I am getting the following error when I tried to change the page layout of a publishing page in my site collection using SharePoint 2010.
Here I am just trying to change the page layout to "Four Item Grid" page layout. But i am not sure why this error is coming up.
I tried to search in the internet but no one has this kind of issue it seems.
Can anybody help me in resolving this issue.

I had this same problem when trying to change the layout on a publishing page.
What I found by running some powershell script against the pages library is that the ows_PublishingPageLayout field actually referenced a layout url from another site. What had happend is that an author downloaded a copy of a page from one site and
uploaded it to another site. Evidently when you do this the url reference to the page layout file does not get corrected (it's fully qualified)
To fix this problem I wrote some powershell script to update the ows_PublishingPageLayout url so the site host url was corrected and did not have the old/original site's url.

Page cannot be displayed error when login to EBS home page

Hi All,
I have some problem login to EBS page, if only one responsibility is active to user it will get error Page cannot be Displayed error 404 on the Main Menu.
However if 2 or more responsibilities are active no error will come up and it will show all responsibilities.

Seems I already found out the issue.
Since we are using "Personal Home Page" for the system profile option "Self Service Personal Home Page Mode" I checked oracle note and found out
that 11i did not support this mode. Maybe this is the problem that is why we are getting page cannot be displayed error when only 1 responsibility is active.
The way to fix this, is to use mode 'Framework Only' instead of 'Personal Home Page' as Oracle are phasing out mod_plsql based UI and it will not be present in future releases. No maintenance is being performed (i.e. bug fixes) to the mod_plsql based UI technology.

Portal Runtime error when modifying: com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par

Hello,
We need some help because we get 'Portal Runtime error: iView: N/A Component Name:N/A' error when trying to access portal logon screen.
This is what we've done:
We've modified com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file and we've uploaded it but it doesn't work. Because of the error, we've overwritten this file with the original one but now it's imposible to access portal.
The situation it seems to be like before the modification of the .par file but we get the same error and can't access portal.
Please, do you know what could be the problem?

Here are the steps you would need to take
1. import the original par file into the NWDS and name the project as
    com.sap.portal.runtime.logon
2. Make sure the project name is com.sap.portal.runtime.logon
3. use winzip/winrar to extract the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file in
    a local directory
4.Under the lib you would find two jar files copy them and paste them in your project
   under dist>PORTAL-INF>lib directory
5.move the files cert....till umResetPass....jsp into the PORTAL-INF directory
6. export the par to the server in question
7. restart your server
This should solve your problem..

HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden error when auto including a jspx page

Hi All -
We have a situation where one of different reports pages gets included inside a main reports page based on user selection via a selectOneChoice control.
But when the Reports Main page tab is clicked for the first time we get a "You are not authorized to view this page" HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden error.
Upon clicking "Refresh" and then clicking the Reports Main page tab again, the page renders correctly.
This is our code snippet. All the report related pages(MainPage.jspx, Schedule.jspx and Budget.jspx) are inside a reports folder under the context root. Please help.

We have solved this, temproarily. But don't know if this is the best method to do this. Please post if somepne has a better way of doing this.
While debugging we found that the ${backing_Reports.measureSelected} field which was set to a default value in backing bean was returned as null when the page renders for the first time. So we had a work around like this in our MainPage.jspx

Error when adding iViews to a page, but only in Internet Explorer

Hi,
I'm having problems with iViews. I have four iViews which all work by themselfs (when I click on preview). When I add two of them to a page, I get an error message, that the page could be displayed with the standard MD screen when I click ok. The other two iViews work perfectly in the same page. Now here comes the weird part: This error only happens in the Internet Explorer. In Firefox all four iViews in that page work without problem.
The iViews have to functionality of displaying the Outlook-folders such as Inbox and so on.
Any idea what could cause this error in the IE and not in Firefox?

this error message is when the report cound not contact the specified report server. since you are saying you are on windows NT i assume you try to run the report using the OC4J instance that comes with iDS.
take a look at the HOW TO article "How to Execute Oracle9iAS Reports Services from Oracle9iDS" in Getting Started with Oracle9i Reports (http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/reports/htdocs/doc_library/getstart/GettingStarted/whatsnew.html)
it describes the necessary configuration you have to do to run a report there for testing.

I have written a simple jsp which I intend on using as an include file. However when I try to compile the file I get the following error message (I am using Tomcat Version 4.1.30).

You're using quite a lot of different classes inside your JSP. Are you sure that you've done the necessary import statements of all these classes ?
An import in JSP should be written like this :
<%@ page import = "java.util.Iterator" %>
<%@ page import = "org.gertcuppens.cluif.Film" %>
