Why do I get 2-3 of the same page when I want to go back one page

When I want to go back one page with the back arrow, I frequently have 2 - 3 of the same page and I have to manually go to the one I want or I just increase the number of the same page in the history

Don't know if there is an option make the download window stay up, but you can bring it back with Ctrl+J then right-click on the download to open the folder it was downloaded to.

• In the latest two updates you can only go back one page at a time, previous versions allowed you to jump back several pages by choosing from the twistie - any suggestions?

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4 and later.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
* Right click on the Back or Forward button
* Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens
You can look at this extension:

Did you try Safe Mode?
An extension may be responsible for adding up those entries of the same page.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

• Why am I getting billed twice for the same thing

I ordered 9 songs off of Itunes on 12/29/12 and my visa was billed $10.50 an email was sent to me confirming this.
today (1/2/13) I was sent another email billing my visa for $7.32 for 6 of the same songs I ordered on 12/29/12.
Why am I getting billed twice for these songs.

This a user to user forum. We don't know why you where billed twice. Please navigate to the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page and contact Apple. They will be better suited to answer your question.

• Why do i get 2 notifications of the same email on my home screen?

Using Mail, when the phone is idle and I get a banner notification, there are always 2 of the same message. The Mail client only shows one.
iPhone 5
ver 6.0
VZW
gmail

do you have your mail account setup more than once on your phone?
If not it may be that you are set up with your gmail account with push and a new msg to the server is being triggered by another device.....
Try this fix: under Settings>Mail,Contacts>email address>Account> change the server to m.google.com that will make the emails arrive instantly without push. (just like a blackberry) and should eliminate the duplicate emails.
Good luck

• Why am I getting different results for the same resolution but different Windows boxes, Win 7 and XP

I am running an .exe on two different windows boxes, one in Win 7 and one on XP. I set both for resolution 1024 x 768.
On Win 7 (laptop and old Dell desktop) I have a great looking app. On the WIn XP boxes all the fonts to large. THis doesn't make sense to me as all the PC's have the same resolution.
Has anyone run across this before?

• Why am I getting multiple versions of the same page showing in the Back (and Forward) buttons?

I had this problem with Firefox 4.x -- and I just upgraded to FF5, but the issue still exists.
What happens is, when I've surfed to more than one page (or site) on a tab, then want to go back, I find that my Back button history often has multiple versions of the most recent page loaded, so that when I press the Back button once, it does nothing. Instead, I have to hold the button to display all of that tab's recent history, in order to return to the page that immediately preceded the current page.
Could this be an issue with a plugin, that's loading the page multiple times, or something? It's certainly an annoyance.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide!

Yeah, it's keeping all the history -- better than deleting it, I suppose -- but I'd rather not have to hit that button numerous times.
Here's an example -- I just tried this moments ago.
* I just opened a new tab.
* Typed imdb.com in the address bar.
* Clicked on a NewsDesk story: Jon Hamm Locks In 'Mad Men' for 3 Years
URL: http://www.imdb.com/news/ni11982605/
* Then clicked on Jon Hamm's name.
URL: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0358316/
(And come to think of it, IMDb seems to be where I notice this happening the most frequently.)
So the back button just reloads the Jon Hamm profile page again, and ditto when I finally page back to the news story page (takes me two clicks of the back button to go to the page before it).
Odd thing, when I repeated this process -- without opening a new tab -- now I have FOUR of the news story pages in the drop down from the Back/Forward buttons, but TWO of the Jon Hamm profile pages.
Ah, here's an interesting thing -- every time I go to a new page (Hamm's bio, for instance), then go back, there is suddenly one more instance of the previous page.
I've seen literally DOZENS of instances of one page loaded up in this Back/Forward drop-down history. Not the ideal situation, obviously. ;-)
See screen capture below, if that helps.
Thanks again!

• How do I get Firefox 4 to show the last several pages visited instead of only going back one page at a time? It used to show last 10 or so pages with a down arrow. The down arrow is gone.

In Firefox 3.6 the back arrow button to go back a page also had a down arrow button that would let you jump back multiple pages. How can I get that to show in Firefox 4?

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4.

• Why does a song not return to the same place when I close it?

Recently, for some reason, when I have a song open and press 'my songs' (which effectively closes the song) the song doesn't return to its usual location on the screen/folder. Instead it cues to the top left hand corner, and likewise with every other song, the same thing happens.
It's only just started doing this which makes remembering what is where even more difficult.
Any help much appreciated.

You are welcome, Nick. Don't worry about the "é" - it will depend on your keyboard, if it is easy. On my keyboard I type first the accent ´ and then the e, and all is done

• When I want to go back a page the drop down box is filled with the current page, all earlier sites have disappered out of sight

When I have been at a site for a while and decide to go back, when I use the drop down box it has filled with the current page location. The longer I am there the more times it repeats its self.

• Why do I get three notifications for the same email?

When I receive an email I get three notifications for it. I have no clue why...

Yeah, it's just mail, and it's totally random, most of the times it's three notifications, and when I'm lucky it's just one i'll try the reboot - remove - add algorithm
