Why do i get a -14V output from my DAQpad 6016?

I am using labview to simulate a 6V DC signal. i open the DAQ assistant to set up the analogue output. i set it for ao0.
I have connected my multimeter to pins 15 (AO 0) and 16 (AO GND). but when i measure what comes out it is a -14V DC.
also, this voltage is still measured even when the Virtual instrument is turned off.
What am i doing wrong??
Is it something with the pins?

I never unplug the external harddrive, and the error message comes up only occassionaly upon startup. Maybe the USB connection gets disrupted enough to cause the computer to see it as disconnected and then reconnected while the iMac is powered.

Why do I get other iphone contacts from my itunes account on my phone? I get my wife and son's contacts in my iphone. I do not want. I have tried cloud and no cloud that only provides all the contacts or empty file of contacts.

What laptop are you refering to? Did the drive crash or is the laptop dead? Is the computer you want to transfer to a mac with Itune? If the other computer has Itunes,there are third part software that can transfer music and some file off an ipad to Itunes. Not sure about the Iphone. If you sync to another Itunes in another computer it will erase the ipad and install whatever is on the other Itunes. One of the third part apps. that comes to mind is Irip. Phone to Mac is another.

How to get XML format output from Hyperion Financial Reporting

Dears,
We are using Hyperion Financial Reporting to replace FSG in fusion. I found that Hyperion FR report can be exported to html/excel/pdf format. However, I would like the report to export to xml format.It means I only need the xml data source.
Anyone who knows how to get the xml format output from Hyperion FR, is there any avaiable API?

I think if you export the report, you will be able to open the .des file in Notepad/Wordpad and see xml content.

Variable not getting updated by output from a PL

We have a PL that has the same xsd element as both input and output. So we used the same variable for both input and output operations while invoking this PL assuming that the output from the PL will overwrite the data already present in the variable.
But this is not happening rather the data is persisting in that the data that was there in the variable before the invoke is there after the invoke also and is not getting overwritten by the PL output data.Is there any properties to set to change this behaviour or will this not happen at all.

Why do I get two different results from the same coefficients?

I am getting two different results from the Polynomial Evaluation function.
For the first one, I am getting the coefficients from a Polynomial Fit function. I feed the coefficients from the Fit function into the Poly Eval function and get the correct result of 12.8582 when I evaluate 49940.
For the second one, I create constant array of the SAME values that were returned from the Polynomial Fit function (i typed them in). However, I am getting an incorrect result of -120.7913 when I feed the constant array into the Poly Eval function when I evauate 49940.
How can this happen when I am using the same array values?

are you sure about using the "same" coefficients?
Did you compare them? Did you (atleast) set the display properties to 17 significant digits?

Why do I get multiple class files from 1 java file?

I wrote a dialog box using gridBagConstraints and another program RunPanel to run it as a java application. For the first time since playing with java, I get multiple class files from a single java file.
This seems very strange to me and wonder if anyone else has come across this and what could possibly be the reason for it. I did a clean (in Eclipse) just to make sure it wasn't garbage and sure enough they come back again.
I have ReconPanel.java from which I get ReconPanel.class with the addition of ReconPanel$N.class where N goes from 1 to 5.
The same thing in RunPanel but here there is only 1 extra file, RunPanel$1.class.
I'll include the code for RunPanel since it is relatively small:

Yes, you get number of extra class files based on your number of anomyous class es used. Like in your RunPanel, you get only 1 ..$1.class file, b'coz u have used only 1 annomyous class & i.e WindowAdapter. Take a look at this code :-

Why do i get an empty output if i connect a control to the connector pane ?

hello everyone..
i must admit the behaviour of the following program somewhat blew my mind and made me doubt whether i had ever understood anything about programming in labview.
please have a look at the attached vi and it's subvi. i probe the output of debug.vi (result path) two times. once when it is connected as an indicator on the connector pane and once when it is not. then i run test.vi.
the prize question:
why don't i get identical values?
in the case "result path" is connected i get an empty path at some point. in the case "result path" is not connected i always get a value, something i thought should always be the case. what is happening?

There are a lot of questionable conde constructs that make very little sense.
Where do you actually probe the output (the subVI does not seem have any output connectors assigned)
Are the indicators big enough to avoid wrapping?
Why is the browse option set to "existing files", however, you are building a path from it. This will invariably give you an illegal path.
Instead of all these local variables, use a single feedback node.
Please provide an exact step-by-step procedure on what we should do to reproduce your observations. How can you possibly get a value in an indicator if it is not connected to anything?

