Why do i get Adobe premiere pro family with the Edu plan for CC ?

I bought , the edu plan for creative cloud. And all i get is Adobe Premiere pro ? Any ways i could get the Normal version of Adobe Premiere pro ?

As per the EDU plan, users are entitled to get all the applications mentioned in this webpage.

If you are looking for Premiere Pro CS6 instead of Premiere Pro CC, that's not possible in CC as with cloud you will get the latest applications.

Can't get Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to launch.

Can't get Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to launch. I click the icon and get the circular (opening animated icon) for about 3 seconds and then nothing. I've have this problem before and rebooting worked - not this time. I've went into the Adobe Premiere preferences files in the USERs directory and deleted the Premiere Pro file as an option to fix this issue which I found on this discussion board and that didn't work either.

Honestly, you did not get my point.
What I am saying is, that the icon view has no rational order of files. Why is that?
At least there should be a way to figure out, even if it is not possble to alter the sort criteria, in which order the files are listed in icon view.
If I serach for a spezific file, sure I can use list mode, but what about "there were a couple of frames with that car, and it was shot after file X … a just let me fastly scrub trough the footage in that brandnew icon view … wait … where is … aehm .. ok, I scrub trough every file."
Do not get me wrong, I love the new icon view possibilities so much, that I want to actually use them.
Please just fix it Adobe, or tell me how to decrypt the sort mechanism.

How should an editor use this view seriously?
Honestly, to sort manually. If you want an auto sort, use List view.

After having upgraded to Premiere CS5 and Blackmagic 7.6.4, I am experiencing a short list of undesirable video playback results (that were not present in CS4 with Blackmagic 7.6). PSE and PRE have different serial numbers. If you bought both programs you should have two separate serial numbers.

Why cant I install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4/Encore ?

So a while ago , my encoder for PP stopped working, so I uninstalled everything today, and I re-downloaded the Premiere Pro trial version - but when I install it , after about 3 min it says that it couldnt install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 & Encore.
when I press the more information botton it shows me a pop-up with this text:

Did you have the full-paid version originally, or the "trial?"
If you had the full-paid version, why did you download the trial?
If you had the trial, it does stop working after a period of time - it is limited that way. If you had the trial, you can never install another trial on that machine. It's a one-time deal.
If you did have the trial, you will want to not only uninstall it, but also run the Adobe CS4 CleanScript a few times, before you attempt to install the full-paid version, or you WILL have problems.
Let us know exactly what you had, and what you wish to do now, and someone can help you.

Why do I get a Premiere Pro CS4 symbol in the project folder when I save a CC-project?

When I save a project edited with Premiere Pro CC in the project folder I get a symbol for Premiere Pro CS4 instead ot getting the CC-symbol. I can't open the CC-project by clicking the CS4-symbol. Why?

I found out myself that you can choose in the project folder if you want to save the project in CS4 or CC. Sorry I took your time with my problem.

Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

Adobe support was no help. But they should have been this error has been occuring in various Adobe CS products since CS3! So why is it happening again in the latest CS6? It appears to be random as I have installed three licenses of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and two and working corrrectly (so far), the third failed after loading a particularly large video into a project on the second day after the install. These machines are i5 CORE four with 16GB of ram and plenty of free disk running Windows 7 SP1 and IE9. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Premiere Pro Issues with Maverick

Hello Apple friends, photographers, and video editors
Since I installed Maverick, I have the following issues with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6:
Why in **** did I update before waiting 6 months...
- browser window flashes on then disapears when importing new files.
- browser window sometimes shows all items gryed out when importing files.
- cannot "Link Media" by example multiple TIFF and one EDL file for subtitles. 1st time menu quickly appears then disapears, then all is greyed out.
I have a mid 2012 Macbook PRo Retina with SSD @ 50% capacity. All else is extremely fast.
All my Adobe Master Collection CS6 is up to date.

Suggest you post on the Adobe forums since it's their software you're having issues with.

How to get Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 to Recognize Proxy files created on an Omneon Server

I work for a non profit at Rice University. For years we have been shooting multicam and recording to an Omneon Server system. The Omneon creates its own proxy files which we used to just load onto Fincal Cut 7. We have now upgraded our computers and programs and are using Premiere Pro CS6. When I load the Proxy file created by Omneon, Premiere won't recognize the file as a proxy, it will just tell me there is no video or audio attached to the file.

The Proxy has a QT wrapper it looks like but won't play on the latest version of QT I have to use QT7.

I turned off my firewalls, antivirus etc. checked to see if the msi was running and still nothing.
Adobe does not provide phone support and their customer chat directed me here, again.

I recall few discussions that really take advantage of knowledge of such error logs They do point to areas of issues.
Did Premiere and other elements install okay? Is this error log redacted? (If so, okay; just curious.)

Adobe Premiere Pro - Crashing with OpenCL Hardware Acceleration on Export

Hey everybody,
One of the major reasons I decided to buckle down and pay for PPCC was the OpenCL Hardware acceleration with AMD cards. I run two AMD Radeon 7870s in Crossfire right now, and I immediately noticed a huge difference in performance when editing. When it came time to export my video, though, Premiere Pro would crash after rendering around 2% of the full video. I've tried both with and without Crossfire activated but using OpenCL with Hardware acceleration crashed my export no matter what. As soon as I turned it back to regular Mercury Playback (software only), the project rendered just fine.
I currently have the lastest AMD drivers and have had no other issues with my card, and I also gave PPCC the latest update as well. Any idea why this might be happening? I wouldn't be surprised if I need to wait for a latest AMD driver in order to get things to work with the brand new CC apps, but I figured I'd farm my question out here just in case. I'm running on Windows 8 64 bit.

Yes. I have problems with my new AMD 1950 3GB. I creat 2h 20 min project on premiere cc and put on all material color correction. NO lumetri. Premiere crache on export about 1h after working.
I was editing AVCHD material and export from presets to Blu-Ray H264 and mpeg2 with the same result.

It is confusing because I bought that card especially for Premiere CC, and I was thinking to bought second one, and maybe more...
