Why do I find the Dogpile (search) addon will not download?

I find Firefox-listed, in Get Addons: " Dogpile 20091122 " , by Ahmed El-Mahdawy, jtekUSA
(Dogpile.com Web Search)
I click on the "Add to Firefox" green button; but I only get error message:
Firefox could not install the search plugin from "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/14038/addon-14038-latest.xml?src=ss" because an engine with the same name already exists.
Odd, as I can't find such an item in my Firefox addons ..... and I'm wondering if this problem might be linked to the yahoo search preference suddenly and unwittingly being applied to my Firefox addressbar.
Is the Dogpile addon incompatible with my Firefox; or has some buggorother corrupted my bits?
While I'm here, is there a safe way to lose the previous version (11.5 r502) of my Shockwave Flash plugin: I have disabled it to avoid any possible conflict with later version, but would prefer it was gone.

I have been using InstantFox addon very happily for some months; and had customised its options, replacing g-for-goggle with dp-for-dogpile and adding several extra search code options.
I'd also removed the redundant g-icon from my address box; as part of a simplification of toolbar area. I prefer to see no unused clutter 24-7. Now yahoo is suddenly the default search from the address bar; but there is no icon for it, to click on as you describe; and simultaneously my InstantFox 'dp(space)searchitem' won't work: I think it got corrupted last week when yahoo searches started.
Today I found dogpile search, as an addon, at this url:

I wrongly thought that might be a simple install; but it won't even download. As I said, I get the error message saying there is already a file with that name.
I now appear to have other problems in about:config:

but what is websearch? it's new to me, and perhaps viral/trojan?
regarding flash, I said I have two date-versions of shockwave flash: not macromedia or adobe. neither will uninstall using win or iobit uninstallers.
and I also don't know whether this win7 is a 64- or 32-bit OS.
I don't have time to chase around the wrekin at the moment; so I'll have to look into this poo in a couple of weeks or so.

HT4059 The book I purchased will not download.

I purchased a book from iTunes and it will not download. I get a message confirming my purchase and to tap download. I've followed the directions dozens of times but still no book.

Have you tried deleting the book from the bookshelf and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the iBooks app ? (And for the epub version did you still have the ibook version in the app - that shouldn't have affected it, but there's a small chance.)

I changed the format of my external HD to GUID so I could boot form the disc. It now takes about 3 min. for the computer to find the disc, so it will not boot form the disc even tho a bootable system (snow lep) is on the disc.

It turned out that the sole problem was the burner not caring for the first blank DVD+R DL's I'd gotten for it. (Fuji, by the way.)
Although I'm definitely relieved, I can't believe I went through that much heartache...and it turned out to be something so stupid!

I have to disagree with BGreg about downloading the driver from HP.com. I would recommend using Apple's instructions in

The security add-on will not download.

I was using firefox when I got a pop up stating due to a security concern, I needed to download an upgrade to fix the problem. I have tried downloading this solution several times, and cannot download it. The auto-start download will not connect to server. If I go to Mozilla website and try that way, I am told the file is corrupt. I am running Windows XP.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

I mechanically clear EVERYTHING often when browsing. What I'm getting live arrows on for a Clear are:
Browing & Download History
Form & Search History (this is the ONE NOT working, no hot arrow)
Next is Cookies
then Cache
Then Active Logins
Then finishes up with Site Preferences.
IT IS THE FORM 7 SEARCH HISTORY which won't clear using new Firefox 8.1 where in 8.0 it did. Thanks.

There was only one mac-affecting change made in 8.0.1 which involved preventing a crash in the latest Java plugin. No other changes were taken. If you don't have the option to clear Form & Search History, this may be because you don't have any? Another possibility is that you have an extension that's preventing it. Can you go to Help > Troubleshooting information and paste here the extensions section?

I bought a Ipad 2 in the US, on my return to England I find that I cannot download some english apps. example BBC iPlayer apps dowmload comes up with request denied. Is there a diffrence between a Ipad sold in the US and one sold in the UK? Is there a solution?

I lived in Florida when I bought the Ipad and registered the Ipad to my US address.including the credit card. The ipad was setup via the US apps store. Yesterday I updated my registation with my uk address and uk credit card.
If I try to down load a UK app I get the message - request denied and then it transfres me to the US apps store.
I suspect that if the apps are not listed on the US apps site then I get the request denied message.

Why opening from java the rpt search for a JNDI when it's setup for a DNS ?

I downloaded CR for eclipse 2.
All is 'quite' working froma a java app.
i've only a problem with an 'jndi name search error'. I'll try to explain.
In the RPT i use a DSN connection to a sql server into a differente machine. When I open directly the rpt, all is working.
From java code, i'll open the report, but when i try to export to pdf iit tell me about an error 'jndi name search error', with the name of the DSN connection i setup.
Why? Why opening rpt all is working, but opening from code NOT is working ?
What's the difference from two opening methods? Why an .rpt opened from java cannot just open the connection like when opened from cristal report !?

The .rpt has been originally created from an ancient version of Cristal report. probably the '8'.
In an italian software called 'Business', the .rpt is populated for printing of invoices and similar docs.
My society is trying to 'integrate' our software with the .rpt used from our customer.
So we want simply open .rpt, add a new logo, set the selection for record and save as pdf.
We so bought Cristal report 2008 (v.12 ), opened the .rpt, saved (so it 's now in a supported version).
The sql server is located at 10.1.2.40, and is a Microsoft Sql Server.
In my development pc I've installed Cr 12. I added a User DSN to point to Sql server at 10.1.2.40, at right DB with username and password. Opening from my development machine the .rpt and 'running' it, it display the data. Ok !
I downloaded CR4 Eclipse 2.
I open report using the unmanaged sdk. (to access it through file system, not via RAS), Ok.
I set selection record. Ok.
I execute .export with 'PDF' for format option and here I get an exception: the JNDI name 'CPR' is not found. Where CPR is the DSN name setup into .rpt from Cristal Report 2008.
So, no, i'm not trying to using the designer from Eclipse, but from the full application. But I must use the rpt at runtime to export some rendered records.
What must I do to do this?
CR4E only supports java based connections, so it is looking for the JDBC/JNDI name and won't look at the DSN's.
How Can i setup at runtime a JDBC / JNDI connection ?
I already have a 'connection' from my code to the sql server, using sqlserver jdbc driver v. 4 from microsoft. And executing query I see the results. So i have right driver, ip, db name, user name and password
But is there a way to simply tell at runtime to my .rpt to use THIS connection? Or a similar connection...

IDOC_OUTPUT_DELVRY FM will interlink with Process code,when you create delivery ,automatically output type will trigger,let me say one example.
You are sending the delivery from SAP R/3 to Middleware.
You create delivery in VL01N Transaction,so output type ( LD00 Standard output type for Delivery ) will trigger.
This output type will interlink with process code ,message type at Partner profile transaction ( WE20).
Process code (WE42,WE41) contains FM ,this fm will create IDOC.
When you maintain output type in SPRO Transaction,here you mention the medium,program name ..
Program name is RSNAST00 -> this will call FM Internally.
If you want to see exactly then you need to debug the rsnast00 ( I am not aware of this one internally).
