Why do I get a prompt to create an iCloud account when I already have one?

When I try to turn on notes so my iPhone and iPad will sync, I am prompted to create an account when I already have one. Why? How can I do this?

Have you created an iCloud account? This is not the account or ID you use for iTunes. And where exactly are you turning on notes? In what area within settings of your devices?

Aperture won't let me log in when ordering prints. It only allows me to Create a New Account (which I already have one).

When I log in during the "order prints" sequence, it then pops up "Create a New Account" set of fields. I tried filling those out with my existing account info, then it gets into a continuous loop with the server, probably confused because I already have that account. The difference between iPhoto and Aperture is, that iPhoto has its own setting for the country of the Print Products Store in the Perferences > Advanced Panel, but Aperture does not have this option. Aperture will connect to the Print Products Store according to the Language&Regions se settings in your System Preferences.

I am being asked to upgrade my account when I already have a plan to create PDFs from other Word formats

Have you got the confirmation email from them? if not - you still have to wait. If wait time >2 weeks then I would suggest emailing ([email protected]) or calling them.

How do I create a new iTunes account when I already have a dysfunctional iTunes account that Apple can't seem to bother fixing?

Apple has no idea how bad their I.D. system is because they have an auto response set up that means they can stay totally uninformed about it unless you are willing to pay $59 for a one-time help service call. I only want to load up my $25 iTunes Gift Card, and to pay $59 for this is not an option for me. The problem is when I try to change my password, the email notification goes to another email address, not the email address I filed with Apple when I opened my account and there is nothing in my account setup that allows me to change this. Apple apparently does not want me to purchase or use an iTunes Gift Card, because I won't use it until Apple fixes this problem they have with their system and everytime I try to get support I get an auto response that is of no help at all; the account password change notification still goes to an email address that is not mine.

I have experienced the exact same problem. There is no good solution to these poorly designed and overly complex login protocols. After unsuccessfully trying to retrieve my password or change my password I finally set up a new email account, a new Apple ID and a new iTunes account.
I know it is not a good solution, but it worked.

Why is there an upgrade link on my adobe cloud page when I already have a full membership?

When I log into my adobe cloud, at the top left side of the window it has three links. One is "files", one is "Apps" and one in red "UPGRADE". I have a full membership for at least 6 more months, and although I have the introductary price, I purchased it with the understanding that this was a full membership. Can Adobe remove this link? It really seams to distract me when I think I'm not getting a full version of software, and like today have wasted some valuable working time simply on trying to find out how to contact Adobe without speaking to someone for an hour.
Oh yes, and also when I click on APP to upgrade,(lets say, as in today, Literoom) the two links under each software icon now says "try" or "learnmore". (Although it seems like I have full versions of software downloaded.) I could have sworn at one time it was "download" and "learnmore".
If I'm not getting my full version software then this cloud stuff is for the birds and it's not going to work for us faithful Adobe consummers.

I have confirmed you have a paid membership. You are getting the full version of all the software included.
What happens if you sign out, clear the cache and cookies in browser, restart the browser and sign back in? Do you still see the Upgrade link?

How do I get the subsidized price for a new phone when I already have a plan?

I have been a Verizon customer since September. I have a dumb phone, and I'm really having trouble keeping up with my life. Now that the Droid 4 is coming out in February I've decided that it's time to upgrade. The Droid is coming out at $199 with a two year contract, I think. My question is, what do I have to do to get the subsidized price for the phone? In my current contract I can't upgrade until 2013. Should I cancel that contract all together and just pay the ETF? Then get a new contract with the new phone? Can I even do that? Also, would there be any way to keep my phone number in this situation?

Actually, if you are not ALREADY on a Family Plan, it WILL end up costing you more than this extra $10/month. For example, if you are on the 450 minute Individual Plan, you are paying $40/month and possibly $20/month for unlimited texting. The smallest Family Plan(700 minutes/month) would put you at $70/month and if you want the same unlimited texting, it would be an additional $30/month. This is $100/month vs $60/month on an Individual Plan which comes out to an additional $40/month x 19 months(24 months - 5 months you have already completed on your original line) = $760 ADDITIONAL you would pay until you could cancel your original line. If you wanted to keep your original #, though, you would instead pay an ADDITIONAL $960($40 x 24 months) until you could cancel your new line. Either way, it would MUCH cheaper to just pay full retail for the new phone.
Remember, this is ONLY if you are currently on an Individual Plan and change to a Family Plan with 2 phones. If you are currently on a Family Plan with others, and have the ability to add an additional line, your additional payments would not be this high.

Getting "This is not your primary iCloud account" when it is and works on another MacBook

I am seeing the following message in my iCloud preference pane:
"This is not your primary iCloud account"
When I know in fact it is my primary and my only account. I have it setup on my iPhone 4 and my work MacBook Pro and it is working correctly with the same account information on both of those.
Anybody else seeing this?

I found rebooting to be the KEY item in this process. As long as I didn't reboot, it would never complete the process. As soon as the account is deleted from the mail, calendar, and contacts list, reboot, THEN go to the iCloud prefs screen and set things up....it works.

There is no way to create a rescue email address without correctly answering two of the questions. You need to ask Apple to reset them; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

I already quoted the minimum requirements, look in the post before yours.
You will have to upgrade your Mac to at least 10.7.5, upgrades are not free, you buy them from the App Store. Mountain Lion is the best but your Mac must be compatible.
Here is a list of compatible machines.
Also note that some older apps (Office 2004, Appleworks) will not run on Mountain Lion.
