Why do i always create recovered photos folder every time i start up iPhoto?

Every time i open iPhoto '09 IO get a message that says, "74 ITEMS WERE FOUND IN IPHOTO LIBRARY THAT HAVE NOT BEEN IMPORTED, WOULD YOU LIKE TO IMPORT NOW?" I have tried to import and also cancel and it keeps coming up. What an annoyance!! How do I remove this because it creates a recovered photo folder in my library each time... It has done this ever since I bought the program just didn't have time to ask for help! LOL

Right Click - point to the iPhot library (by default in your pictures folder) and click on the right mouse button (or control - click for a single button mouse - or two finger click for a default track pad
You may want to invest in a couple of basic training classes

Why does stuffit open and create a new folder every time I save a pages document?

Because you are saving it to the desktop, Pages documents are actually zipped files and Stuffit is set to uncompress desktop files.
Either don't save to the desktop (bad practice) or check the preferences in Stuffit to see if you can turn off unstuff files on desktop.

• Why am I getting a terminal 80x24 screen every time I start up my iMac?

Is there a setting so this window doesn't pop up anymore? It started to pop -up out of the blue, not sure why? And now I can't seem to get rid of it. I have pulled it from the dock, as was suggested in one of the forums, but it seems to re-appear every time I start up.
Any ideas? What do I need to do to get rid of the unix shell on start up?
Cheers,
Chris

Why am I getting a "terminal-bash 80x24 screen"?
Why not?
Your question is unclear.
Are you saying, out of no where, the Terminal opens and you now have this strange window on your display?
Are you saying, you want to know why your Terminal window is 80 columns wide, but 24 lines tall?
Are you saying, you want to know why bash is your Unix shell?
Are you saying, when you launch Terminal, you have a message on the screen or in the title bar saying: "terminal-bash 80x24 screen"?
Can you clarify?

• Why do I have to enable photo stream every time I reboot?

It seems that every time I reboot and then launch Aperture, Aperture asks me if I want to enable photostream. When I hit yes I have to re-download all of the images in my photostream. Has anybody noticed that Aperture always resets this photostream setting periodically If so, is there a known fix?

Well the iCloud compatible version of Aperture was never released to devs so that's why I posted here. originally but it might be worth asking if it turns out tha tonly devs are having this problem.
I'm running the final release version of 10.7.2 but that was upgraded from the beta release, and of course the final iCloud compatible release version of Aperture too.

• Firefox creates a new folder every time it is launched.

Every time Firefox is launched it creates a new profile.
I have uninstalled and removed all reg keys / directories including:
HKLM\Software\Mozilla
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Mozilla
HKCU\SOftware\Mozilla
%APPDATA%\local\mozilla
%APPDATA%\roaming\mozilla
%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\Mozilla
I am on Windows 8 but also have users experiencing this on Windows 7
I have switched between different version 32 & 35
Any help is appreciated.

That sound rather unusual.
Temporarily removing or renaming ''profiles.ini'' is a recognised method of forcing Firefox to create a new profile. The ''profiles.ini'' may be deliberately edited to point to or even to create new profiles.
*Please post the content of the present locked ''profiles.ini''
and the ''profiles.ini'' content that results after it is unlocked and allowed a few restarts. (edit for privacy reasons if necessary e.g. to remove actual real names).
*Try temporarily renaming profiles.ini to profiles.ini.faulty1 whilst Firefox is closed.
**What happens on restarting Firefox ? without profiles.ini
I would expect it to create a new profiles.ini and a new default profile.
My first guess is this may be due to malware.

• How can I stop Firefox asking to install things from its extension folder every time it starts up?

This happens with both versions of Firefox 3.6.28 and 22. (I have removed the latest version because I had so much trouble with it and no, I don't want it back and I am fully aware of the dangers the old versions put me in, thank you!) I have tried to delete the things from the extension folder, but the items it is asking to install aren't in there.
I am using XP with SP3.

This can happen if you use the same profile folder with different Firefox versions (i.e. the version listed in compatibility.ini is different).
You should always use separate profiles for each Firefox version.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

See "Corrupt extension files":
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

• IPhoto downloads the entire Photo Stream every time it starts. How can I stop this? Can iPhoto only download the photos on Photo Stream that are new only?

iPhoto downloads the Photo Stream. No problem.
I quit the program, turn the computer off.
Next day, I turn the computer on and start iPhoto, and it downloads the entire Photo Stream library again. It just takes time for iPhoto to download the entire library every day. Can't it just remember the pictures it downloaded and just download the new ones?

Both my computers do this. I tried to rebuild my library and even re-installed iphoto, but neither fixes the problem. Very frustrating.

• Why do I have to log into CC every time I start my PC?

I am the only one that uses my PC, I don't want to have to look up my lastpass password every morning when I log in. I have tried reinstalling, deleting folders in the Program Data folders etc and nothing works. Any assistance or update on an upcoming feature would be greatly appreciated. I find it funny that the Adobe website can keep me logged in weeks after signing in but the desktop application can't manage to do that.

I don't have that problem. This solution was posted by Rajshree in the Creative Cloud Forum.
Rename the SLStore to SLStore.old from this Location
Windows:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe
Mac:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Once done please rename OOBE to OOBE.old from this Location
Windows:
C:\Users\(Your Username)\AppData\Local\Adobe

The problem is that I have 35,000 photos and every time I start it runs for a long time and most time does not add any thing
Can some help explain is there a way to stop or control this ?
Thanks ..

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.
If you can't make the changes then you need to start Windows Explorer as Administrator.
Whenever I try to open iPhoto, a message comes up saying that 148 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that have not been imported. It asks me if I want to import them and I say NO but then it places them in a recovered photo folder. I keep deleting the empty recovered photo files but it just keeps asking me every time I go to open iPhoto! I'd love to just get rid of the "found" photos (I can't open them anyway!)
How do I get rid of them so that I can just open iPhoto straight up without this?
Linda

Open your iPhoto Library package with the Finder.
look for a folder titled Import or Importing and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto to see if the message goes away. If there is no message check the contents of the Import folder to see if you want to keep any of those image files (usually they have not been imported into iPhoto). If you want to keep them then drag the folder into the open iPhoto window to import.

• What shall I do with the hundreds of files in the iPhoto Recovered Photos folder.

There are hundreds of files in this folder, mostly tiff files but some are png files. They are not my photos, they seem to be buttons, background etc. What are these? Can I delete them? There hasn't been anything added to this folder since July 2012. Almost all of it is from 7th, 8th, 10th July 2011.
I thought I should check before I delete them.

You can delete the contents of the recovered photos folder if you do not want the photos there
No system elements are stored in the iPhoto library - as I said if you have not need for them them delete them

• Every time I start up Firefox, it always prompts me to reisntall the same pile of add-ons and extentions; I install them; still happens; why?

Regarding Firefox 16.0.2. Every time I start up Firefox, especially after a period with my comp in standby mode, I am always asked to install several add-ons and extentions. Always the same ones, and always several. I install them, again and again, yet I am still always prompted to reinstall every time I start Firefox. I've always had this batch installed, but I don't know why it keeps telling me to reinstall them.

Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.
See "Corrupt extension files":
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file.