When I got my iTunes gift card and activated it, I started buying music from the iTunes Store. I get 2 e-mails. One from iTunes and one from Apple. I read the 2 messages but then one of them explains and tells me that I can get a iPhone 3G (Black 8GB) Free of charge? if I just update to 2.1. I have a old generation iPhone. Does this mean that I just got a free iPhone 3G (Black 8GB).
P.S:
The messages says that I need to write my serial number, Does this mean I just got a message from a hacker who wants to hack my iPhone or does this mean Apple is really offering me this?.
Please somebody reply I have no idea why would apple send me this message, and it tells me that the sponsor was from the CEO of Apple (Steve Jobbs).

Why do I get this strange message from Adobe on my MacBook Pro?

Why do I keep getting a message that says something like "we want to share the space in your computer"? Since the message said it was from Adobe, I removed an Adobe file. Now the message is gone, but I cannot open various programs that tell me I need that Adobe file to read or open certain programs. What do I do?

Can´t get optical sound output from my brand new mini

have connected the MM to an optical input on my Yamaha RX-V659, but I can´t get no sound.
Mac-side: After connecting and turning on, "System Prefs -> Sound -> Output" has changed to Digital Output and says that no output controls are available for this output. I have tried playing from iTunes and DVD Player. In DVD player the option for selecting Digital Output had appeared, and I chose that. When I take a look at the end of the cable I plug into the receiver I see a constant red light.
Yamaha-side: I have tried 2 different optical inputs, and gone over my settings several times. The receiver does not seem to detect digital audio coming in. I tried the Signal Info menu on my receiver, and for another source it output:
PCM, 48kHz, 2.0, Analog
On the optical input it says:
---, ---, 2.0, Analog

I have a similar setup to a Kenwood receiver. You are correct that ALL system sounds (frontrow, system alerts, etc.) will play through to your stereo.
Have you tried switching Toslink cables and/or the toslink to miniplug adapter that is plugged into the mini?
I had a bad cable at one point in time, and a bad adapter at another point in the life of this system. You perhaps tried these things already but I only saw mention of trying 2 different inputs (I assume on the receiver) and made no mention of cables/adapters.
Let me know how you make out.

Why am I getting 2 IP addresses from the cable modem?

I recently renewed my IP address for my cable modem (by booting into Windows and doing the ipconfig thing). It did this successfully and assigned me a new static IP.
However back in OS X I am now getting two IP addresses depending on whether I connect by ethernet or Airport. When I connect my MacBook straight to the cable modem by ethernet it gives me the new IP address. However when I connect the Airport Extreme Base Station to the cable modem and do all the relevant restarting, it insists I still have the old IP address. This can't be right. Is it an errant preference hanging about in the Base Station? I have tried restoring it to default and setting up from scratch but it persists.
I know the difference between public and distributed addresses... the two I'm talking about are the public kind (e.g. 82.114.223.43 etc)

What do you mean by "old" and "new" IP addresses? What TYPE of IP addresses are you talking about? Specific numbers for example?
In general, the typical cable modem set up should work as follows: your ISP will assign an IP address to your cable modem. This IP address can be permanently fixed (static) or occasionally change (dynamic) - whether you get a static or dynamic IP address depends on your ISP. This IP address is considered your "public" IP address.
What you plug in directly after the cable modem will take on this IP address, since the cable modem merely passes on the IP address info (and serves no routing functions). So, if you plug in your MacBook directly to the modem, your MacBook will take on the IP address that your cable modem passes through, as assigned by your ISP; only your MacBook will have internet access.
On the other hand, if you plug in to the modem a router, such as Airport Extreme Base Station, the router will be assigned the "public" IP address received from the cable modem on its WAN (wide area network) side, i.e. the "side" that interfaces with the public Internet. When your router is set up to SHARE this one public IP address with multiple computers/clients, it has to create a private sub-network, otherwise known as the LAN (local area network). Whether you plug computers in via ethernet to the router, or connect wirelessly to the router (or even both!), your router will create IP addresses for each of its LAN clients so that it can identify everyone. As long as the client has a different hardware MAC address, the router will assign it an unique IP address. (That's why you had 2 IP addresses for your MacBook - one for the ethernet connection, and the other for the Airport connection - each network interface having a different MAC address, and thus receiving a different IP address from the router.)
Your router will always maintain its WAN IP address, as long as your ISP gives you that IP address (via your cable modem). However your MacBook, Windows and other clients may be assigned different LAN IP addresses depending on how you configured your router's DHCP server settings. The LAN clients in the context of your subnet would NOT be assigned the router's public WAN IP address when the router is set up to share that connection.
If you understand the whole WAN v. LAN IP addressing thing, but you're not getting the results you expect, try powering off EVERY single piece of equipment on your network. Wait several minutes so that everything is cleared from the equipments' memory. Then power on and wait until the equipment is in ready state, in this sequence: 1-cable modem..., 2-main router (AEBS)..., 3-remote bases/bridges (if any)..., 4-computers and other client devices.
