Why do Apple notifications appear in French?

Emails sent to me from "[email protected]" notifying changes to my iCloud account are in French - why? and how can this be changed to English?

Go to:
Apple - My Apple ID
https://appleid.apple.com/
Sign in with your Apple ID and on the left hand column the last item is "Language and Contact Preferences"
You'll be able to change your "Preferred Language" there. As soon as you begin typing the choices will apear.

"Pin code box" - are you referring to entering your password for App Store or iTunes purchases? if so, this is normal. Do you really have people looking over your shoulder when making purchases. They would also have to watch your fingers to see what password you're typing as it is NOT mirrord.

This is a user to user forum. Apple isn't here and won't answer you. You need to contact Apple directly. You can use the Contact button at the bottom of the screen.

Why doesn't apple tv appear when playing video in safari?

Hi Guys:
     I just bought an apple tv. I am able to use the mirroring function with no problem, and I can see the apple tv in the "Airplay" menu.
     But When i play a video in safari(mirroring turned off), I can not see my apple TV in the "AirPlay" menu.
      So my question is : why doesn't apple tv appear when playing video in safari?
Does the same thing happen to you guys??
btw, I just dont want to mirroring when play a video in safari, that's why i'm asking this question

Experiencing the same issue. Everything used to just work. I'm up to date on *everything* and it's all apple devices (airport extreme, appletv, 2 macbook pro lion, iphone4s, ipad).
My gut says it's the AppleTV since it happens from both laptops that have itunes.
Let me know if you find a fix.

How are you trying to install Lion 10.7.3? Where did you get that version as the current download version is 10.7.4.
Why are you installing 10.7.3? What OS X version was on the computer before you started this install?

I am sure they will say it is in the small print and you should have read it and what you got was these 'Really Cool Trailers'......but come on Apple - don't screw up your BRAND now if you carry on you will have a core problem! My trust is waning.

etresoft, I think you are being unnecessarily harsh to gloriastitz. She is frustrated and doesn't understand computers at the level you do. What she is experiencing is frustrating, so she is frustrated. I have been a help-desk professional for over 15 years now, and emotions are part of the business.
I know it has been over 6 months since gloriastitz posted her reply. I hope she got a useful answer, but I fear we have satisfactorily scared her away from seeking help.
So, the first best response to tell someone is that the problem they are experience is almost certainly fixable, but may require more information to solve. You tell them you understand their frustration (even if you personally don't experience frustration or don't understand why people my express frustration publicly about a problem that frustrates them). It's just good protocol.
Then you work with the person to break down the problem into steps. If you don't have a ready answer and don't think you might even know the answer with sufficient data, then back out and leave it to others to tackle.
I've been having a similar problem with my Mail program. The cause is still unclear to me after vieweing the logs and changing settings where I know them to be. There appears to be a setting that is not clearly placed in any of the typical UI locations for initiating the desired action for either a feed: or mailto: call.

Did you try a hard reset? Hold the On button and the Home button until it powers down but continue to hold until it begins to power up again. See if that brings any success.

If the Apple logo is flashing on your iPhone 4, you may need to put the iPhone in recovery mode so that you can restore it. The article below explains how:

Why do Facebook notifications pop up even when notifications are off?

This is with my iPad 2 running iOS 6.1.
I get notifications from FaceBook popping up in the middle of my screen. But in Settings > Notifications I have it set to Manually and FaceBook is "Not in Notification Center" plus under FaceBook I have Notification Center turned OFF and alert style set to None.
So why do notifications appear?

I have an Apple ID that is based on an External to Apple email address.
I registered this for iCloud and got an @me.com name at the time.
I later got an @iCloud.com Email Address as well.
I can access here to post, iTunes and App Store with any of these ID/Names and access my Apple Account.
They have a common Password.
In iMessages I use the external to Apple email.
I use the same one on my main iPhone.
This Number is then listed in my iMessages Settings
On my second iPhone I used the @me.com email as the Apple ID
iMessages treats them separately to a certian extent.
It does however keep asking me to Add the (2nd) iPhone Number and the linked Apple ID to the iMessages settings on the Mac (and now and then to the 1st iPhone as well).
Despite me refusing the pop ups that link them when they arrive the @me.com emails shows up as an "Alias" on the Mac's iMessages account.
I am wondering if something similar to this is what has happened to you ?
It could be you have older @mac.com names or even @me.com ones that were originally linked sub accounts (Family account sub emails) ?
In the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder enter ~/Library/Preferences into the Dialogue box.
(you can Copy from here and Paste there)
Find the com.apple.iMessages.bag.plist and delete it on the Macs that have the IDs you don't want to use on that machine.
This will remove emails and iPhone numbers so you may have to reset your own iPhone to then Accept the pops ups when they appear.

HT4623 "Connect to itunes for push notifications" appear on the Whatapps screen repeatedly after my iPhone 4 was upgraded with IOS 7.0.4.

After my iPhone 4 was upgraded to IOS 7.0.4, some of the apps cannot be used instantly as before. For example, the Whatapps does not alert unless I open the apps manually. Then a message "Connect to itunes for push notifications" appear. Even I tried connect to itunes for sync again, this problem still cannot be resolved. The same problem applies to some other apps like Runkeeper. Don't know why.

Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Why wont apple let me get an apple ID without a "no credit card" suggestion in the payment method?
I dont buy my apps and I dont understand why my sister (and other people) were able to make an apple ID without putting a credit card.
Though I can enter my apple ID account when it comes to the game center, when I try to download an app that problem always appears. So now I'm using my sister's ID, but I really want to have my own.

Follow it through to the payment methods and choose None if it is available.

The kit is firmly inserted in thhe iPad's dock ? You could also try a reset and see if it's recognised after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
I haven't had problems using the kit with SD cards from Canon cameras . What capacity is the card, and it's an SD or SDHC card - if it's an SDXC card that's formatted as ExFAT then it won't be recognised
