead of it looking like the first image above, the thing though is when i export the image from photoshop as a png, jpeg or any other it looks normal again like this.
    This is the first time this has ever happened so i'm not really sure about what to do.
    I'm using photoshop cs6 and i've also uninstall and reinstall photoshop about 2 times now but it doesn't fix it
    so if anyone can help me that would be great.

    Yes.  They don't make any sense to me either.  Are we supposed to be looking at a blank dark gray rectangle, or has the upload process failed the OP ?

    When I am opening images in Photoshop now they are desaturated. I can open images that are 5 years old and it does it for every one. I thought it was a Photomatix issue but realized it happens with every image in my catalog

    As far as I know, we can use the different templates among the different Visio 2013 versions. Based on my test, Visio 2013 Standard version lists the unavailable templates category. Unfortunately， we can't use the stencils which are available in

    Installed Snow Leopard, now all files in all programs super slow to open and save - Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark -- all now at least 4-5X slower to open files and save -- here's what I've tried so far:
    repaired permissions
    emptied font cache - restarted up in safe mode
    re installed Snow Leopard
    renamed old preferences and restarted to create new prefs
    I'm hating Snow Leopard -- eeesh -- this is no upgrade, just a big waste of time and money, any ideas?

    Open System Preferences > Users & Groups then select the Login Items tab.
    Remove all apps listed there.
    And check /Library/StartupItems
    Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
    Type or copy paste the following:
    /Library/StartupItems
    Click Go then move all items from the StartupItems folder to the Trash.
